Very easy SDHC is not support on the Blue Angel
really? ( too bad.. now i understand .. wish i can still return or exchange it to the store...
even my 2gb SD card is not recognized any help?
back up everything on the card (assuming the pc can still see the card).
then format it like this:
file system: fat32
allocation unit size: standard allocation size
label: whatever you want, e.g. BLUEANGEL
and untick quick format!
then you should be able to access it from the BA.
if you still aren't, there is probably something wrong with the card or your sd card slot in your BA.

Hi,
I need some urgent help...
today i got apacer 1gb 60x sd card.
the card does not allow any write function when it is in my pda2k, thru active sync or thru file explorer on my pda2k,
though it works fine in a card reader, can write and delete on the card.
my older 1gb mmc card is wirking fine in the phone.
i also formatted the card using a card reader, even that does not help.
i tried a format utility on ppc, but that can't do anything on the card, it says the card is read only or the access has een denied,
pls help me!!
I have the same problem and I can not fix it.
I think its the quality of the card.
Same problem here.
For future Reference it is a 1GB, Pretec High Speed
my friend bought 2 cards and sent one to me,
his pda is O2 xdaIIs and mine is imate pda2k, both blueangles..
but the card is working on his pda, and not mine..
hardware is supposed to be the same from HTC...
i fail to understand how can this happen.
Possibly the size of the card, 1gb, is the problem?
FWIW, with regards to size, I use a 2GB Sandisk card in my XDA IIs without any problems.

1gb mmc card is working fine on this phone..
so size should not matter..
i can read the stuff from the sd card... but can not write on it when it is in pda, i'm able to write to it by using a card reader..
Actually I think it may be the speed - 90x on this end
Hallo,
i cooked many ROMs and every time i try to flash using SD Card (8GB), but without any sucess, it does not find any ROM to flash!
I renamed the cooked ROM to blacimg.nbh (also tried blackimg.nbh), copy to SD Card, Rebo0t into Bootloader mode (Power + Volume Down), it reboots and search for ROM then change to serial (usb)
I used search but no answer found
What am i doing wrong?

Which file did you rename to blacimg.nbh (that's correct and not blackimg.nbh)? Did you save it to the root of the sd card as suggested (although mine is in a folder and this also works)? Because the steps you are describing are correct and should work (work like that for me). The only thing I can think is that there is possibly something wrong with the file you are using. Is it one of your own cooked roms?

faced the same prob long time ago with a old 4 Gb card...no matter what i've did was not able to flash. However I sugest to reformat your sd card (FAT 32 and not on your pc/laptop, do it with your phone) and then try again after formating, altough it may not help. to be sure that you are not doing wrong try another SD card if possible.
Another option to check your self is flashing with ActiveSync after formating.
Good Luck
p.s. It seems this is happening often if you used your SD card in another device
I'd a similar problem while flashing on my old P3300
To avoid the problem, I'm using a 1gb micro sd dedicate only to rom flashing but with a single partition of 256MB.
dunno if this could help u
cheers
I was having exactly same problem today when I tried to flash - mine's 8gb mini SD which came as a part of package from Orange, U.K.. I ended up using normal USB cable but I was wondering why it didn't work...

Fashing with some big SD >4gb could generate some issue. Use one small dedicated to that and format it first in Fat32.
Hi Carl, thanks for your advice - it actually worked like a charm. I didn't really thing 8gb would cause this problem. I used just a plain 2gb ScanDisk card, formatted in Fat 32 and put only blacimg.nbh following normal procedures - thank you very much again!
My 2 cents
I had a similar problem not long ago with my 8Gb Micro SD that came with the card. I'd re-formatted it via the PC and altered the default settings based on a thread I read on here which was supposed to speed up access to the card. If I remember correctly it was changing the default allocation size.
Long story short, reformatted back to default settings and I was able to flash again from SD. IMO it's moreso the format of the card, not so much it's size as I never had a problem with flashing from card before tweaking it's format settings.
SD Card
I always flash from my SD card.
My latest card is a 16Gb class4 SanDisk, and I must have flashed more than 50 times from this. I always put my blacimg.nbh file in the root of the card.
Size of the card is not important, it just have to be formated in FAT32.
There are several reports that some brands of card do not work very well with Windows Mobile.
One time I purchased a Kingston card that simply would not work.
hi guys I got weird problem- my micro SD card is, or should I rather say was, 4GB. after some ROM installing I observed that its not a 4gb anymore, but 2gb. and its not about collecting trash, its just maximal capacity. Can some1 tell me what to do?
1. I dont have memory card reader in PC so dont ask me do to that okay?
2. should I do sth before installing new rom? of course HardSPL is done. But between installing 2 different roms? I used to copy the installation file Kovsimg.nbh on card and did standard prodecure- switch off the phone etc but I guess its a mistake isnt it?

keep the card in your phone and connect to pc with usb cable in card reader mode.
Format card.
If still dont work you got a fake/pirate micro sd
How did you format it ?
On the official SD Association web site http://www.sdcard.org/consumers/formatter/ there is the following statement:
"SD or SDHC memory card file systems formatted with generic operating system formatting software do not comply with official SD memory card requirements and optimum performance may not be experienced."
The site also provide an SD card formatter program, fully compliant with SD Association specifications, but, unfortunately for you, it runs only on PC, so you need a card reader.
I had the same problem some time ago, with a 2GB full size SD formatted with my iPaq and recognized as 1GB, this tool fixed it.
If you connect your device to PC as a card reader, as stated above, it should work.
Go to Settings / Connections / USB to PC and choose Disk Drive. At least, my Xperia, and many HTC have this control panel.

Hi, basically I put my 512mb micro sd card in to my X1 and then check if it is working, but it says Not Installed.
I tryed another card and same problem. I have formatted to fat32 and still same problem. But when I put my phone in to Disk Transfer it says insert memory card etc. but on my Windows machine it shows me the memory card.
It seems like software to me, is there anyway of fixing this?
I have also installed the HARD SPL to install a new ROM but unable.
Anyhelp is great
My girlfriend loves my Nook Color, and wants one too -- exactly the same as mine.
I am running CM7 off of my SD card. It took me awhile to customize my NC to get it just the way I like it.
Rather than go through the whole procedure on her Nook, can I just install CM7 and gapps, and then reboot with a copy of the contents of SD card?
In other words, I don't want to have to download all those gapps again, set up her home screen, etc.
Thanks!
You can do it that way by backing up all your apps to your SD card, copying to your computer, than transferring to the new card and reinstall. Use Titanium Backup or App Monster for the backups.
Or, you can make a clone image of your SD card on your computer and write the image to the new card. Your 2nd SD card will then be an exact duplicate. Log in with a new gmail account to separate them.
Wow, that is complicated. I just copied all the files from my 8gb card to my 16gb card on my computer and everything worked fine when I put the larger card in the Nook.
However, if you want to do all this clone and backup stuff, I guess that's another route.
Download Win32 Disk Imager.
https://launchpad.net/win32-image-writer
Insert source SD card.
Select the location you want to backup the SD card to.
Click Read.
Once finished, you can swap out the source SD card and put in the new SD card.
With the backup file still selected, click Write.

OK, fine. But you put the new card into the same Nook. What would've happened if you were to put the copied card into another, completely stock Nook? Would it still work?

I also believe this is the easiest way to transfer your complete "image" of CM7 from one card to another.

Unless I missed some config in the image software, it only copies the first partition. My 16GB SD card only got a 4GB image file and none of the other partition were there.
Did I miss something?

You haven't missed anything; the software is broken. The current version has bugs that cause wrap-around every 4GB (i.e., 32-bit integer overflow). Until the bugs get fixed, you should not use Win32 Disk Imager to read or write image files larger than 4GB.

And they all called me crazy down at the VFW!
Hey everyone, I am a long time lurker who has appreciated everything that is going on here but I have an issue. I want to clone my CM7 image to a newer sandisk 8gb class 4 card. I have the older version (0.1) of win32 disk imager but I am not sure how to write that image off of the card onto my computer to then write back. If anyone can lead me to these instructions, I would be MUCH appreciated. I cannot seem to find the exact steps and I do not want to mess anything up. You all rock, thanks for your help if you can reply.
I thought I would post my findings here for the OP and whoever else may need it. I found a way to backup the SD card image and it should be rewriteable back to a new SD card from what I have read. I used WinImage and under the DISK option, I chose "Creating Virtual Hard Disk Image from physical drive" Then chose the SD card and it will then ask you to choose where you want to save it. It seemed to work for me so I am hoping the burn back to my new SD card works as well. Hope this helps.
