Hi Guys
I know it's a strange request, but I was wondering if it was possible to have the Kaiser to act as a Bluetooth GPS unit, so I can use it with my MacBook Pro?
Thanks
Thomas
GPSGate is exactly what you're looking for.
Or GPS2Blue
Thanks guys...I knew it'd be out there....I just couldn't find it!
I can't get gps2blue to work with my kaiser. I keep getting IO exception. Bluetooth off? / Waiting for bluetooth to be enabled
However bluetooth is on and working just fine.
If you get something working let me know which ROM and how you did it.

Hi
Is there any software for the tytn2 which will allow me to use it as a bluetooth gps?
Thanks
i have installed a program named GPSgate. You can try this... but i never tested it. You can link your gps to bleutooth virtual com port and trough USB i thougt.
Good Luck
GPS2Blue, work perfect with my Kaiser and my UMPC via bluetooth
Looks like GPS2Blue will do the trick - what settings did you use on the TYTN2 ?
Thanks
I had the same question this morning Downloadd GPSGate end it worked perfect as a GPS via BlueTooth.

No just kidding. I installed the software on my TyTN II. Then started the program and it came with a wizard. I checked Active Sync and BlueTooth. After that you have a new row at the bottom of your screen. There you can see that it is active. I turned on the BT on my device. Then browsed BT devices on my computer and there a got a SPP port and it was mapped to COM18. In my program (which we wrote ourselves at our company) I connect to COM18 and all works fine.
Yes Blue2GPS is small, simple, light and it worked with NO FUSS and no bull.
I can use the GPS on my phone to track my position using Google, Microsoft's Live search and Delorme all the while sending a GPS signal to my laptop where I can also track my position - Lots of fun!
GPS2BLUE is but simple - It works.
Beautiful. Had exactly the same question and this has flatly answered it I spent hours this morning trying to get my Tytn2 to work as a standalone GPS receiver that my old brick of a Ipaq h6340 could use for it's SatNav software.
Thank you to all
Yep, try GPSGate.....
This is going to sound silly, but is it possible to share a bluetooth GPS via Bluetooth on the Tilt?
I have an unused smartphone with Tom Tom on it which I'd like to use as a car nav so my Tilt isn't tied up doing it. But I want the Tilt having use of the GPS for TrackMe and other things.
I will not use the Tilt's GPS for many reasons, so I use a Bluetooth GPS, and share it out to multiple programs on the Tilt via GPSGate. All that works well. But it'd be nice to be able to share the bluetooth GPS with the other smartphone as well.
AFAIK the GPS won't connect to multiple devices, and I tried to set up a bluetooth output in GPSGate which didn't seem to work. I know the Tilt can connect to multiple devices on Bluetooth, but perhaps GPS data is too much to share. But figure it's worth asking.
I wanted to find out if it's possible to use the Tilt as a Bluetooth GPS adapter. I recently got an iPhone from a friend and am just trying it out but no GPS sucks. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
I think this might be what you are looking for

That app looks exactly like what I'm looking for. Will try once I'm back at my computer. Thanks
So I have a shiny new Kenwood KDC-BT838U and for a $220 dollar toy it is pissing me off very much. It does not automatically connect or disconnect from my phone when powering on or off. Simple fix for that is an app to manually establish connection. a2dp will be running fine, then a call comes in. After the call sound will not work and I get all kinds of connection issues until I just power down the head unit then turn it back on (sometimes a few times).
I tested my kaiser with other bluetooth HU's and it worked fine. Then kenwood was not in the store but I love all its other features and it looks great. I contacted Kenwood support and they said that it is a problem with my phone's bluetooth protocol. I decided to give Kenwood the benefit of the doubt. I want to try the widcomm stack.
Found it here.

I have read that it works with the kaiser. True? After installing the cab, do I need to delete the MS bluetooth reg key or do anything special?
Any Kaiser widcomm users out there? Can you comment on any issues you have? Thanks!
I went ahead and installed the cab linked above. At first I was getting the out of memory error on boot. I changed the baud rate ([HKLM\Software\Widcomm\BTConfig\SerialTransport]) to 115200 and it appears to be working now. Will report more findings later. If anyone else is using it please share your experiences here. Pretty much all the threads I found by searching were people with the same question and they pretty much all went unanswered.
Wellit only thinks it is working. Kasier would not find any bluetooth devices near by and my computer cannot find my kaiser. I guess I will give up now but if anyone else got it working please let me know.
Oh BTW, don't install the CAB unless you don't mind a hard reset. I was prepared for that of course, but just a heads up.
I'm sorry if this has been asked before.
I tried searching for an answer but didn't come up with any.
I want to know if it is possible to use my diamond as either a wired or bluetooth gps reciver to a computer.
The purpose is that i want to use a netbook pc as a gps navigation device.
I just need to know whether i can use my phone as the reciver.
It's possible to use your diamond as a bluetooth GPS receiver with GPS2Blue

Nice tanks for your answer!!!!
hey guys, I'm running the ultimate-X2 rom pack from here and I can't seem to get the configuration of my blue tooth working with my EEE. I've tried BT DUN and it keeps reporting back that the modem is out of order, any ideas?
Do you have active sync on the computer? I don't remember if it needs it or not for BT.
yea AS is on there and everything works as it shoudl through a usb cable, just can't get DUN to work or PAN
Are you using WM5 or WM6.1? I know that with 6.1 you need to use the Internet Sharing app.
Also, which Bluetooth stack are you using? I got it to work on a Toshiba BT stack, but once I figured out how to AS over BT, it stopped the net sharing from working. I think you can only have one pair at a time. I'm not sure though. I'd also like to know how to get both working without interfering with one another.
WM 6.5 and i'm using the built in bluetooth adapter on my EEE, no idea what stack its using
I got it, didn't have my pair set up right and PAN was the proper way to do it and use IS on WM. the modem trick was a no-go and worthless IMO
Good. Glad to hear you got it working. I got my internet sharing to work once, but once I set it up to ActiveSync over Bluetooth it stopped working. I guess when it's paired once it won't let it be paired again. Anyone have any support for this? I'm using a Toshiba Bluetooth stack (sadly... thinking of switching to MS stack) and a Tilt ROM.
