Greets,
I am running stock AT&T (updated) ROM on my Tilt, and for the very first time, very odd behavior is occurring on the appointments.
Part of the appointments include a bunch of people's birthdays (which recur), and some are alternate weekly doctor's appointments which are always placed on saturday.
Yesterday would have been such a birthday (which I was told yesterday) and tomorrow is the doctor.
HOWEVER, today both have shown up as being for today (with the birthday having an arrow next to it, which i must assume means it was moved by the tilt to today).
Any ideas?

Not sure if this is a Diamond issue - but hopefully someone can help. I sync with Outlook 2003 and this has always worked fine with my Palm Treo 750 (WM5.1). I now have my Diamond Touch (WM 6.1) which also works fine except - "All day events" in my outlook calendar show up one day early in my diamond calendar. All other appointments show correctly - just all day or multi-day are wrong. The same events show on the correct day on the Treo.
This also applies to the standard Microsoft calendar days in Outlook, e.g. St Patricks Day is the 17th March on Outlook and Treo but 16th on Diamond. However my dental appointment on the 17th from 1200 to 1230 shows correctly everywhere.
Any ideas???
same here
all day events revert into two days event. starting the day before
the same
Actually this is a common problem, i have it too, and i am trying to find a solution, but no luck so far, i understand it occurs when synchronizing with outlook, and it's an outlook issue not windows mobile
are the timezone on your computer and diamond exactly the same?
Hi Guys,
I updated to FroYo on my N1 and everything is working perfectly except for my exchange calendar. It is showing all my appointments a day early.
All my emails etc are correct time. My phone shows correct time. All the appointments from google account show on correct day.
Does anyone else have this problem?
Bumping. Hmmm either no one has the problem or no here is using exchange on FroYo?

Calendar sync is working perfectly for me - Happy Camper over here!

I'm experiencing the same problem but only for "All Day" events.
I've got the same issue for all-day events... Something occurring on say the 25th of May would be shown as both 24th & 25th. Hopefully they'll release the source code soon and we can fix it!

check time zones and daylight savings on both the computer and the phone, I've seen that happen in the corporate world when an all day event is entered in eastern and someone looking at it from central time zone sees it over 2 days
Same problem here only with "All Day Events" - they appear one day earlier. It is possible that since my exchange server is in the UK and I work in China - the 7 hour time difference may be the factor - possible, but I doubt it since others are experiencing similar problems. When I open these events on my phone, they show that they span over midnight.
All Day Events created on the phone appear just fine - both on Outlook and the Phone.

I had the same problem.
It was a time-zone problem.
Thus my clock was indicating the right hour, somewhere in settings my time-zone was incorrect.
I changed it and in a second, everything came back to normal schedule.
Hope this helps.

My outlook client and phone are on the same timezone. If I create an all day event on the phone, it shows properly both on the phone and outlook client. If I create an all day event via outlook, it shows properly on outlook, but on the phone it is behind by 1 day. It very well may be a timezone or setting issue - but I can't find any options to put it right. Suggestions? I have checked the settings via Outlook Web Access and those are also set same as my outlook client.
My work around now is to not set all day events, but rather set their time - at least now I can see the event on the day it was intended.
I added some screenshots to clarify. I created an all day event via Outlook Web Access (my notebook is at the office) - Vacation set for 3 JUN (all day). When my phone syncs, it appears as an all day even on 2 JUN. It does not appear to matter if my OWA timezone settings are set for GMT or +8 HRS like here in China.
What are your reminders set to? I don't use them on my all day events, and set them all up using my exchange email account on my work computer (when I get my schedule, I add it in right away... also always adding in other things, such as testing/training reminders, client call backs, etc.)

Thanks... that was my first thought as well, but looking at the activesync data sent, the server is using the correct timezone:
I.e. I'm currently BST (GMT+1), and I've added an all day event for the 2nd:
Code:
<POOMCAL:Subject>
Testing
</POOMCAL:Subject>
<POOMCAL:StartTime>
20100601T230000Z
</POOMCAL:StartTime>
<POOMCAL:EndTime>
20100602T230000Z
</POOMCAL:EndTime>
<POOMCAL:AllDayEvent>
1
</POOMCAL:AllDayEvent>
But the phone shows that as being for the 1st in the agenda view, and if you click on the appointment, it says Monday, 31 May (!!!) - Tuesday, 1 June. I can't begin to think how it's getting that from the above activesync transmission... :-s
Just checked my original report to Google and that's now been updated in an encouraging way:
http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=8529
When I open calender and switch to month view, I try to select a future date for which I have nothing scheduled and instead of going to the day I selected, it goes to the last day have something scheduled. Does that make sense? Anyone else find this annoying ?
Yep - happens here also
I work night shifts and want to figure out how to get the times to show up on the lock screen instead of Wednesday - Thursday as I don't work the same times everytime.... :/
Doesn't happen to me - when i press future date from month view calendar, it goes to the future day i selected.
Calendar option: Windows live is ON
phone name and model: HTC HD7 T9292
OS Version: 7.07004.0
FW Rev#: 2250.09.12302.728
Same as BlueGreenWhite, doesn't happen on mine. When i select a future date from Month view, it opens up that date.
It depends whether you are in a day or agenda view (before accessing the month view). If you are in a day view it'll go to the selected day, if you are in agenda view it'll go to the next day with appointment which makes sense as days without appointments aren't displayed in agenda view.
There you go, Mystery solved
Thanks, makes complete sense
Calendar working good.
I sync with Gmail Contact and Calendar. Everything works fine except that the Birthdays recorded into Contact cannot be show/sync on HD7 calendar.
Thanks for the tip, it does now make sense!
Another problem I have just found, after one month has passed calendar appointments disappear from handset calendar (not reoccuring ones) but remain OK on Windows Live Calendar on PC/in Outlook. This is a problem for me as I like to keep all my past appointments with me on the handset.
Does anyone else have the same problem?

I wouldn't call that a problem. Why is it so important to have past appt's on your calendar?
Past appointments are important to keep on the handset as sometimes I need to refer back to certain dates in meetings.
Past Calendar is IMPORTANT

Yes. Agreed. Past calendar is very important when you need to trace back your appointment.
I do have the same problem, I think something wrong with the Sync . . .
Under Windows Live (Primary), the setting only allow to check/uncheck the Mail.
Under Gmail, the setting allow to check/uncheck the Mail, Contact & Calendar.
Sometimes can sync and sometimes can't. Waiting for the FIX from Microsoft.
Yes, I am hoping this will be fixed by Microsoft in the next update. Will be most dissappointed if it is not.
On a recent trip, with the autoupdate time on, the phone time changes correctly to the current time zone. However, every calendar appointment changes by the offset from the original time zone time to the local time. For appointments, reservations etc. this requires you to remember the timezone and time of the appointment as opposed to what the calendar shows (i.e., meeting at 3 p.m. which is now showing as 4 p.m. since you moved from CST to EST). Samsung confirmed that this is the case and had no workaround. I see this with other Samsung phones going back to 2008. It looks like you can either have accurate time or a hosed calendar. Is there a fix other than using some other calendar or synching to to some other calendar?
Have you tried creating the events on your google account, instead of the phone's "My Calendar"?
Thanx but no, I am looking to use the phone and its calendar only.
I've searched the forums around for a mention of this bug, but I couldn't find anything specific to it. I found numerous Calendar bugs and Calendar Replacements, but nothing this specific, and I kind of like the Samsung Calendar, so here it goes.
I have a regular International Galaxy S. When syncing calendars from Google, if you have a Calendar that has an event that happens every year, but started longer than 50 years ago (for instance, Christmas, New Year, some holidays), that event won't show up in the Samsung Calendar app.
If I change one year, it shows. For instance, if I create a repeatable event on 1961, it will show when the phone syncs up. If I create a repeatable event on 1960 or prior to that, that and the subsequent instances of that event won't show up on the calendar.
Is that a known issue? I can't find any sort of options to enhance the amount of years the calendar syncs from Google. That's kinda annoying.
Thanks for the help.
just wondering, why the hell would you want to create a 50 year old event? just start from a few years ago.

This lol. You're hardly going to be looking back that long ago. It happens the same time every year too so there's no real need, is there?
That's besides the point. if I didn't have a use for it, I obviously wouldn't care about it.
For instance, I have a Formula One calendar that has Ayrton Senna's birthday as a event. He was born on 1960, so the event was created on 1960 and it's repeatable every year. It doesn't show up on Samsung's Calendar, since it happened more than 50 years ago, even tho it's repeatable every year.
I also have a Local Holidays and Commemorative Dates (not the one provided by Google) with descriptions and starting dates. The start date of that event (when the holiday or commemorative date was created) is the first instance of that event, and it repeats every year. It also doesn't show up.
still there with 2.3.5
Same problem here with 2.3.5 JVS.
All calendar entries with start date longer ago than 50 years are not synced or at least not displayed. Seems to be an known but not yet solved bug that is limited to Samsung or even i9000 ( see google homepage, support/forum/p/Google+Mobile/thread?tid=389f1b50b42f7901&hl=en ).
Would be perfekt if anybody had a solution. I sync my Outlook via MyPhoneExplorer and without Google calendar. I don't want to use google, scince there are business dates that are not allowed to be spread.
Yes, and I'd like to add that there is memory error in SGS calendar app Event uses too much memory, causing FC of calendar, and I only want to set up the anniversary of the planet Earth formation 4.000.000.000 years ago from the space dust
any help, please?
