or could it be, that a 2GB card is just to big for this process? friend of mine had a similar problem and he just took a smaller card and voila, everything went just fine

ok got it fixed. the problem was, that the 2gb storage disk was really to much.
all worked fine with a 128mb Sd card.

using ntrw doesnt create a bootable SD ROM image file

When I backed up my Blue Angel ROM info using these commands I was able to create a bootable SD ROM card:
d2s 80000000 02000000“
d2s 60000000 00300000 sd a
d2s 70000000 01080000 sd a
I used the ntrw utility to backup the SD card to my disk:
ntrw read XDAIII.nb1 E:
I then formatted that same SD card as a test and used:
ntrw write XDAIII.nb1 E:
So far so good but now if I bot my BlueAngel using Power+Record+Soft reset there is no prompt to flash from SD.
Any ideas why, is there a trick to using the ntrw utility? I used a 512MB SDIO card, is that too big?
Thanks.
Hi,
Did you solve this problem as I am unable to boot from the SD card.
Thanks
Msuk
No I didn't get a solution for booting an SD created with ntrw .
Sorry.

sd card not working

Hi,
I need some urgent help...
today i got apacer 1gb 60x sd card.
the card does not allow any write function when it is in my pda2k, thru active sync or thru file explorer on my pda2k,
though it works fine in a card reader, can write and delete on the card.
my older 1gb mmc card is wirking fine in the phone.
i also formatted the card using a card reader, even that does not help.
i tried a format utility on ppc, but that can't do anything on the card, it says the card is read only or the access has een denied,
pls help me!!
I have the same problem and I can not fix it.
I think its the quality of the card.
Same problem here.
For future Reference it is a 1GB, Pretec High Speed
my friend bought 2 cards and sent one to me,
his pda is O2 xdaIIs and mine is imate pda2k, both blueangles..
but the card is working on his pda, and not mine..
hardware is supposed to be the same from HTC...
i fail to understand how can this happen.
Possibly the size of the card, 1gb, is the problem?
FWIW, with regards to size, I use a 2GB Sandisk card in my XDA IIs without any problems.

1gb mmc card is working fine on this phone..
so size should not matter..
i can read the stuff from the sd card... but can not write on it when it is in pda, i'm able to write to it by using a card reader..
Actually I think it may be the speed - 90x on this end

Unrecognized Card message. Please Help!

I have a xda1 and 1 month ago it suddenly refuse my storage card. When a card inseted, a message appear: "Unrecognized card: Enter the name of the device driver for this card. For more infomation, see the card manufacturer's documentation".
I have tried some rom upgrade: xda developer special edition; kitchen rom, O2 original rom... but nothing better.
I have tried some cards: sd 128, mmc 256 (Kingston), mmc 128, mmc 32..
After that, I think that the hardware might fault, so i did following the guide in this pages, i tried to back up boot & CE to sd card and upgrade from SD card. Every thing OK.
I can't do any more. Can anyone help me to resolve this problem? Is there any driver for storage card for XDA? Please help me.[/b]
I think there 're problem in my regestry because yesterday I 've changed some value in reg. and suddenly My xda can see the card!
But after that I turned off the xda and charged the battery and the problem occured again. I don't remember the value I 've set.
Can anyone who use the same xda have me? Can you save your current registry on your xda and send it to me? I need a standard registry file to compare with mine and I hope that can fix my Problem. Please give me that file on this pages or via email: [email protected]Thanks for your support![/url]

Upgrade Alpine rom via SD card

Hi, I would like to upgrade my rom from SD card. I have the official xda rom pack
Xda_IIi_Upgrade_v111171.exe
and i extracted nk.nbf from that archive
I then inserted an SD card into my reader and tried a
ntrw write nk.nbf f: (which is the card reader letter)
It starts to write and then a few seconds later i get
WriteFile(): nk.nbf -- The parameter is incorrect.
anyone tell me where im going wrong ? thank you
Id also like to know the next step bootloader etc as i havent been able to see a guide for that yet.
many thanks

Very easy SDHC is not support on the Blue Angel
really? ( too bad.. now i understand .. wish i can still return or exchange it to the store...
even my 2gb SD card is not recognized any help?
back up everything on the card (assuming the pc can still see the card).
then format it like this:
file system: fat32
allocation unit size: standard allocation size
label: whatever you want, e.g. BLUEANGEL
and untick quick format!
then you should be able to access it from the BA.
if you still aren't, there is probably something wrong with the card or your sd card slot in your BA.
