Currently my phone seems to have a battery problem of sorts, and has crashed during a flash process, leaving me in bootloader mode.
now i can't seem to flash anything , cause apparently my battery dies(not sure) (and my phone keeps rebooting into bootloader)
the problem is , i can't seem to recharge my battery WITHOUT a rom being installed.
so is it possible to charge the battery without a rom being installed (i.e in bootloader mode)? if not, what can i do? my battery lasts approximately 2 mins which isn't enough to load tnt or Black diamond.
here is the fix for that but i cant vouch for it
http://www.asktheadmin.com/2007/06/htc-wizardcingular-8125-dead-battery.html
i just ended up buying a vradel with a seperate battery charger on it for a second battery it cost me about 25-30 i dont rember.but in my opinion i was a little scraed to hare wire charge my battery they aint cheap unles u order online then your phones down for a while. good luck
thanks, will definitely check it out.

No, i believe that in bootloader mode there's no charging circuit enabled (that's why the RUU advise a charged battery before upgrading )

Ok in short my battery is not charging at all. I have had this kaiser for a month mayb, but the battery for almost a year. I we away for the weekend and forgot my charger so my phone died. I plug into charger and charging light comes on but when i try and turn it on phone boots then dies as it has no power from cable or battery.
Phone is COMPLETELY stock + tf2d.
AT&T Tilt
Any ideas anyone?
I just updated my phone (even tho it has no battery...). So right i went into bootloader and flashed the offical rom, it died at 13% then retarted and finished flashing....idk if it was supposted to do that or not idk. but now it boots and does the samething as if it has no battery...idk what the deal is .
The battery is heating up like its charging...
It remained updating from 13%-100% and didnt die but i dont think it can charge while updating..but after updating when installing it dies as soon as it gets to "clearing storage"
update
i believe i have a mechanical issue now not a battery issue. This is because even tho it says its charging the battery the phone SHOULD be able to boot under power cable only without battery....but it does not....seems i shall be calling at&t....

Nope, HTC phones and most others can't boot just off the power cable with no battery.

If you had read the warnings in the flashing application you'd have seen it says to ensure your battery is charged before flashing. If your battery is flat and the phone turns off during flash (which looks like it has happened here) it leaves you with an incomplete flash and unusable OS, no wonder it crashes randomly. If you have HardSPL you can recover from that, but as you said you're completely stock it might be a lot more problematic.
lol no no my friend you miss understand what im saying.
Trust me i know the warnings of flashing(300+ flashes many failed...happens when making ur own roms), and knowing these i flashed anyways. What i was trying to point out was that it went through the flash all the way even tho during the same amount of time it would have died during booting, the flash was successful but idky.
The phone is not crashing randomly it has no battery power lol. This problem has nothing to do with flashing because before this it was 100% stock...
Are you sure the kaiser can not boot purly off external power? I was almost positive i had done this before.
I have been able to use my Wizard for a while and to flash ROMs without any problems. But one day, the device rebooted while flashing and is stuck in bootloader. Every time I try to flash a new ROM, the phone turns on and off repeatedly, and won't finish the upgrade. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks.
Had the same problem which actualy was not that kind of the problem. Propably your battery is dead, I had the same situation with my HTC but the battery was old and swollen. what You can do is to either plug the charger for few hours just in case or replace the battery with new one. It helped me in both cases. Firts I charged the battery enough to flash the rom but very small one. I had to recharge the battery after flashing because it couldn't stand soft reset after flash and it was blinking like Yours but everything was ok. Finaly i bought new battery which was good after all cause I bought 2400mA instead of 1200mA and blinking never appeared again.

Thanks for the reply,
I eventually was able to flash back to button rom by copying what the person did in this thread. Now I can flash roms but only when the battery is at 100%. However, every once in a while, the device will crash and reboot repeatedly until I connect it to a charger or wait a few minutes. I assume that this is also a battery problem? Either way, I will probably get a new battery.
I had the same issues and it was solved once I replaced the battery!
Good luck!
So I seem to have a strange problem; my phone seems to be unable to charge my battery beyond let's say 10%. For the first couple of minute when I charge the phone via a usb connection with my pc; it displays a battery filled about 5% accoumpanied by a yellow triangle and a black exclamation mark in the triangle. Then after some times of leaving it in the pc; it does show the original battery screen, a battery filled up to about 10% with five black/grey dots underneath it, and one-by-one these dots light up.
I am on a rooted xxla4 rom with the accompanying kernel..... (I can't perform a "wipe battery stats from this CWM version" and I would like to stay on this rom, because it at least a bit like the stock rom, since I don't know whether with this battery situation I will ever get enough battery to install the stock rom again with odin 3.04 )
**Originally I was a while on Asylum 10.1, but then I tried out Parandroid 2.99 beta and to improve the performance I installed Rhythum kernel, when I was a Asylum about two days ago and everthing still worked properly I had about 7 hours of battery life and my phone charged (with the wall charger) to about 100% in three hours. I can't imagine a battery to break within 72 hours and I also can't imagine Rhythum kernel or Parandroid to have caused this, but if I am wrong PLEASE CORRECT ME.
Hi,
If i were you, i'd flash a kernel that supports remove battery stats and remove them.
If that doesn't work, you could try to flash your rom again, but this one is tricky...
because your phone doesn't charge further then 10%.
I don't know about the rom you said, but use a rom without aroma to be sure the least battery is drained...
I hope this will help you.
Good luck.
Cheers,
Kreekhoorn
**Not to forget to keep your phone into the charger (wallcharger) while flashing, just to save battery.
Do a battery calibration using apps in the store, may be the 10% is 100%
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
Well, the 10%, regretfully isn't a 100%, because the phone kicks me out after about 5 minutes, because it says the battery is empty. I also can't use the battery calibration, because these apps say the phone isn't fully charged so they close.....
(flashing a kernel is possible, but because I can't get into the phone anymore; the battery now remains dead. It seems I am quite cornered now)
**But do you guys think this problem is purely battery related or do you think the phone itself is broken, I mean if just the battery is broken, I might just get a new one, but I don't want to buy a battery to find out the phone itself is actually broken....:crying:
I would first try a different battery
I will need to buy one either way, since I don't own a spare battery and don't know anyone with a spare battery...
**Recently I tried to flash Asylum back on my Note, because it had a kernel which is able to remove the battery stats, but Mobile ODIN got stuck at about 12% of flashing the rom-> so now when I put the phone into the charger, it does not get beyond the picture of the battery with the loading sign within; does this mean the phone is broken? And are you still able to charge although the phone's UI does not show the battery is charging....(So does the battery still charge without the loading interface on the phone?)
->Also when buying a new battery do they at least come a bit pre-charged or are they sold completely empty? Does anyone know anything about this?
Keep the charger plugged in with the phone off for a couple of hours. Download a good custom rom. Boot into recovery and most uab storage. Copy the rom on to your phone. Perform all wipes and installation the new rom.
The new battery comes with a little charge in it.
Thanks for the advice, I have bought a new battery. It is shipping to me; I hope this will resolve my problems (key will be whether the battery is already charged a bit, because I don't know if it will charge in my phone. Since I don't have a rom installed (mobile odin seems to have deleted my rom, but did not continue to install the new rom.....)) Fingers crossed!
(I also kept the charger in the phone some time, but it just does not want to charge; in the very few times I can enter download mode, I get the "can't download battery is too low" message)
->I will let let you guys know if something changes!
There are external chargers which are pretty cheap. This will help in worst case scenario. Anyways good luck mate
New Battery just charges 3% in one hour
So I recieved my new battery, and flashed a new rom, but I seem to have an other strange problem; I let the phone charge for about an hour now, and the battery just went up by 3 percent. Has anyone else seen this kind of behaviour with a new battery (the store from which I bought the battery said it was an original battery -> http://www.mobilesupplies.nl/battery-samsung-galaxy-note-n7000-eb615268vu-p-13527.html (link to the battery I bought))
->To put this in perspective the battery I previously had (which is apparantly broke now) charged to 100% from 0% in just 3 hours.....
try a few charging cycles and then check the charging time
This probably is a bad question, but I suppose it is better to ask than just to assume; does anyone know whether clearing my battery stats will improve the rate my phone charges my battery? I assume the phone remembers the battery stats taken from my previous battery, which might influence its usage of the new battery?
I don't think so as it's regarded useless clearing battery stats in recovery.. That's why it has been removed from the newer version of Cwm recoveries.
Any how charging the battery to 100% resets that file
The same problems seems to also pop-up with this new battery, I suppose there is nothing else left to do except for sending the phone to the repair center.
->The phone does show something is plugged in, it does detect the usb cable connected to the wall charger which is consequently connected to the power output in the wall. The image it shows (BASED ON THE CHARGE LEFT IN THE BATTERY, so it does not show anything when the battery is empty) is a battery with a yellow triangle and a black exclamation mark inside the yellow triangle (the same icon I got with my old battery)
The battery also does not get hot neither does the phone in the slightest bit; and in my memory, before this problem occured, I remembered the phone getting at least a little bit more warm.
I suppose now all that probably remains is for the Samsung service center to either check the charging circuits and try to fix those OR replace the entire motherboard (which what I assume they will do). I just hope they are not going to make up some excuse about the garanty, because I have always treated my phone with the utmost care....
may be its just the USB module that needs changing.. Samsung should do it.
Well i also juat got a new battery this week. I went for the samsungs spare rather than the mugen extended or the gold battery.
My old battery got swollen and its because of my fault, i used to keep it on charge throuhout night to get 100% in the morning but i was surprised coz despite being in bad shape it was giving me a goos battery time. But after a discussion here on xda i got a new battery and i am happy now coz its giving me 30% more time plus i got extra power now
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda app-developers app
I have the same problem. Does any one have a fix?
When you put your micro usb cable inside your note's usb port, does it wiggle? If so there is nothing else you can do, but to sent your phone to Samsung for warranty. They will fix the usb port and maybe even replace the motherboard. And remember don't wiggle aroubd your phone when it is on the charger or usb plug next time....
So I've had this phone for about a year now, the moment I got it I unlocked the bootloader, rooted it and flashed cyanfox (cm11 fork) onto it.
It's been serving me great ever since, no problems whatsoever with it.
But as of a few days back I found it with a black screen, unresponsive. I connected the charger and it light up the green led solid, tries to boot but can't get past the boot loader message
This continues in an almost endless loop until getting to a 'battery 1%' screen with it showing the battery. After that I'm able to boot it up without problem
I first thought that was the end of it.. I finally got it too boot all seemed fine, battery showed 3% at start up bit voltage was suggesting it was 100%. It flashed to 100% later.
Good, no problem until then. But when leaving it over night to charge and disconnecting it from the charger this morning it turned off again. And now it's back in the bootloop when on charger :crying:
also important to mention is that when it crashes and gets into the bootloop on charger(0% battery and all) it was at 50-100% before the crash.
If anyone has any ideas what might be the cause I'd be very thankful
Main problem(s):
-random crashes instantly rendering battery % as 0 while there is still charge
-getting atrix hd to turn on at <1% battery
Some maybe useful information:
-it does say 'battery OK' in fastboot while connected to the wallcharger
-after I get it to boot it will run just fine on battery and charge as normal, but will crash/brick again after some time
-I can get into boot selection screen and fastboot, but only on wallcharger
-I cannot get to fastboot when connected to use, pc doesn't see the phone
-It won't boot past the bootloader('Motorola logo' for you on not unlocked bootloaders) no matter the boot selection(recovery, bp tools etc)
-This is a second hand model already in use by me (the second owner) for over a year now
-no custom kernel, only rom, cyanfox 4.4.2 (cm11 based)
-the few times it got past the bootloop and I was able to boot was on my aftermarket charger (stock charger will make the green led light up but no proof of being able to get past bootloop over time on it)
I've had dead batteries before.. and since It looked good last time I got it on (it won't go on at all now) I was skeptic about the battery being dead. But a quick test of the multimeter gives me <1v :crying:
I know batteries can be drained pretty bad.. but this just seems a bit extreme.. I'll try to get it to boot for a while.
Thanks in advance for any helpful solutions or ideas on the matter
EDIT: Got it on again last night, turned off this morning when pulling out the charger, was at 100%. Checked battery and again read around 1V.
blaming the battery, ordered a new one just in case, should be here in a month or so. Still open for suggestions on the matter

Did you fix it somehow in the end?
My Atrix HD freezes after several minutes(sometimes even on wall charger). Bought new battery, tried to reset everything: usb storage, cash, system, factory reset. Went back to ROM I was using before(stable) but didn't help.

It ended up being the battery, all problems were gone after I changed the battery.
Which in the end wasn't so bad because I'd been wanting to upgrade my eb20 to an eb40
No Idea to what it could be in your case.
Everything working appart from that? no battery hickups or things not working properly?

"0% battery after crashes" that is what was happening in the begging, so I thought it is the battery. I changed it to UB40
but everything's got worse. With the new battery I have crashes even when the battery is almost full.(but not always, for example I can play movie from youtube normally, but when I try to send sms or something else it crashes ).
Hard to believe that there is something with the new battery(I have it just one week+It took a month to ship from ebay).
I tried to flash another ROM, but still have freezes.
Last thing sometimes battery charges normally but then suddenly jumps to ~100%. Now I try to flash Stock ROM, but eventually soft bricked the phone. (+had "battery low" in fastboot, while charging animation was saying 100%)
Where did you buy EB40?
____________________________________
It turned out that EB40 battery was bad, after replacing it with another one everything work
I have just bought an unlocked Xperia Z1 second-hand.
Seller said it sometimes goes out.
Model is C6903.
When it's on charger, phone doesn't go out. Strange thing is that it charges normally for about 6-7% regardless of the actual battery level, and after these few percentages it jumps to 100% even though some seconds ago it could have been at 17%.
This is strange in itself already, but wait.
When I get the phone off the charger, it acts normally. Battery starts discharging, the amount depends on the use.
After 6 minutes of 1080p Youtube, the battery is down to 92% from 100%. Well, it's not a good performance, but still it works.
And then, all of a sudden, it goes after around 8-10 minutes of battery time, no matter if I do something or not.
After going out, it is stuck in a bootloop, because it cannot sense enough charge in the battery to start. If i put it on charger, the bootloop remains. I have to do a hard reset using the red button next to the sim slot. And then, i put it on charger, offline charging starts, and it says around 55% battery. I start android (still on charger), and now it says 3% when booted into the system. After a restart (still on charger) it goes up to about 60%.
I don't really know what the problem can be. I have tested the issue several times, with sim in, without sim, with Sd in, without sd as well.
I have reflashed the original rom, tried 3 different versions (4.2.2 , 4.3 and 4.4.4), no use.
Tried different, custom kernels too, no use. Tried custom ROMs, no use.
Tried calibrating the battery with a program (deleted the batterystats.bin), no use.
Tried charging continously for 8+ hours, still the same happens.
I have tried different battery programs, they all said battery has good health (also Sony built-in test).
Battery programs said that while charging, battery is at 4.23V which is okay. When it's off charger, it slowly goes down from 4.2V to around 3.8V, and sometimes even below (the lowest I could see was 3.1V).
Battery specs: 3.8V and 3000mAh if it helps.
I think my battery could be defective, but it can also be the mobo. What should I do?
Have you tried a complete factory reset and or reflash of firmware?

I would have said to you to calibrate battery but you already did it...
So it must not be a software problem...Probably a hardware problem(I don't think the mo/bo has a problem but who knows ).Try sending it to service and probably they will replace your battery.
I don't think there is a major problem with your device
