Not sure what they're called but I know they have a name. I'm talking about the two hard keys on the keyboard that also activate the softkeys on the screen. When I am sending a SMS I always accidently hit the send hard key. Is there a reg edit to disable the hardkey? I would like to keep the softkey though.
Thanks
Nobody knows?

First of all, I think you mean the "Send" softkey. Second, what's wrong with text being sent after you hit the "Send" button. Isn't that the purpose? Or are you saying that you hit the "Send" button accidentally and want to disable it now? I guess I am not understanding your question.

bumping this thread.. anyone got any fixes?
When click on a calendar appointment...
The left softkey says reply and is faded out. And the right softkey says menu.
Having reply is silly in an appointment and not to mention the key is blocked from being used.
Is there any way to make this key an edit key like it used to be in WM5?
Thanks for your help.
Sorry to bump this. There has to be a simple solution.
Any of our registry guru's, do you know where I can fix this.
Anyone who uses their calendar often must be having an issue with this.
does anyone know how to change the left soft key within an appointment from "reply" to "edit?" why would you need to reply to an appointment???
Yes i would like to know this to!

Isn't not true that you can map the keys using Advanced Configuration Tool?
Well, but i aint sure if you can do so "within" an application, instead of on the home screen though.
Try SSmaHO

Hey guys,
Wondering if anyone can help me with a question. I want to remap the search soft key on my Nexus (the one that looks like a magnifying glass) so that when I press it, it opens Google Gestures. Does anyone know of a way or a program that I can do this with?
Thanks,
Ray

The multitasking app TaskOs does this for a long-press of the search key.
All that you need to is make it the default for a long-press of the search key. The factory default is Voice Search.
Hi, I knew there were some keyboard remap out there but I want to do these:
1. remap the X panel key to Start key
2. remap the Sym key to Ctrl key
Please let me know if it is possible and how. Thanks!
By the way, I will prefer to know how to modify the register value and do it by myself because the cab/exe I used before crashed my system.

for Q number 1:
Yeah there's is.
But it's according to your ROM actually if what Version of panel Manager is installed. According to my ROM,
HKLM ->Software -> SonyEricsson ->Panel manager -> edit the string of: ApplicationName
For Q number 2:
no idea, I figure the question is asked before. You should try google.
Hope it's helpful

I'm sorry I don't know if you want to do so.
I'm not sure what, but it should be there a short code (special code for WM) but I kinda forget. I've searched google but it's not even fire up.

I searched too. Google works like a ***** sometimes.
Looks like they use "Quickmenu" application to assign the panel button.
No I forgot that I'm using WisBar. In Wisbar there's an option to assign the startup button to an app.
