Does anyone know of a decent paint program that'll work with the kaiser?
Maybe something similar to MS Paint, and that's hopefully freeware?
i use pocketpicture (http://osdmsoftware.googlepages.com/pocketpicture). i think its pretty good
Photogenics is good, and so is Pocket Artist. Neither of them are free though.
VSPainter LE

I use VSpainter, but now i will have to also try Photogenics, Pocket Artist, and pocketpicture.

Hey folks I'm looking to find out if there is an OCR tool that works like WorldCard Mobile, except recognizes the text and places it in some text/word file rather than formatting the text to contacts. Does anyone know if such an app exists? I love WorldCard Mobile, but it's only limited to business cards. I'd like to photograph text in book and convert that into editable text on my device.
http://www.scanr.com/
Give this a try.
Interesting topic, actually..
With scanr you have to sign up with them. Is there a standalone software?
from what I understand those guys are ocr'ing Your uploaded pix and sending them back in pdf format.
weak solution imho. I would rather do it by myself with abbyy.
that would be sooo cool and in-your-face app tho...
oh well...

Nice. I've just searched and didn't find a very thorough list of what's out there. At least not in this forum. Just a few short threads with the same couple of image editors referenced.

There's a pretty good roundup of retail programs available on MobileTech Review. Looks like you've found Pocket Artist. It's probably one of the best out there. But it will set you back $20. Well worth the price though.
Here are a few others to check out. Pencil Box Deluxe will set you back about $10, but works well and has some great features. Mobile Atelier works pretty well. This is the free version, but I believe there's also a retail version available. A similar program is VSPainter. It's retail at $25, but there's also a slightly crippled free version available. Then there's PocketPicture. It's pretty basic, but free and good for doodling. And here's another called Mobile Painting.
Then you've got a whole slew of very basic, free, and similar paint-clone programs. Such as PaintWinCE, KidColor, MiTo Team Paint, Paint & Create, and PDAcraft Paint.
Then there are programs like SPB Imageer. Not a drawing program per say, but does have some photo editing capabilities. Same with XnView, and LookMobile.
Have fun drawing!
Thanks alot, man. That was alot of nice drawing tools!
Any recommendations for a Holy Bible app?
Thanks for all of the recommendations. Here is a list of what you have posted so far...
- http://www.e-sword.net/pocketpc/ [I really like this app, I have used it (and the desktop version) for awhile. I just don't like that the developer hasn't integrated touch functions yet. The tiny "action" buttons and drop down menus are a bit annoying. I would also like some touch jesturing while scrolling through the text.]

Any other recommendations??? I will continue to edit new responses. Thanks.
Check out olivetree.com
How about the Torah, the Koran, the Book of Cybalism, the Epic of Gilgamesh and the Book of the Law?

I use olive tree. It works fairly well, not the best designed piece of software but gets the job done.
I've used Pocket Bible since my days with a Handspring Trio!

This one has many bible versions, commentaries, and dictionaries available to choose from, for free, all in one package. Works great in VGA on Pro.
I don't want to sound pedantic but is it the right forum for this subject? I doubt such software is specific to the Raphael device...

Moved to Raph Software. Would also recommend that the OP consider consolidating all the suggestions into the first post if sufficient information is present to help others who might be looking for the same info.
Laridian Pocket Bible
+1 for Laridian.com
I have been very happy with Bible With You by gmpsoft.com. You can download a fully functional trial from their web site.
There really is no true finger friendly PPC bible app out there, but I like Laridian because they allow you to tweak so many options that you can make it somewhat finger friendly ( I can go to about any bible verse just using my finger, but moreso my fingernail). Look at what I mean in the pictures below. Also I like the fact that Laridian has like 140 different types of books or Bibles that you can add to their program.
One I use on my iPod Touch and the Blackberry Bold (which I just sent back and am currently waiting for my Fuze), is YouVersion.com.
While it is free, you'll have to have some type of data plan to use this, since it does connect to their server for the data. But they've got most translations (at least most translations people use), and it is touch friendly.
Obviously I've not seen this yet on the Fuze, BUT I can't wait to check it out.

Well, for those of us who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, there's the Holy Bible (King James Version), the Book of Mormon, The Doctrine and Covenants and the Pearl of Great Price

Great, thanks JonnoB!
My laridian broke. It seems to be conflicting with something else. Has anyone else had this problem?
Another Bible Program I found
The people at AcroBible make an excellent version for the iPhone/iTouch, and offer NASB, NIV, KJV, etc.
I'm not sure how well their app has translated to the WinMo format, but like I said....they did an excellent job with their Apple version.
See them at www.acrobible.com.

Does anyone uses or knows a good genealogy software? Preferably free. Google doesn't find many things.
Hey friend, try this link. Has more than just PPC software, but seems promising.
