error 260

hi
this is my fisrt post in here.
i am a lerner in this field, so i might need to be directed steb by step.
i am trying to upgrade the ROM of my xda mini s O2, with the original new version of rom, and it should be quite easy to do, but everytime i triy i keep getting this #ç@!^=ç@@àà error 260.
as the manual says i tryed to restart and try again with the upgrading, but it doesen't work.
any suggestion?

When you reboot your phone, what does it show for IPL and SPL currently? Have you rebooted your PC to see if that clears the problem? Try pulling out your SD card if you have one in the phone. Have you tried to do this from a different PC? You may want to find a copy of the wizard love rom and flash that to see if it does the same thing...

Error 302...

Can someone tell me what Error 302 is when flashing? Trying to help someone, but the WIKI doesnt have a list of errors for the wizard...

Error 302: Update error.
It seems to happen to people flashing button_rom. Just today I've updated my howto at G3.6 with the following:
NOTE: Some people seem to have problem with flashing the button rom in this step (stops at 98% with error 302). Replace button_rom with Xda_MiniS_LaunchROM_v154102 and follow the rest of the steps normally when this happens!

Today i tried to install XDA Mobile 6 r2a rom, but on 99% i got an 302 error.
I first i installed IPL_SPL__G3-only_3.08, then radio_2.69.11, and then this rom. now I don't know what to do, because I cann't install this rom, i always got the 302 error, and I cann't install my old rom.
Please, tell me, what should i do to make my phone work. THANKS.
ps: i'm afraid that may be my phone was locked. but i don't know that exactly

Did you follow Dr. P's instructions on downgrading and unlocking here?? If not -- you're right -- it's not unlocked, and until you unlock it "by the book", you won't be able to do anything else except run your Carrier's ROM.
All those stickies are there for a reason, and yet 30% of the posts on here sound just like yours. All it takes is a little time to read before you flash!!!

Yes, i've read it. but i have a problem. i cann't install any rom on my device. where can i get any rom, to make my device work???
Or can I unlock my device without installing any operating system on it, and then try to install wm6?

Have you tried the solution in my post above?

Cant install Advanced Config on Dutty v2. HELP

Whenever I try to install advancedconfig it states "Installation of AdvancedConfig_v1.1.CAB was unseccessful. Does anyone know why this is happening or a solution"

it worked fine for me. are you using the latest version of advanced config?

Try to download the cab again (from duttys cabs) and install it to the device not the storage card, hope that helps. I have 1.1 installed on mine and it installed fine.

doesnt work
Tried redownloading and the same thing. The message pops up before it gives you the chance to pick were to store it.
Im also having the same issue on Arcsoft MMS Composer v4.0.31.28.
Both were downloaded from Dutty's FTP server

I know this may sound stupid but have you soft reseted the phone yet and then tried to install it from a fresh boot.

As someone once told me...never underestimate the power of stupidity.

yes I tried the soft reset. I soft reset at least once a day.

any ideas out there???

It should just install but try this, soft reset before you try attempting to install the cab.
Install sdckerts.cab in my cab collections
Soft reset
Install advance config
or try installing both versions of advance config to see if one installs

Hey Dutty,
First off thanks for your hard work on these roms. I tried installing sdckerts.cab and get the same message. Any other suggestions. Im now using your v3 test rom.

My Phone is Similar
It installs it, but doesnt save anything i do, just says "unable to apply changes" i have a focus flash btw

RUU Error 224

I am pretty new at this. I Successfully installed the latest version of Touch-it on my wing. Works great. Now I want to try Open-touch but whenever I run RUU it can't read my device info. Im connected to activesync and I can't figure out why i can't flash again.

Uninstall activesync, and redownload it from the Microslut site.
I had a similiar problem, and that fixed it.

Once you've HardSPL'd ... you don't have to do it again.
Take the RUU_SIGNED.NBH from the open touch download, but use the installation files from the TouchIT installation.
So download both of them. Go to the TouchIT folder, delete the RUU_SIGNED.NBH file, and replace it with the open touch one.

still the same thing is happening. I get to the part where it says "verifying the information on your PDA phone...please wait..." and then i get error 224

What does the error say exactly?

I'm Back
so i successfully installed open touch and i like it. but now when i try to install any .cab file i can't even get it to ask me where i want to install. it just starts the cab, looks like its gunna work for about 1 sec, and then abruptly ends.
any help?

You should direct that at the threads for Open Touch

[Out Dated!] Open Touch v2.4 - T-Mobile Wing!
Discussing Open Touch v2.5
depending on what you installed.

Why can't I flash another Rom?

Could someone tell me, if I have sims & cid unlocked my phone, which is G3. And I have flashed it one other time before, do I need to keep going backwards to the original roms version everytime I want to try a new Rom? I want to try a different rom, it verifys the rom version goes into the boot screen and then stops at error 264 "communication error". What step and I forgetting? Could someone please explain this to me, I sure would appreciate it.

checkout the usb connection properly.....dat may be the reason....try uninstallin n reinstallin the soft...n try again.....

You may also need to make sure of the activesync version you have(at least version 4.5).

I think you're forgetting to completely charge the battery before the flashing process...
