Idk if this has been posted yet because i havent found it personally.

does anyone actually know when this is supposed to come out?
Where's your crystal ball? Mine is broken so I can't tell you when it is officially available.
Several threads throughout XDA about this... From what I read, it looks like 3rd Quarter 2008. Check the Microsoft press release web page for more info...

Well I finally managed to get into the europe htc site and register under vrious product serial numbers, to get the link to download the WM 6.1 upgrade rom - so the rumors are correct
The only thing is, I played around with the 5th digit, and replaced with 1 and 2 and got dutch and danish options, but no english ! :-(
Anyone has suggestions on what digit will enable english language download ?
theres a whole thread on tihs.

Seriously...who is doubting that this was official? HTC released it "officially" on May 23rd. There are no less that 1000 posts on this forum dealing with the official release.
In addition, it appears you are posting about how to scam a fake serial number to register a non-existent device.
Why you would want to do this I'm not sure, since the official WWE version has been posted numerous times among those 1000+ threads.
What I don't understand, is, if you have a "usa" version, why you would want to fool around with the ROM update anyway.
I guess I'm gettin' too old to fool around with bleeding edge stuff. I'll wait
until the dust settles, let at&t release one (if they ever do), or wait until XDA
gets a 100% stable release. Personally, the only issue I have with the tilt is
the slow switching from landscape to portrait mode. I don't watch videos, so that one isn't an issue.
Hat's off to you guys out there that play with these early releases.
There are threads about this in the ROM development forums and there are links in the Kaiser wiki on the Shipped ROMs page for all languages, including english. (See my sig for a quick link)
Thread closed.
I have been looking and waiting for months and months, searched a lot so I apologize if I missed it somewhere.......
Is this going to be officially released in a US version
this is/was pretty much exactly what I was looking for......but don't know if it is ever going to happen.
Thanks.
It is supposed to be coming, although I have not checked in a while as I am wanting the Touch Pro now O_O
Anywho its called the HTC Wings 200, quickly looking for some links for you shows not much of an update, I thought it was due out later this year but I am not positive, there is some info on it here. Specs look exactly the same except theres two more UMTS bands for somewhat better US support.
There's another few sites online that have that same spec sheet but not a lot of info. There's a few threads floating around this site discussing some information on it but they have not been updated in a while.

Interesting stuff. Looks great in the specs, relese date Feb. 2008 is what I've seen elsewhere also. I guess we need more info on when/if this may happen for real.
The touch pro is a Pocket PC right, I'm liking the smartphone idea a little bit. I'm running a Tilt now tricked out and it's pretty good, but this S730/Wings 200 has had my eye for a long time, simplicity and everything in one.
The tilt suffers from the Pocket PC os issues as all other Windows Mobile touch screen devices.
Thanks for the reply, I hope someone knows or can point us to a bit more.
I guess this is just a dead issue. Bummer, I was really looking forward to this phone.
It's a shame, the smartphone in this form by HTC would be very cool.
At this point I wouldnt hold out much hope for it, although the s740 could make it over...
I've seen ones for spain and UK I'm wondering if there is a US one i'm missing somewhere under a odd name and if so can someone let me know what it is

I don't believe there is. I've poked around looking for one.
It is something that I keep an eye out for, it will be nice when it happens!
Lookin for one myself. I have seen a couple german ones. Can't wait for the US version.
I Found this a few weeks ago
I like it, but am unsure of its development stage. Hasn't been any movement on it since June
im working on one, hope to have it finished soon, been really busy lately but hopefully I can finish it by the end of the month LOL
I remember that tvguide.com had a Windows Mobile application out for a while. Just tried to do a search and couldnt come up with anything though. I used it over a year ago on my HTC Touch. I'm hoping that TVGuide will put out another new app for Android so that you can set reminders for certain shows.
does anyone know whatever happened with this home replacement? Tried to get in the beta never received an email

Not really sure, and I find it ironic that the TAT homepage says there's an update about TAT Home FAQ, but the link takes you to a dead page, and the TAT Home homepage is dead as well... Perhaps the FAQ update was telling people that's it's a failed project? Haha. Not sure, I was really hoping for an actual release though.
EDIT: Ok, nevermind, the page isn't down... it's just stuck in an infinite redirect loop and throws the browser an error. Ironic that a great set of developers and programmers managed to goof up and keep redirecting to the same page over and over...haha. Their Home Page says it's available for OEMs and Developers though *shrugs*
IRC I believe a few people here recieved it to Beta test.
However they were not allowed to disclose it, shame I signed up for the test aswell.
i remember hearing about tat home. i hope it hasn't become vaporware
dnf!
TAT Home has only been available to vendors. It's not going to show up anytime soon as download in the market. It is stated that way on their website and has been said before. If anyone is really wishing for it to come out soon, they may end up being disappointed unless there is a big surprise from the makers. The beta has been going on for a bit, but there is nothing to go on to actually acquiring it yet.
IMO I think TAT may be short-changing themselves by not offering this in the market....even if they brought out a "lite" version it would at least it would get a following which may in-turn be the deciding factor for some people choosing buy their products in the future. But now most of us were just sold(not in a literal sense though) a dream.
Like topic says does anyone know when the os is going to come out?
I've been reading a lot of peoples review saying that their a scam and basically made away with $45,000.
Don't know if its true or not? Never really heard of them before.

Hi there,
I know nothing about what it is, other than it looks like a layer between WebOS and Android Apps. However I saw this from there kickstarter page, I guess its not near release date yet...
http://www.kickstarter.com/projects...apps-in-webos-on-the-hp-touchpad/posts/504579
Cheers, Lister
The official site talks about the end of september. cost 29.99$
Pre version is normally available for donators.
This should give webos on HP Touchpad a second life.
Hope so.
