has anyone gotten mobile justice to work on kaiser (tilt)? - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

If so, how?
Thanks!
Alan

My friends are running this program on their TyTN II. I have just installed it myself but have not tested it yet. The ReadMe file is not giving to much of info however check this for configuration and setting up: http://sourceforge.net/project/screenshots.php?group_id=180654&ssid=68079

No problem at all.
- Install the cab.
- Open MJ config.
- Input your sim as "Approved" or what ever they call it.
- Input the pfone number/numbers to send the SMS when an unauthorized SIM is inserted.
- Insert the code you vant to use. Lets say "1111"
- Save
Before you delete the MJ config application, test the functionality.
To test send an SMS to your phone with the text "1111 +g". The phone should now replay with its GPS position as soon as it gets a fix...
Edit: And you do have to restart your device after configuring MJ to start the services...

Those work, but the REPORT service does not work. I traded sim cards with my GF to see if it would send a txt to any other phone upon sim change. Negative. It did not send a text. That feature is most important I believe. Has anyone gotten it to work?
-Josh

Remote Tracker
http://remotetracker.sourceforge.net/
can do much the same thing, also can use the kaiser GPS, which i'm not sure how to configure yet and havent gotten a fix but i did insert my brothers SIM and stole his information :-D it's got interesting options.

looking for way to dial # on calling card

hey,
looking for a way to be able to dial a number off my contacts when using a calling card. ie, when i call the calling card, it tells me to enter the number i wish to call, so instead of having to hand dial it in there, is there a way i can just go to contacts and insert that number? seems silly that i have to write that number on a piece of paper and then hand dial it. thanks
omar
Insert a "w" into the number to have the phone stop and wait for you to press send to enter anything that follows. Insert a "p" to have the phone pause for 2 seconds and then chug along. So for your contact:
(Calling Card Co. Phone #)w(CC Access Number/PIN)#p(Contact Phone Number)#
would dial the calling card, wait until you pressed send, enter your access code/pin for the calling card followed by a pound sign, pause two seconds (so the system can do its thing), and then dial the contact number followed by a pound.
You'll obviously need to customize to match the way your particular CC works.
Is it a silly question to ask why you are using a calling card on a cellphone? Are there any plans left that don't include long distance?
I'll make my guess in two words - "International calls."
Either that or he's trying to hide those 1-900/976 calls from his gf/wife.
$2.99/min doesn't last long...
haha na guys, i'm calling international. much cheaper to use calling cards than to dial straight. i'm still at school, and i tried what you said, didnt seem to work, but i'll try it again once i get home. btw, its the type of calling card where my number is saved with them, so i call the card, and it automatically asks me for the number i wish to dial thanks
omar
Well the same dialing suggestions apply. Whatever you dial on your phone manually needs to be inputted using a 'w' for anything entered manually or a 'p' for a pause, which sounds like what you need. You can put multiple 'p''s for longer pauses like: 1234567890ppp12345 which would give you roughly a 6 second pause.
You can also try inserting commas, e.g:
18007777777,,,0119991234567
But I don't think you can tap a contact phone number and have it inserted mid-dialing stream. If the numbers you are calling will always use the calling card I would just save the calling card sequence as part of each of their numbers.
My personal recommendation is to use SunnySoft calling card and, if you are in the US calling internationally, GorillaMobile.
I'm originally from the UK and call the UK a LOT on my cellphone.
This combination makes it totally painless, just have the international contacts in the phone book as a regular contact (preceded by +44 in my case) adn just press dial. All completely seemless and Waaaaayyyy cheapper than AT&T (even reduced rate) International calling.
Just my 2c
This program could help solve the problem for you.
You can store you calling card and pin with this. Then, you can use contacts and select any phone number and you will see a "Call with calling card" on it.
I use this extensively.
Hope this helps

Very cool. Thanks so much for the binaries.
I think the source can be found here:
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb158783.aspx if anyone needs to tweak it. I went ahead and installed the signature (pulled a copy off the CAB in PK7 format), but I don't think it's required.
I've wrestled with it for a few days before I found a post claiming contention with the WM version of Google Maps. Sure enough, after uninstalling GMaps and and uninstalling and ReInstalling the callingCard cab, all worked well. I can live without GMaps.
Contrary to the doc, you can place symbols along with letters in your pin. Since I have to enter two pins with my card mine looks something like:
12223334567#pp1234#
That enters the first PIN (Account number) # then two pauses. Then it enters the second PIN (PIN) and #. I think reboots are required between regedits for this to work properly.
-Dan
Hello,
Thank you autosoori and Dan. I've added a very quick and dirty configuration GUI to it (its been a while since I've done any C++ programming to decided to use C# instead - apologies for the rubbishness on my part, but you will require .NET CF). The GUI is launched from the context menu in the Contacts list. Context sensitive help is provided within the app. Changed DLL so that device reboot is NOT required when registry changes are made.
I've only tested it on my Trinity running AX3L's WM6 ROM. Plan on adding support for multiple CC vendors (wife uses several calling card companies depending on destination). Apologies for the lack of clipboard support on edit controls.
Two files:
CallingCard.dll
CallingCardEdit.exe
I've wrapped them in a cab file. Alternatively, copy the two .exe's from zip to the original CallingCard's install dir; add a regstring in HLCU\Software\Microsoft\CallingCard called "ConfigApp" with the value being the full path to CallingCardEdit.exe; restart device.
Cheers
it works fine at my SX66 WM6, but only works with contact Menu than any other GUI .
hope for more functions

Hi,
My previous username was a bit non-random (for obvious reasons!), so I've changed it. Anyway, tell me what changes you want and I'll see if I can fit them in. If anyone wants the source, I can mail it to them.

I installed it and it's works fine, but today stopped work... the link appears, but I can't call with it. I tried to install it again... the same...
any idea?!
Here is a big problem I have with this CAB when used with GoogleMaps. If I install CallingCard AFTER GoogleMaps ... no Context menu for CallingCard appears in Contacts.
If I install CallingCard BEFORE GoogleMaps ... both GM and CC context menu appear, but when I select something like "Call work using calling card" it tries to use GoogleMaps instead
GREAT Application / New Features
GREAT JOB!!!
Thanks a lot !
works very well !
is there a way to use it with the call shortcuts for fast dialing ("numérotation rapide" in french) ?
it would be a very very very nice feature !!!
other options (less important, but pretty nice) :
1. ability to dial # after the "dial number"
2. in settings : ability to choose "0 secs" on each menu (pre-pin pause and pre-dial Pause)
Thanks in advance

GREAT Application / New Features
I havent reviewed this app for a long time - apologies. I've moved calling card provider to one that gives me a local number for each of my international contacts - nice!
Anyway, if someone desperately needs some work on it, I will try to fit it in - let me know.
Phil82de: I noticed the problem with Google Maps. I will try to look into it.
samerweb: Again, I'll see what I can fit it. What exactly do you mean by call shortcuts? If you mean phone Quickdials, then you could save the number that is actually dialled directly as a contact. Can you clarify.
Thanks.

WM SMS Client for VOIPBuster!

Hi all
I've created an application with which you can send SMS using the VOIP Provider VOIPBuster.com!
They offer free SMS sending for lots of countries!
It's the first beta.
You can download it here:
www.ruttensoft.com/files/WMSMSClientVOIPBuster.zip
It has no CAB yet, so just copy the exe-file to your device and start it.
Then go to Settings and enter:
Username (VOIPBuster Username)
Password (VOIPBuster password)
Phone Numbe (Registered with VOIPBuster)
Your contries Dial Code (e.g. +41 for switzerland)
The application will load all your contacts from your mobile database!
After setting the settings, chose a contact and write a message (maximum of 159 letters) and click on send (make sure you have internet coverage)
NOTE: For an unknown reason, Sometimes VOIPBuster gives back an error message, even though the message was sent!
Currently it is made for Smartphone Devices and I've implemented Portrait and Square support (e.g. s730)
Post your comments here!
Thanks
Sven

wohoooooo thanks so much for realizing my request. i will try it soon
EDIT:
i was trying to send an SMS while my phone was connected to my computer using the USB cable. it didnt work!!! but now i disconnected the cable and sent the SMS via GPRS/3G. the sms arrived!!!! and it works
HOWEVER;
after SENDING the SMS i also get the error message that the message was not sent or something.
hope you can fix that problem soon, as it is important to know whether the SMS arrives or not..
thanks a lot for your effort!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Actually if there is only a simple error, it has always been sent on my device. If there is really a problem, you will get an exact error message (no balance, number false....)
I dont know why this is, I get that "Error" back from the VOIP Server so I cant fix it I'm afraid.
But yeah... I have never gotten this error and it was not sent... so you can test it a bit and if has always been sent while this simple error appears, I will deactivate it...
For USB: It's working here... Does your internet connection work while beeing connect on usb?
yes internet available while on USB. but it doesnt matter really.. at least it works though 3G etc.
you might want to disable the error message... its very annoying and loads for ages before it comes.
the GSM VOIPBUSTER Client shows THE SAME error... thats remarkable. implies the error is from the voipbuster server.
Ok I will disable it
awesome, thanks!
hey wat kind of connection does it use to send the sms, dont have a data plan so will simple wifi connection due? dont want to get a bill of charges afterwards . thanks again we all needed something like this. should port this to the smartphone general forum as it'll help everyone . good job
i'm getting an unexpected error when i enter settings, happening to anyone else?
makaveli86, do you have the Wings?
When do you get the error, by clicking on "save"?
It takes the same connection as the Internet Explorer would do.
So if connected to WLAN it should take WLAN...
If the device you've sent the SMS to is not "on", so could not directly get the SMS (but will later if it is turned on), the VOIPBuster server is also giving back the "Error"
SO I will just deactivate that... If there is really an error, it will show the correct error
oh you created it specifically for the wings? thought it was a smartphone app in general, i have the vox was hoping it would work on any smartphone...is there anyway you could find a way to do that because i know a lot of people who were looking forward to this.
Of course... it should also run on all other devices.
But I had no time yet to test it on other devices, mainly on pocketpc I will have to test some more
ohh ok..well i'm having troubles getting into the settings menu (currently running it on a s710 htc vox) so maybe if someone else that has the vox as well can confirm this for me? or if you dumdium get the chance to run some tests and see wahts up? i'll be glad to help if you need it
anything???
i had some problems too at first
then restarted and then it was ok
it kept saying the login details were wrong or something. now it works
restartd

ya just retried it, still same thign. did a few reboots nothing.
bagatov, you using the s730? how responsive do you find that phone? are you satisfied of its performance?
hey
i use s730 and i love it. but the ram could be bigger. sometimes when i read RSS news with spb insight, listen to music with TCPMP and surf the web with OPERA stuff gets closed due to lack of ram. thats very stupid. but im sure an update will fix it. it also could be faster, but i hope htc will release the drivers to unleash the full potential of the 400 mhz

If you forgot you phone - Text it and automatic lock it [This really Works!]

Does any one know of a program that will do the following...........
-If you leave your phone somewhere and the phone is not locked or you just forgot to lock it.......You can call a certain number to lock the phone for you.
-it might sound dumb, but that would be a neat program
Update:
This program really works......... Thanks to hbatra!
Sprite Terminator

Don't know about any free software for it though...
you can power-off with "eye on thief" app
by sending sms with command
or u can command to run "eye on privacy" app,
which could lock yr phone
http://www.mycnknow.com/LockAppen.htm
Thank You I will try these and let you know how they work
yeah
yeah let all know brotha!, i cant wait
Take a look at SpriteTerminator (http://www.spritesoftware.com/?page_id=280).
Not freeware - but not only does it allow you to lock your phone, it also allows you to track it, erase the contents, disallow the changing of the SIM etc. etc.

Thanks again hbatra
all the nokia E-Series come with this functionality built in.
it definitely is a cool option for when you lose your phone.

this "eye on thief" doing the same. I thought it'll be obvious from name..
I am running it on my phone as for protection.
What's specially cool about this one, is that it's just 1 exe, no install, very tiny and simple. u can burn it in ROM. This way it's hard to notice and disable by thief.
Also it's free with sort of limitations, but still usable.
in help you'll find list of comands. I just tried poweroff and reset.
poweroff switched only to stand-by but reset worked OK. on wm6.1
and no incomming sms showed up.
eeh, be carefull by testing.. I forgot about having it and after inserting new prepaid SIM, I find out my credit's gone with no sign of SMSs being send out.
ok, but as this thread is about forgotten phone, besides reset and not working power off, there are commands to forward calls and SMSs so maybe this is what you've been after? if you'll give it a try, let us know if it coculd be used this way.

I tried that one, and followed the commands but could not get it to work. Maybe you have to have a certain model (phone) for it to work. I have the ATT Tilt and I could install it but the commands would not work. But I did try it, and yes it is a very small app.

sms has to be it format: passreset
where pass is your remote password
and have you set up both password, added your sim and turned autorun on?
I love throttlelock it automatically locks the phone when it goes to sleep so no need to worry about if you locked it or not and to unlock the phone you simply slide your finger over a preset pattern. Very simple but very effective.

Yes I tried that as well, I even downloaded the pdf file with the step by step instuctions and it just does not work. That is why I said maybe it is the type of phone that I have, because the Sprite Termintor works perfect and they both use the sms commands to shut off, lock or what ever you what to do.
What type of phone you have.
i've got tytnII, T-mobile device but ROM by orange UK.
this app was working perfect on all my prev phones. trinity, rwo artemis. another tytn II unbranded. and different ROMs.
no idea then..
It beeps after every phone start, signaling that it's running ok.
I have it in windows folder, link in StartUp was created automatically with -startup parameter - "\windows\lockapppen.exe" -startup
I just set both passwords (used the same)
have check-on on first 4 boxes
have added my two SIMs
added both 2 numbers in SMS list.. ..maybe this could be problem. maybe it only accepts requests from numbers on SMS list. but that would not be too practical.
after sending sms with "passreset" (say "pass" is my password) it didn't show this message and replied back that command was processed.
was running this on wm6 and 6.1 too. no more ideas, sorry

Which Anti theft programme?

Can you guys recommend a theft alert style prog for the X1.

If someone steals my phone, the first thing he would do is to switch it off and exchange the sim card. So how should I send a SMS to the phone to wake up the program when my SIM-card with my phone number isn't in the phone anymore?
Such a Anti-Theft-Program need to send the location to a predefined Mail-Account when the SIM-Card has been changed. The program has to recognize that the SIM isn't the same and then start itself on Windows startup as soon as possible so that it cannot be closed before it can send the mail.
Anything else makes such a program useless in my opinion.

Notify on sim change... It's in the settings.
This means your phone with the new simcard will send a sms or email to a predefined number (not your own number but maybe your brothers phone or someone else you can trust) as soon as it detects a new sim inserted. voila and you have the thiefs phonenumber.
I have tested the feature and it works very well...

You do that. I think you'll like it.
I'm using MASPware GuardMobile, works fine and a lot of options. Smart proctect seems very good to me too, and it's free. Maybe I'll give it a try after a hard reset
i am searching a antitheft program, that is invisible implemented/implementable
into the ROM (completely configured).
for hardreset resistance. a spezial version of hardspl could be a good way.
so the theft protection is resistand for firmwareupdates by the theft.
hardspl once installed, could give out a unique secret key.
without this key no hardspl remove/update is possible. and the protection is not easy removable.hardspl handles all flash requests and without key....
only with commands to read/write directly to FLASH, the last chance to remove it.
and thats not easy for NOOB´s

1. you must have a working email account installed into the xperia.
This account (marked with a red box) will be used for sending the stealth-mail to your destination account.
2. The destination account should not be installed on the phone as the thief would also get the stealth-mail.
3. Setup your options in the settings view (see attached pictures)
4. press Send now in the menu if you want to tryout your settings.
It's recommended to have satellite sync while testing this.
5. Save changes and exit the application.
I'm having some trouble with smartphone tracker on my X1. When I send an sms containing my passphrase the X1 phone displays the text as a new unread message. Also the phone doesn't send any mail to my configured receiver. And yes, I've chosen a working mail account, it works when pressing "send now..." from within smartphone tracker.
Also the incoming text message displays as a new unread message, it's not suppose to do that right?
I get the feeling that Smartphone tracker doesn't catch incoming text messages. What's your experiences?

FDN
it's a sim service that alow you to make a list of the number that you want the phone to be able to call.
ie: you buy a phone for your kid and you want him to be able to call only you and his mom, well enter both number in the FDN, though you'll have to protect it entering your pin otherwise anyone would be able to add any number. on mine it is not greyed out, i am using xtreme 6MJ. but it might be dependent of the sim, some may not offer this service
cheers
