Is it possible to skin the AT&T WM6 ppc phone to look and behave like the Apple IPhone?

Please, I wish you all would STFU with that elitist asshole garbage man. The iPhone interface IS slick and DOES look good. Sometimes people don't want to deal with the WM interface, it isn't pretty. It isn't slick. Period.

Back on topic: Sorry about just adding to the clutter of your thread man, best advice I can give you is to just search around. I haven't tried any iPhone skins, but I do want to try it just to see how it works out.

well said noyz. the chap came on here looking for an answer (which, admittedly if he had searched a little he would have found) and everyone jumps at the occasion to spout loads of 'LOLZ IPHONE IS **** LOLZ' rubbish. people can skin their wm phones however they want - and im sure some people want it to look like an iphone, whilst retaining the kaisers excellent features. i personally dont, but i do use s2u, which i find is an excellent app.
my advice is to search here, and also - if you find theres a bit too much - give youtube a try - most of the 'wm6 iphone' style videos will list somewhere how they've done it, or at least what programs were used - and you'll get a good idea of what sort of stuff you want and dont.

Because its all about choices in life, He bought performance, how on earth can it behave like a iphone with WM, different touchscreen, different hardware etc. I think the interface of the iphone is beatifull, but it performs like nothing.
He decided performace, so he should accept that its not possible to make it a iphone, if he wants, sell the HTC and buy a iphone.

Why does everyone get mad when people suggest to sell the phone to get the iphone? If you want the iPhone UI and feel get an iPhone, plain and simple.

its obviously he doesnt want to magically turn it into an iphone! he just wants it to have a similar ui and look to it. hence the 'how can i skin my phone to look like an iphone'
my point about the 'sell the phone and buy an iphone' comment was that it wasnt constructive help in anyway. its like telling him he should have crapped in a toilet if he had announced that he crapped his pants, so to speak. it doesnt help at all.
what if you want the look and layout of an iphone but you want a wm device and all the features kaiser has? your way of thinking suggests your answer would be to buy nothing and wait, when an appropriate compromise can be made.

Yes, because itæs simply not possible to add an iphone UI to a WM6 device, I will not say het should sell his HTC and iphone, thats a little bit short thinking.
BUT, the poster should keep in mind that he does not have a iphone it is or-or, not both, a iphone iu will never be near realistic since the hardware is so different..

i agree, and it would be very naive to believe that a wm6 device could have an exact iphone ui, but for the sake of arguing - what can be done (taking into account differences in hardware) its not a million miles off.
without making too many assumptions, i would imagine the majority of those that use an iphone style ui on their wm6 device do so purely for aesthetic reasons.

Hello Tvos,
If you're not interested in the WinMo interface and wont something that feels like an iPhone, you may want to test out an application called Point UI. It is not an iPhone interface but it does similarities like a sliding interface.

Easy people, I know that HTC kick ass, specially iPhone ass. But I just saw the application a I think it's cool, yeah totally stupid and useless but cool. And just wondering if someone can make something like this.

I saw this tread a few days ago and didnt expect these kind of reponses.. YES, its completly useless and YES, it came out on Ibone first, but does that alone make it crap? Personally, i think that its great that Ibone can get noobs excited about touchphone despite the fact that it is completly overpriced and made to much into a '' hype''. Finally i want to say this: Problably for most of us this is not our first touch phone (and problably not the last), i started with the Qtek s100 and what i partially loved about it was the fact that we could have almost unlimited apps and tweaks/mods so despite how useless of a app it may seem i still would like something useless as this as well, and NO i dont want a Ibone.

Very intelligent reply to a honest question. We should all definitely change our opinions of what we think a cool app is based on your very intellectually worded opinion. I'm sure you don't spend your money on something that others might consider stupid right? Is it not ok for someone else to spend their money on what they want and have a different opinion....or should everyone feel how you feel and be a mindless clone?

I want this app
I work for a cell phone retailer and would love to have this active when my customers ask to see my phone since our demo's are zipped tied to our display. I would love to see their reaction when they touch my screen and this happens. Im all for it.

its a fun prank to play on some one who owns a iphone, but.....
you have to figure out how to sneek the phone away from them
know how to install a program on the iphone
and finally be ready to record their reaction if there is one at all
but on the same note this app is useless. Fun as a prank to play on your buddies who cherish their phone. But just like me I never let my phone out of my sight. with that said I find it useless to request "ports" because why waste time porting an app when you could spend valuable time making a emulator that will run an iphone os, android for example.

I wish a dev would put out a game like the Done Drinking game on the iphone. You have to use the accelrometer on the iphone to balancing this drunk guy through an alley after drinking all night!!

Actually, I agree with Mast3rmatt here. I don't know about you, but I bought my G1 specifically because it ISN'T an iPhone. The iPhone isn't the be-all and end-all of all phones!
The G1 does far more for me than an iPhone ever could. If all the apps you like aren't available for the G1, why did you buy it in the first place?

He didn't say he wanted the G1 to do everything the iPhone does, he just likes one app from it and was hoping someone would copy it to the G1, there is also doom for the G1, Doom started life as a PC game does that mean those playing doom on a G1 wanted a PC instead?

Ok maybe I should of said that I would like to have this app on the G1. I have no interest in the iphone at all. the G1 does all that I need and some. If I were able to make apps I would but I dont know how, so this is why Im requesting a dev make this app available for the G1. As for those who have nothing better to do but to leave stupid comments about someones request...i suggest you go do your homework before your parents take away your computer privlages.

I used an iphone 3gs and windows phone. but i have purchased a G1 to start trying out android phones> lets hope i like it then i may go for good phones

I've owned both and stopped using the iphone after a month, got bored of the limitations...even when jailbroken.
IMO if you're looking at the new iPhone then it may be worth seeing what WP7 turns out to be like or even if you can get on with one of the KIN devices but personally I stuck with WinMo because of its 'geeky' features which are seriously lacking on the iPhone and possibly in WP7 too.

I've used iphone and winmo and android and blackberry (I'm a phone whore what can I say)
but I personally found the iphone to be very restricting for a few reasons at the time
1. it was a devil to just forward an sms
2. silent rocker broke, led to a lot of frustration. with windows mobile even if my volume was broken, I could easily tap on top of my screen and maximize my volume
3. Gaming is good on the iphone and zenonia was my favorite game on the iphone. Windows got it and it became my de facto game
I mean its your call. I never enjoyed the iphone save from zenonia, facebook, and the keyboard. But for all its worth, it works. Just, customizing is crap, if you need to get work done, look elsewhere.

Well. I'd personally wait 'till it's out and see what all the competition is and whats coming shortly. I bought an iPhone 3gs on impulse back when I had my xperia working nicely and after a few months of use I switched right back to my xperia and sold it. With all the rumors floating around the iphone HD or whatever name they go for, it looks like a solid device, but wp7 could turn into something great, and androids development seems to be the most active now.

You should buy the new iphone just to throw at Steve Jobs's face and leave the mark of the apple logo on his forehead..

I have to say the iPod Nano in my opinion is a step backward, Multi-touch on a screen that size with my thumbs isn't gunna work so well

It so funny how Steve Jobs stated that people loved buttons on previous iPod shuffle, so Apple brought them back. Few minutes later he announced iPod nano without buttons but with small, nearly unusable touch screen. Plus they also remove camera and somewhat good display.
Apple finally did it. They made iWatch with iPod functionally

LG actually made one of these things. A phone watch which allows you to listen to music. Whether you like it or not is up to personal taste. But it's definitely super geeky...
