My BT8010 has stopped vibrating. I reset the menu, reset factory defaults, etc., etc. No dice. Anyone have a clue? I mean, a clue about this situation?

Did you at anytime drop it? Shake it a bit and listen if anything sounds loose. It might also be that the head on the vibrator motor is jammed. What exactly were you doing when it stopped vibrating?

I'm sure this won't be it and you'll have already have tried it... but on mine the default setting for vibrate is "off".
You haven't try reloading the software yet? That seems to be the only option left.

When I press the volumen button, the system volume start, but I Can´t increse or decrease the volume with the hard button (I can with touch screen). I supose that is a HTCVolumen service problem.
Resolve. It was the esset avirus program
When I uninstall the avirus its works fine
Just on a side note Why is there suddenly such a influx of AV programs for WM?
How many of you have actually had virus problems on your XDA's?

Did you just install S2U2 1.0x??
Jep! Indeed!
But i have the 'volume control' function off
I've got this problem too! anyone got a solution? thanks
What about setting S2U2's last option "Don't use KeyBoard Hook" to ON ?
I don't have S2U2, any idea why I might be having problems?
I got the same problem..
After uninstalling the latest S2U2 the volume keys started working again.
There must be a bug in the S2U2 code.
same problem for me. It's S2U2 the cause. But after press the volume key, you can increase and decrease volume by touch screen.

This seems to work after a softreset. I didn't have a call yet so i'm still waiting if the s2a function works the same!
Thanks anyway!
EDIT: I just received a call and at least the s2a function keeps running normally
S2U2
Just enable volumecontroll in S2U2. Then it will work. Just did and it works fine now.
I have this problem, I have completely lost the up/down volume controls with the hard buttons, instead it just acts as an up / down in menus etc!! I don't have anything like S2U2 etc installed, But I have updated to the HTC 1.93 ROM
Any advise is much appreciated
Thanks

I have done plenty of soft resets, no Hard Resets, I haven't been in a position to do a Hard Reset recently and loose all my data been too busy.
Just thought it might be something simple!! A Setting or something.
When I get chance I will perform a Hard Reset and see if that works. I assume afterwards it will automatically install manilla etc. Like on first boot.
Cheers

Ok. As i remeber it, you dont loose you´re data on internal memory, on a hard-reset. Only installed programs. Correct me if i am wrong, i have only been in this windows mobile world in a few weeks. But i look forwards to hear if i solves the problem. Sorry for the bad spelling. I´m danish.
I gave my Kaiser to a friend. Total n00b. Great guy, but he's the kind who can't program a VCR.
Anyway, when he receives an SMS, he gets the little pop-up notification, but it will not play sound or vibrate. Changing the settings in Sounds and Notifications has no results.
In the 2 years I used Kaisers, this never happened. And I used the ROM he's using the longest.
Anyone have any idea of how to fix this without a hard reset?

Of course. I also tried the tweaks from Advanced Config, disabled sound for SMS notify and rebooted, re-enabled sound and rebooted. No result.
more details needed...which radio ROM? which SPL?
Fail to see how that suddenly matters when I've used this ROM close to a year with multiple hard resets and never encountering this problem before.
Something in the registry or else where is mucked-up.
Just going to hard reset.
Hi,
I made the official Jelly Bean 4.1.2 update and later I have noticed that no voice comes from the speaker. After the update I have been able to listen music several times but the speaker was not working when bellringing and later the speaker became not working.
The bell ring was not a standard melody (android melodies i mean). I changed it to the standard "over the horizon" melody. The speaker started to operate againg. I reset to the first not standard melody the speaker crashed and from then on i can hear no voice from the speaker.
By the way, there is no problem at earphones. Whenever i unplug the earphones, the music player goes to pause mode.
The hardware check utility ( *#0*# I mean) also gives no symptom and behaves as if it is working properly. I don't think this is a hardware problem but i also don't know how to solve this.
Waiting for your help immediately.
Thanx in advance for your help.

First and most importatnt thing after going from 2.3.6 to 4.1.2 i to do FACTORY RESET. Do it in recovery, and share what happend after.
Ofcourse you will loose data like SMS, contacts, instaled apps... So backup it before doing factory reset.

Thanx for your interest.
I made factory reset, i mean wipe data and wipe cache. there is still no voice. I think you will make an inference of a hardware problem, but i must also mention that i succeeded to make it operating without any recovery.

How did you wipe data? You have option in recovery to do FACTORY RESET. Do that.

I recovered the speaker sound. came and went again. It started to work but with a high volume sound it went again with a sizzle. It's probably a driver problem...

I don't think it to be a hardware problem. Rather, it looks to be a driver problem or OS limitation.
Hello,
My phone is almost a month old now and first two weeks were fine no problem at all. Now last few days it has been randomly rebooting itself when I swipe my lockscreen to open. It never does this when I am using the phone only sometimes when I'm unlocking the screen by swiping or just directly go from notifications etc. This happens like twice a day depending how much I use my phone.
I also feel like it first started to happen when I updated it. To be honest I am not sure what it did update. I also installed bunch of apps which I did delete later.
What should I do next? Factory data reset? Or is there a way to see the "crash report" or something to see whats causing it?
tldr; phone randomly reboots after lockscreen, what to do
Thanks.

After the update if some issues show up is recommended to do a Factory Reset. Start do that.

Agreed. If that does not work, re-flash the phone with a stock FTF to start over. If the problem continues after that, it must be some hardware issue.

I did that and didnt get single reboot yesterday. Too bad I didnt try this earlier. Thanks.
I am having the exact same issue.
Here is that I have done that didnt work.
Reset (vol up/pwr)
reset using red button by sim card
factory data reset
software install using pc companion
However, After each one I set the phone back up how I had it. I had the gmail widget on the lock screen. the phone would reboot at random times right after attempting to unlock. I removed the gmail widget and it hasnt happened since! I sat here locking and unlocking for about 15 minutes and it hasnt rebooted.
IN SHORT TRY TO REMOVE THE WIDGETS BEFORE ANYTHING ELSE
Hope this helps

Does that happen only to me? I'm on SM-N950U (T-Mobile), I add a second language in Samsung Keyboard, I change some other settings in it as well and then restart my phone. After that the keyboard hast lost every setting I changed and also it shows me again the first time tips.
I guess I need to do a factory reset just to be sure, but before doing that, I would appreciate if someone else could confirm if this issue exists in its phone or not.

BTW: I'm in process of performing a Factory Reset on my device. Will keep you posted.....
