Ive never used or needed to use the wifi on my tilt but thought that since people use their tilt as an internet connection for their laptops, could i also use my kaiser as an internet connection for my psp? i just want to play games online with my psp at work and was wondering if the tilt was capable of this? With a price tag of 500 bucks you'd think it would be capable of anything, even a happy ending haha.

Damn, im using dutty's march 08 rom and i dont see wifi router in connections or anywhere on my tilt. Under settings, connections theres a wifi option but it looks like this option is only used to search for routers and connect to existing routers, not enable my phone to be a router. Anyone have a cab for wifi router or am i missing something? Thanks guys!

it really really worked?

I am trying to do exactly this. I am running a psp slim with cfw 3.71 and a kaiser with duttys 6.1 rtm with wmwifirouter 0.91 I tried several methods with no success. I allllmost wanna call bs on it actually working. Can you make a vid of it and upload to youtube or something. If you have it working then you are the only one of about 300 people who have documented their failure trying to accomplish the very same thing. Sharing your configuration would help many people out here. Lemme know!!!
Thanks,
J

Why would you need to do that? The PSP has WiFi built in.

True, but it's a pain when your not in a wifi area like my local pub having a couple of pints and you want to do a bit of online gaming

Any update on getting PSP for work with WMWifiRouter ?

Hell, I've connected to the Playstation Network on my PS3 through WMWifiRouter when the cable went out.
Look for it in .zip form, it doesn't need to install, it's just an exe

How is that gaming experience ? Too slow to enjoy ?

absolutely. The ping was over 200 for everything, I pretty much did it just to say I could.

Could you share your exact setup and settings? Never been able to get my PS3 to work with WMWifiRouter (PSP neither, btw, though didn't try the quoted firmware)

how to use internet sharing over linux

hey there everyone , thanks for reading my thread
i recently stoped using windows and started using linux and i was wondering , is there a way to use the internet sharing of my kaiser with linux, any help?
thanks in advance
Have you set up Synce/Opensync to have the computer talk to the kaiser? I'm pretty sure you have to do that before it'll properly recognize the phone as a modem...I haven't tested it yet though, I only got Opensync up and running last night.
I found this a few weeks ago while trying to setup my ubuntu load. It's a piece of cake to get the tilt running as a modem in ubuntu/debian.

Mine works right out of the box with usb connection ICS in Kubuntu 8.04. I just installed it today and was stoked to find this out needless to say.

ROM with Blackberry Connect

Hi guys,
Anyone know if one of the cooked roms works with Blackberry Connect yet?
It's killing me that I can't get this app working
John.
Would be interested in this one as well, won't need to carry 2 phones around then
Same here. Have tried last version of BBC but as I understand it wont work untill BB adds the hd to there allowed phones or something. They have to add IMEI numbers, I heard. So sw works but you cant register it at BB.

hi, can you share with us how did you make it work. I have been struggling on this for weeks. Can you shed some lights here?
The message you got it work, is interesting, lucky you, but it does not help others, where a forum is made for. So we all would very much apprechiate you tell us how you did it.
I tried modify the HKLM\\Comm\TNETW12511\Parms\HTCPreloadLEAP to 1, then s-reset Diamond, but still failed.
Waiting for post master's response......

Connectiong to school's wireless network

in order for my fuze to connect to my school's wireless network, i need to download their recommended persistent agent and anti-virus. can i do that even though the software is intended for PCs? or should i just suck it up and use the intermittent 3g network?

Depends on the implementation, you can probably connect to it but you might need additional software (I think meetinghouse make something) and based on what you say it sounds like they could implement NAC which could make it quite difficult to connect.

It depends how it's implemented, there is probably a certificate or something you might need in their download

This covers the HTC5800, yeah?

What can I do with this phone other then what it does out of the box?
Theres so little information and work I can find on it.
hey buddy,
there isnt alot of things that can be done with the phone right now.. which company do u have it from?
the first would be App Unlock your phone to be able to install applications .. jsut search on google "app unlock S620" and follow that procedure...
I have a wm6.0 running so i have a couple of skins and stuff installed... most of the stuff that can work on the Vox Forums can work on libra as well. besides the roms ofcourse.
if you got any other questions holla for sure... i know it was a pain for me to find any information on the phone!

surprised me too! the poor phone still doesn't have enough ram and is missing wifi, otherwise it would be perfect.
I just picked up one of these phones yesterday and am still getting used to not having a touch screen. If I'm not mistaken this phone does have the GPS. What's the process for getting it to work with Google Maps, etc?
Thanks
no this phone doesnt have gps....
it has the processor which is needed to have gps... but apparently it doesnt work with any company...
iv looked around for a fix .. but no one has found out one...
and 5800 doesnt have wifi built in either
