PDF Software - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III Themes and Apps

Hello,
Anyone know where I can get a free PDF viewer? An actual Adobe Acrobat would be nice.
Thanks.

you can go to adobe's website to get the ppc version but it is a very old one, else look for Pocketxpdf cab here

Don't you have pre-installed Acrobat Reader LE?

Yes, but it's from 2004. I would like an updated version if that's possible.

You can use alternate PDF software but as far as I know there is no newer version of the adobe software. But since MS has licenced Acrobat Reader LE, maybe an updated version will show up with the first official WM 6.1. ROMs. Personally I found the "Picsel PDF Viewer" which came with Palm Treo 750 the best PDF software for PPCs. Unfortunately it's not available as standalone.

This is the dog nadgers..not bugfree but gorgeeous quality view

Looking for a FREE PDF converter like Adobe Acrobat

Any suggestions?

cutepdf
or openoffice also save directly to pdf
PDFCreator:

Free, open source, no watermarking like a lot of the other 'free' PDF programs out there.
Installs as a printer, very easy to use...
pdf995
i used pdf995 for years, until i finally got full acrobat at work.
it's still great.

I have downloaded this software.
It feels really good.
I have to test it.
FreePDF
I use this
http://freepdfxp.de
and it works like a charm. Freeware, of course.

Edit: Another PDF Reader - Foxit Reader

http://www.foxitsoftware.com/downloads/index.html#mobile
(Just download the zip verison and unpack to your programs directory )
Has anyone tried it and compared to Adobe, PocketXPDF, ClearVue and/or Picsel?
Any comments?
Thanks.
Edit: Foxit Reader for mobiles is not free, but looks great.
The Foxit Reader Mobile isn't free. It costs $20.
Isn't all foxit reader software free? And they charge for the creater etc software?
can I get the foxit reader patch/crack?
foxit reader is free
Foxit reader is free and works quite well. I like that it comes with the reflow tool under the view menu unlike the stock Adobe Reader LE that came standard with the HTC TyTN II

That is not true! Can't you read?
Resurrecting this thread. Found that Adobe Reader LE don't render some parts of the standard document I need to read, making them invisible - UNACCEPTABLE! FoxIt reader 2.0 works great, but a bit slow. Even the ancient PocketXpdf is rendering that invisible content without a problem. Shame on Adobe!
By the way, folks, is there any new pdf readers around which might better fit the HTC HD2 for example (multitouch, more clever controls, etc)?

Opera - why no you tube?

with the iphone if you go on a webpage that has an embeded you tube video then it launches the you tube app and plays. yet opera on the diamomd simply doesnt even show the embed video controls. why?k any way to get it to work?
Because Flash Lite 3.0 (required to run Flash video of the type that Youtube and various others use) is not actually installed in the Diamond.. We only have Flash Lite 2.0 for Windows Mobile so far. Flash Lite 3.0 was released on Symbian OS some time ago, and I know for a fact that Microsoft bought the rights (license) to use the software on WinMo but as to the specifics of that agreement, who knows.
We can only hope and wait, maybe someone else can provide more info.

One step forward - two steps back.
Its really stupid to not have flash enabled browser.
You cant browse half of the internet.
Kind of piss me off to buy a device so expensive and wont handle this simple task.
Thats why i was always against damn flash websites.
But it seems i dont have choice but use the now.
I have downloaded an Adobe Flash Lite program/applicatrion from this site. If I install it on my phone will it allow me to view websites with flash videos on them?
Some people have reported that Flash 7 for PPC works - others have said not.
Flash Lite 3 AKU will be brought out by Microsoft later this year apparently, alongside a new version of IE. It will most likely work with Opera 9.5
Opera 9.5 is fully compatible with Flash Lite 3 but it is up to the manufacturer whether they include it on their product or not. So really we should be looking to chastise HTC.
On roms which have opera build 1660 (like duttys 1.1), I installed flash 7 for ppc, and it did kind of work, albeit too slow - bbc's iplayer really did play, but at 1 frame per second, which is a valiant effort, heres hoping that the bbc develop a proper version for wm.
I've got duttys latest version, but that didnt have opera installed by default. Installing build 1660 and flash v7 doesn't work, as soon as a webpage with embedded youtube starts to render, the sip pops up and then opera just closes.
Not sure why opera can't just render a box/frame if it comes across a youtube embedded link, and then just call the youtube player if present when the link is clicked - surely it can't be that hard?
What about playing redtube.com vids??

That's the entire point of this topic, but the other point being in that it's not too appearent, which you just broke. Now some can't really browse this topic from work or home (wife/girlfriend) anymore because you blew it!
hmmmm... all these questions you've ALL asked have been answered by my YouTube Bible in the Wiki (!)... see the advantages of reading my articles and Bibles?

Best PDF reader?

hey guys, I'm not satisfied with the Adobe reader that came with my AT&T Tilt. does anyone have a good pdf reader? I hate how I have to use my stylus soo often to move the page left and right to properly view the PDFs. My friends told me about how sweet Palm Reader was for Palm PDAs and how it would convert the PDF to maximum readability so that all the letters would fit to the screen properly. Is there a similar program for windows mobile?
PB
I use Piscel Browser..we can zoom in/out..its like OPERA..
Foxit is an option
Not free, but good.
http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/mobile/winmobile.htm
I looked around for Picsel browser to try, but I cant even find a way to buy it. Is it OEM only?
My Best
Try this one.
It seems to work best for me.
I use some kind of ported adobe reader off the Diamond that has text reflow, like opera. I don't think it uninstalls real well if you have an adobe reader baked into your ROM, but search around. Of the PDF software I've tried, it's decent. Try searching something like "adobe reader LE 2.5 Diamond".

Sadly, my favorite PDF reader is now Word Mobile!
If you go here:
http://pdfonline.com/pdf2word/index.asp
you can upload your PDFs and the website converts them to .rtf files you can download and view in Word.
They increase in size about 10x, but if you then resave them as .doc it cuts them in half (now about 5x original .pdf size.)
Images convert as well as text, and now the document can word wrap, to avoid scrolling, plus you can edit them.

Adobe reader 2.0 does not do reflow
Adobe reader 2.5 does
It's available as a CAB and once installed it will replace the embeded one.
Or flash a recent ROM that has version 2.5 already integrated.

Adobe PDF Reader for Android

There is an Adobe PDF reader in the Market for requires Android 2.1 or higher. Here is a link: market://search?q=com.adobe.reader
Works great for me on CM5. Some of the reviews say it's slow, but it's faster than the free pdf reader I previously had, and opens files that even the HTC pdf reader won't...
Also tried this application. It had no problems opening large files,
a 90+ pages pdf loaded quite fast.
Just what we need, a way to open our phones to exploits.
can uploaded apk??
my Market need wipe before use
Android 3:1 and Adobe Reader
Did somebody teste AR on the OS updated version? How about stability? How's working there?
(I apologise for my bad english)
Regards.
