i was looking at a way to either hide or remove the calander contact buttons on the bottom of the screen?
Find/Download AdvancedConfig And Open it and go to Menu -> Keymapping. You change them to be something else.

But I don't want remove my softkeys!
Can you help me?
Thanks in advance,

when using the shrink app the soft keys still are there you can access them by pressing the hard keys below where the soft keys were
start -> settings -> Today -> Items tab -> Uncheck HTCHomeplug
hope it helps.

How do you get rid of the bottom menu bar, or at least edit what is in there.

great question....anyone???
Wisbar advance can do this and is what i use. You can hide the softkey buttons and also customise the app bar at the bottom of the screen - ie remove it or add shortcut icons to applications. Software is not fre but allows alot of customisation.
For the price, $10, I think everyone should buy Wisbar Advanced. I've been using it since I bought a Wizard and love it. It cleans up the icons and fonts on the menus and adds a lot of options.

Is there an application that acts like a Windows Desktop Taksbar? something that can hide at the bottom of the screen ?
I'm having a problem getting my applications to close when I hit "X" it stays running and it's difficult to switch between apps... I'm hoping someone has some suggestions.
Thx.

Thanks, is it possible to have the open application list go vertical instead of sideways on the task bar? The more apps you have open the smaller the buttons get, makes it tough on the fingers...
TW,
If I understand correctly, this may be what you're looking for http://www.dinarsoft.com/handyswitcher/. You can map it to a hard button, in my case the "ok" button, and it will scroll down vertically. You can either close one or all running programs or switch between them. Hope this helps.

Does anyone know of a way to show the Vanilla Android Soft-Key Menu at the bottom and disable the capacitive buttons?

I actually just wrote up an article about how to disable the capacitive buttons
- http://www.androidexplained.com/galaxy-s6-disable-capacitive-buttons/
and I'm working on one for the software navigation too. I'll edit here with a link when it's published

Wow, thanks you're too kind. Hopefully the write-ups will help get you in the direction you were going for.
I'm always looking for feedback and tips/suggestions for new articles so feel free to comment or use the contact form to send an email at any time you think of something
I have done this to all my Samsung phones,,,is there a way to enable the menu softkey as well?

In the Pie Control application, there is a option to set a button as the menu key(it requires root access). So you could create a fourth button in the pie controls app or you could even set one of your pre-set buttons to execute the menu key when a long-press is detected on it
Cool is there a way to show the stock menu softkey without using pie?

Very nice but.......it makes double tab home button camera to stop working and night clock also gets messed up. Also it makes the phone detect like if there were a magnetic cover on it.
