QTEK 2020 POWER battery, the world record, I do it my self.can last more than a week in normal
it is 1200+2200*3=7800mah, SIX times MORE than the orginal battery, and the qtek2020 is wm5.0 frmo windows mobile 2003, I bought it three years ago
I found that this forum is for QTEK2020I, please help me to move the post to the "Himalaya & Andes" forum
Tell me do you walk around with that? if so do you walk leaning to one side? jeeeez must be like carrying a brick.
yes,I take it daily life. It's really much heavyer than the orginal battery, but being using for several days ,you will used to it,and you will fell how powerful when using gps(with buletooth),reding books, playing games it's. that's why I made it
Well I hate to tell you but I bought a 3600 Battery cost very little and I can go two / three days with out recharging if needed but soon as I connect to my car and the GPS its charged up and it doesn't weigh very much at all
yes,it's in city
but I make it for outdoor
LoL, amazing but for you security I think that you should not play with the batteries otherwise *BANG* likes LG one.
2 The Owl: Where did you buy 3600 battery an how much was it?
It was off of Ebay but I found their e-mail address it is [email protected]
and was £9.99 plus P & P which made it £15.98
Beware that the 3600mAh Battery comes from Hong Kong (which isn't a bad thing) but it does come with an extended back - and if you use them with a GPS, you will probably need to modify the holder to accommodate the extra depth of the battery.
But - the battery is really really good and worth having
I bought one of these mounts
http://www.blueunplugged.com/p.aspx?p=114876&#moreinfo
I also as has been previously stated bought one of these Batterys
http://www.digitalera.co.uk/products/XDA_Battery_for_O2_XDA_II_XDA_IIi_High_Capacity-759-44.html
Both work together with out ANY modifications
Forgot to say I do use it for the GPS and this is the uint
http://www.pdamods.com/proddetail.asp?prod=LPTTGPSREC
lol amazing modif on battery
can you show the schema it's very interesting job

Does anyone have an internal battery for the XDA 1 for sale?
Must hold a decent charge.
Alternatively an old dead battery will do as I only require the small circuit board mounted on the battery.
same here....i really need an internal battery too...its not available here in my country!!
same here....i really need an internal battery too...its not available here in my country!!
U poor bastard I Had to destroy one of my XDA's (I) cause the screen was ****ed If I still had the parts I would of Given them too ya Sorry.
I have an XDA1 with broken screen if needed name your price including shipping. Everything else works great.
I have a battery for xda 1, it was charged last about 6 weeks ago and held a good charge, its a pain in the ass, I would like to keep it as a spare but have no way of keeping it charged, unless somebody knows different.
I have an extra internal battery from a dead XDA.
Batterie and displays XDA
Just for the people out there who damaged their touchscreen/display, or have a bad battery, The site Proporta.com in the UK have a good service for repairing XDA's. I damaged my touchscreen, and they can repair it perfectly or put in an new battery for an reasonable price.
You buy a transport box, wich is send to you, you sent back in the special box your XDA and it comes back repaired. Look to the website under the ''PDA REPAIR" button for more info.
I hope this will help some of you guys.
guys this is my first tutorial...so please bear with me
my 2 yr old gene needed a battery change as it could give a backup of 15 mins only....and the new battery cost around INR 1000.....while going thru my junks i found a nokia cellphone which i used rarely and it had a new battery in it...an idea popped in my mind. the idea was to change the cell and replace it with the nokia cell...after inspecting both the batteries carefully...the body structure were almost identical in shape and size though the nokia cell was a little slimmer than gene's sanyo cell...the specs of gene battery "Sanyo Model:WIZA16" and the nokia battery "BL-5c" were
Sanyo Model WIZA16 :3.7VDC 1250mAH li-ion battery
BL-5c: 3.7VDC 1220mAH li-ion battery
the only thing which mattered was..I was short of 30mAh....i decided to give it a shot....
Step 1 : Dismantle the sanyo battery by removing the label covering it..then carefully removed the plastic shell covering...
Step 2 : You'll find a pcb attached to it on the side cell.Handle with care.
Step 3 : with the help of multi tester probe the terminals and find out which is +ive and -ive and mark it on da pcb.
Step 4 :You'll need some basic soldering skills to desolder the positive and the negative terminals of the cell from the pcb.after detaching the terminals as i found out the base of the cell is positive where as the other point is -negative. see the attached pics
Step 5 :do the same on nokia battery....we wont be needing the top(which includes the terminals) and bottom plastic shell
Step 6 :removed the cell from pcb...well the nokia cell has both the terminals on one side as compared to sanyo's cell (see the pics)
Step 7:after seperating both the cells from their respective pcbs....we're going to attach pcb of sanyo to the nokia cell
Step 8 :becareful wen soldering the terminals on the pcb....it should be soldered the same way as it was on the sanyo cell...or youll end up screwing the pcb.double check it again with muli tester.
Step 9 :With the help a wire...connect the negative terminal of the cell to the pcb
Step 10 :Now put the cell and pcb back in to the sanyo's plastic shell...and youre done.....put the newly refurbished battery into the gene....and let it charge for atleast 3 hrs.
for me this battery is working as a new one the backup time is great...i wonder if there would be any change in performance in this cell which has 1220mAH as compared to original cell which had 1250mAH.
hope you guys like my tutorial...its kinda short.....i know.
i'll upload more pics later....and sorry for blurry images....

anyways...i think nokia ngage battery is more suitable for this hack...BL-6C...its 1070mAH...but man this battery is giving great back up just as new!
and one thing more...its an advise to all gene users...avoid charging ur gene on USB...i've read it on da forum somewhere...it shortens battery life and because all batteries have a limited number of charge cycles.continously charging makes battery lose a lot of charge cycles,When battery cells finish the number of life-cycles, theyre no more useful....decreasing the total capacity of battery. So its better to charge on Ac adaptor once...than chargin it thru USB...even though its fully charged !
good job man!!
i m very happy because original batt of gene cost rs 1400 .
u have done great job! can u plz upload a video of this hack because i can't get how to disseminate old sanyo batt. i know if i did wrong all hack will waste because it can damage plastic shell and pcb also.
buddy can u tell any hack for lenovo laptop batt also??

hello
its quite easy....all u have to do is remove the sticker label of the battery....once u remove it....u'l find tape covering the plastic shell to the cell...remove that too..... after that remove the shell gently n carefully...and yeah its better to cut terminal plates from da cell by pliers....than to desolder caz the terminals are solder at the bottom side of the PCB....u can desolder it easily after.
i wish i cud upload da video....but im having really low speed...using mobile office from airtel right now...my airtel broadband failed...since last week
and about the laptop batteries....u can find amazing DIY (Do IT Yourself) stuffs on http://www.instructables.com regarding it but u'll need to find same type of cells !
njoy !

This is a genius trick, more cheaper than buy an OEM battery.
I think all people in gene forum are from india, and only me that come from Indonesia. Should I move to India??
Good Job.
Nice work, I thing BL5c is a good battery .Also I will say sony erricsson battery is much better, I once have something like w550i , or 530i, it had excellent battery back up,
Could we not put a battery something like that? It seems like u like to play with soldering circuits like that, Even I like that way, I still remember many capacitors use to burst
Thanks buddy, I will wait for my sanyo bat to be useless .
he buddy
i didn't found bl-5c with 1230mAh
all BL-5c comes with only 850mAh
do u have any idea 1230 mah battery's phone model no.

Hey, my eternal search for a new phone has finally brought me here. Anyway, i've got an offer of a (used, unlocked) HTC Diamond for £115 delivered. Should i go for it? Seems in reasonably good nick:
http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll298/v88p/DSCF1089.jpg
http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll298/v88p/DSCF1092.jpg
http://i291.photobucket.com/albums/ll298/v88p/DSCF1094.jpg
and it comes with Tomtom Europe. Although a new T-Mobile Pulse (3.5" Android phone, a few 'corners cut' if you know what i mean) is only £150 and a TG01 (4.1" WinMo Snapdragon device) is £160. Then you start getting onto stuff like a used Magic or a new HTC Tattoo or Touch2 but they're not really the best value for money.
So what do you think, Diamond or other? Cheers.
help
there are a few things to be careful of with the diamond problems that you may not notice until you have used it for a while
1. camera often breaks just don't load sometimes
2. they develop battery problems drains way to fast
3. wifi connection problems
if you can use the phone for a day or 2 before buying it would help
ps. has it got the original charger???????
It's on Amazon marketplace so i can't really use it before hand... the actual product description is:
Unlocked, boxed, general wear and tear, phone in good working order. Comes with tomtom europe pre-installed, original charger, in car charger, car windscreen mount, 3.5 headphones adaptor, usb battery charger.

What would you suggest?
im on my 3rd diamond love the phone so mabye just go for it if it does have problems sell it on
I got question. Recived the tattoo, Im happy with it, but since checking/testing etc battery ends WAY to fast...
So what do u guys think about this battery?
h ttp://cgi.ebay.com/2000mAh-Battery-HTC-A3288-CLIC100-Tattoo-Free-Shipg_W0QQitemZ380222277672QQcmdZViewItemQQptZPDA_Accessories?hash=item5887038828
Could it be ok? Its kinda 2mAh instead of 1.1, but its not original, what could be its quality? ETC? Usefull to replace original with this one ? Want to use it instead of one inside not as backup battery...
there was a similar bettery for the touch diamond but it came with a new battery cover and made the phone twice its normal size!
I owuld be interested to read any reviews on this though
Hey
You should indeed look out with those High Capacity batteries. Most come with a thick cover, which you don't want, I presume .
I have also been following two batteries and I have even messaged some of the buyers.
First one I found: 1300mAh HIGH CAPACITY BATTERY FOR HTC TATTOO TOUCH2 UK:
h ttp://bit.ly/b4fs3E
I've already got two replies, both saying it is a bit better, but didn't make a world of difference.
Second battery: PDA BATTERY FOR HTC Diamond 2 Touch 2 Tattoo 1350mAh:
h ttp://bit.ly/bxpGvi
Just got one very positive reply. The buyer told me she only had to charge it daily, instead of three times a day. (Don't know how she manages to do that, perhaps with wi-fi 24/7 on or something ) But it sounds like a real improvement. I will probably buy the second one as well.
Greetings
I just bought a TyTN II from ebay.. I thought it would be a nice addition to my ever so small collection of PDA's, and it was relatively cheap.
Here's the link (remove spaces):
ht tp://c gi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260569169356#ht_3409wt_1276
Now, the seller claims it to be 100% oem, but I'm not completely sure.. In case it's a knockoff, I'll use Paypal to get my refund
So my question is, what do you guys think? is this the real deal, or just another fake TyTN II? I've heard about the knockoffs, but I havn't seen anyone.
You call that cheap? That's the real deal though.
yeah well, it's about 1/4 of retail price back in the days it's not too bad for nice little gadget like that
the auction doesn't display any photos of the actual phone, but I'm pretty confident that it's a legit OEM phone by the description, price and the claims made by the seller that it's "100% brand new & genuine or money return", even though it ships from HONG KONG
Anyway, what would a knockoff be like? and what's the price for one of those? What would one look for, in order to spot the knockoffs?
Cheers
Sorry for bumping this thread, but can anyone else confirm this is the real deal, so I can have some peace of mind?
Show us some real picks of it and we will tell you 100%
We know about this phone not the knock off's. If it doesn't look like the one in the pics then it's not what it says it is. It's a 3 year old phone, I wouldn't worry so much about knock off's.
Well, that would be like getting a picture from e.g t-mobile of the specific device you're gonna order. The seller is a powerseller with several (10+ in description) htc tytn II's.. When I ask him he keeps reassuring me that the phone is as described with official specs and pics from HTC and that it's 100 % brand new & genuine.
Would you feel good about this, or would you prepare for a full refund?
Well, I just got my Kaiser Eventhough it's a KAIS100, it has a front camera in addition to the rear-facing one. HTC could confirm it was the real deal, but... i think about the ONLY thing OEM in the package was the phone.... There were 3 chargers in the package (none of which fit !!!!) and i'm not too sure about the battery which said DynaPack on the outer side, and had å chrome-like inner side.
and btw, the battery is behaving weird. the phone takes a very long time to charge. lets say i have 50% battery, and i start charging for 30 min, and i end up with 55% battery.. then i reset my phone, and upon boot i all of a sudden have 82% (for instance)... i don't know if it's just old, or fake..

I have had three batteries so far for my Kaiser. One was the " chrome type " back, that was the original and the other two were cheap replacement batteries that were all black except for the terminals. They all worked the same.
I would just buy a new battery , seeing as the phone is new to you. Might as well start out with a new battery too.. If HTC ran the serial number and says the phone is legit, I wouldn't worry about wether it is real or not.
DENNCCOOOO
What he said.
Well, it seems its actually a modified AT&T Tilt with a added front camera. Void seals were broken, I think both front and backcover is fake, and the voicedialbutton doesn't show a image of a "speech bubble" but PTT (which seems to be used on AT&T phones)
An ATT Tilt is still a Kaiser..

Ok, a Kaiser has a front camera, does the Tilt?
That's pretty strange, they replaced everything but the insides? The Keyboard isn't from a tilt (as far as I could tell).

Yeah, very strange indeed. It seems as they took a tilt, put on a front camera, changed the housing and keyboard (it's not even a wwe keyboard - it has some chinese letters and other layout on the Fn-keys) and hspl'ed the phone with the first OliP0f hspl.... Either way, after confronting the seller, he did admit that it wasn't a unlocked HTC TyTN II, because they got the best prices on these phones from carriers... He also proposed to give me a 70 USD refund, and a HTC bluetooth headset as a compensation, after i expressed my dissapointment with the phone.
Well, i'm still not sure if the battery is OEM, and also if the housing and keyboard is OEM, but i guess i'll never know for sure
