Standalone flash player? - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

Hi, I installed the adobe flash player plugin for Internet Explorer (IE) (for HTC Kaiser, of course), and still I'm not able of play an *.swf file (I put the swf file on the memory card folder and try to play it doing a click from Resco File Explorer), okay this launches the IE, but the keeps 'loading' the animation and displays nothing... I tryied the fash player 6 and 7, with the same results ... of course, I reset the phone, associated the *.swf extension with the IE and nothing!!
I found the smartflash standalone flash player (free), it's a rather regular player, the keyboard doesn't work and it has some screen garbage ... is there another (good) flash player for THC Kaiser?
I just want to see some nice animations made with flash (ending in .swf) with my kaiser while I'm waiting ...
Thanks in advance,
Jean H//

You should take a look at:
Adobe FlashLite 2.1
I'm not sure if it works in IE, but I'm pretty sure that it does work in opera mobile.

Tilt issue...

I am using one of Dutty's cooked roms for my Tilt and it comes pre-loaded with "HTC Streaming Media Player" and I have downloaded and installed TCPMP player and I have used resco file explorer to associate all files with youtube video extensions to be default opened by TCPMP but when I click on a link on youtube to play a video the HTC player keeps comming up I have even done the registry edit for the default program and it is set to TCPMP and I have done a soft reset still not working any ideas? Yes the flash plugin for TCPMP is installed and working. I have also defined default applications to open just about every file extension. Thanks guys
Here are some instructions to do what i think you're trying to do:
http://ytpocket.com/install.php
But if you're lazy like me, just install youtubeplay

Dutty Rom opens Streaming Media

I was trying to watch a youtube video and no matter what i do when i go to http://m.youtube.com when i click on a link it opens "Streaming Media" witch seems not to work.. when i try to install TCPMP and do what it instructed still no matter what the Streaming media app still opens..
what am i doing wrong?
I've never used either before, but I would try setting TCPMP as the default handler for .flv files
dutty rom open streaming media

HTC Home VGA version and audiomanager

I found a VGA version of HTC Home and installed it, and that's working great. Much faster than TF3D. However, I flashed Da_G's clean rom, which doesn't have audiomanager, so I can't use the built-in media player on the home screen. It just says, "The file 'AudioManager' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalled or restoring the file." I can't customize Home either because HHC doesn't work with this version for some reason. I found a post that had all the files for AudioManager, but when I tried to paste them to the Windows directory via my computer, it wouldn't let me copy .xml files over (said something about not being allowed to create this file), and if I tried to copy them over from my storage card it froze the phone. So my question is, does anyone know of a cab for AudioManager that actually works, or if there's any way to customize HTC Home WITHOUT using HTC Home Customizer in order to get the media player to use WMP or some other media player? I had a different, resized QVGA version of Home that used WMP instead of AudioManager, but it looked kinda like crap. Thanks.

You Tube and Real Player

Evenin
Initially when i clicked a you tube video within IE or Opera 9.5 the video used to open in a seprate player that came pre-installed with WM6.1 if i am correct i think it was HTC's own but i may be wrong. Anyway since i installed real player clicking a link in IE dose nothing and in Opera real player opens and throws up some unable to connect error.
Why has what appears to be the default program for playing you tube clips be replaced with real player
Uninstalling real player makes no difference either.
any help really appreciated
Cheers
Andy
I have been looking in the registry and have no idea what I am looking for, and don't want to make it any worse than it already is
guess I am just going to have to flash the rom again and do without realplayer
You could use a program like SkTools to edit file type associations. I think Dinarsoft's MemMaid also allows you to customize file type associations.
Also why don't you install the Youtube Player app? Makes watching youtube videos much easier then browsing for them in Pocket IE or another browser and having them load up in a video streaming app. Its all done within the app so you dont have to worry about realplayer or another app hijacking your file associations.
Ahhh thanks very much, i was not aware such a program existed
appreciate the reply mate

[Q] how to view this online simulator

How do I see the simulation on the link on my Samsung galaxy note http://vam.anest.ufl.edu/simulations/bpposition.html
I can view the simulation on my laptop but not on my note. I can play flash files but not this simulation. I tried downloading swf player but makes no difference. What player or browser do I need to download to see such simulationa on my note.
Any pointers is much appreciated. Even better if I can download and play such simulations on my note.
the simulation file you are looking for is
http://vam.anest.ufl.edu/simulations/bpposition.dcr
it's a shockwave file that plays with shockwave player from macromedia or adobe now. I don't think any current android browser or even app support the ability to play that type file. And upto my knowledge there is no way to convert it to swf even they are all from macromedia. so ya... you kinda out of luck here wit this as of right now.
solution... maybe remote desktop to your computer to play it lol..... but that's ghetto XD
Loads of simulations online and on powerpoint slides are made with shock wave, so I can't play it with my phone presently.hope some player plus browser can do that soon.
Thanks and have a nice day
