hello all, i have a couple requests (most likely has to do with registry editing)
1: Hide the top bar (time, and stuff)
2: Have a big invisible x button to close programs (no need for stylus)
3: Hide bottom bar (calendar/contacts) but still be able to use the soft keys to access them
thanks a bunch in advanced
nice request
those are some nice request. but if someone even tries to cook this rom then we should think of giving them a donation for their work dont you think?

As taken from my guide:
Can I get rid of the "Contacts / Calendar" bar?
Dcino Bar is a great app to get rid of it. Simply place this app in your Windows/Startup folder, you can download it Here

you can still use the keys on the phone to access the "contacts or calendar"
thx a lot tyler, it worked great, is there anyway to make it invisible for all programs as well?
One of the Rom Cookers need to keep these ideas in mind...
Maybe have a version out which is fully powered by the touch cube and pocketCM default. Its becoming more smoother to use as a regular phone and I can see my calendar on the main screen!!!
i actually prefer a software solution rather than loading a new rom

The author of pocketCM asks that it not be included in ROMs.
Ugh... yes! I want a big x button so I don't have to turn my finger and slide it up in the corner to hit the x.
WM5 on the older PALM devices have the X button moved to the left so it's not up against the edge; can we do that on the thing by editing the registry somehow?

I use FTouchSL to do this. I made the top left active corner a close option so it closes the application thats open. You can set how many pixels it is & the amount of time it takes to activate. It works perfectly

A good battery status plug-in is a must have ......please help?
http://soft.photoracer.net/docs/wktask_en.html
i like the battery gauge, and it also comes withalot of other cool features
Hi:
Mt favorite is Vistahide Battery Gauge.
It is very simple and doesn't take up precious today screen space. It is the very thin colored line at the top of my screen (see attached screenshot), the line is much easier to see in person, the screenshot seems to cut it off a little bit. The line starts to disappear and get closer to the red side, as the battery drains, which makes it very easy to see how much you have left.
PS: If you're interested I'd be happy to post exe file for you.

Batti does this too, and i'm very happy with it. You can optimize it by changing some settings - uncheck "always on top" because it doesn't play nice with pocket IE, and i like to make it thinner and wider - by default it's like 8 pixels tall, and has a 30 or so pixel margin on the left - i make it 2 or 3 pixels tall and have no left or right margins. it also indicates charging, low battery, etc. it's very customizable and the settings are easy. it's also free.

Sounds cool, I'll check it out too. The only thing is if you don't have it on top, then I guess you don't lnow how much battery you have when using IE? Vistahide does work well with IE, and other programs.

Hi:
yes, vistahide is free.
Hi Mike:
I got your PM, here is the exe file for Vistahide battery gauge.
You just need to put the exe file on your phone, and click to run it. It will not install a program folder etc, so if You ever decide to ununstall it, you just delete the exe file from wherever you put it.
Also, if you want it to restart automatically after soft resets, you will need to make a shortcut of exe, and place it in Windows folder.
If you have any questions, just let me know
Hi, can you zip and post VistaHide here?

Not a programmer but I've worked through most adds to my Tilt. Got my TomTom working and the weather fixed on the HTC Home.
How do I make the shortcut of exe to put in windows? I love the gage and want it to always be there.

Hi, I gues if there is a task switcher to move from one opened apps to another without going to the home key... liche with the little drop down you have in the top right corner. Maybe I can access it even when it's not displayed but I don't know how...
thank you for the help...

Do you use it? Have you mapped it onto a hardware button?
(if so, how?!)
This tool was so useful for me on my Prophet... indeed it felt so integrated I forgot it wasn't part of the OS and was taken aback when I suddenly found it missing on the Diamond!

taski switcher - task manager
I'd rather prefer a task switcher - task manager like xperia panels (or like aspecto software's dynamo 2) with ehanced graphics and nice 3d view...
Would it be possible on diamond? anyone can develop something like that?
Cheers
The best task manager (IMHO) is without a doubt WKtask:
http://soft.photoracer.net/docs/wktask_en.html
Works just like windows then.. can switch between running apps quickly and easily with a single touch.

but only if you have the task bar in view.
ex: if you are in navigation full mode, then you haven't a taskbar. so how do you want to switch with obe single click ?
i use searching for a small tool which switch to all tasks with a hardware button - so it had to be a single programm which switch - it is not necessary to show windows, blabla, ---- only switch ...
if i found a perfect tool or another one guy - let me know - thanks
cu camel
The Alt-Tab feature of SPB Pocket Plus will be right up your street...
...however you may find it is a dead end thanks to the Diamond's dire hardware button facilities... not only there not that many of them but tapping into them appears to be full of troubles!
Mathew
spb plus - alt-tab also not working corect - it switch sometimes in different directions to the task
it's like
Task A,B,C,D,E
1.) first press A
if you press then in the short time next the hardware button then it's switch to B, C, aso
but if you wait 2 sec. then it's switching from C -> B -> A -> E
it's a little bit crazy
PLS: i talk about the "switch to next task" -> because this is almost perfect (relly fast, but wrong/serious directions)
I just got my Fuze last week and I have seen TONS of awesome threads (thanks XDA!) but I haven't come across anything solid to replace the task manager that came with the stock rom (I haven't installed a new rom because there isn't one that jumps out at me). I had Celetask on my Dash and loved it. Anyone have any suggestions/recommendations? While Celetask was awesome on the Dash, I don't really feel like paying for the English PPC version.
I'm using HandySwitcher.
How do you disable the stock one?
Looks like I am just going to have to live with it.

You can shut it off by going to Settings > System > Task Manager > Button. Uncheck both boxes and then you can install a variety of other task managers.
I am using Implicit Software's Task Manager and Switcher. I really like on my Fuze because I have a little button at the top of each screen that let's me switch to any open app. There is also the 3D task manager which you can assign to a hardware button and it will rotate to each task.
I use pBar - it's a great little task manager.
I personally like Wktask. It's light and very functional. You can set it to a hardware button (which can't be done with HTC X-button) and bring up a quicklauncher menu with things like Close, Close All, Toggle Data Conn, and programs from Start Menu.
WkTask is the best with no contest.... http://soft.photoracer.net/docs/wktask_en.html
And I see they have a new version out!!!
WkTask gives you running application buttons to your start bar, like in your normal windows pc. And thats among other things and functions it does....
Ditto for WkTask

I like Wktask, but it has a strange quirk to it when TF2D or TF3D is enabled. In the task bar, there is a generic window icon that I can't seem to remove or hide when Wktask is enabled. Does anybody else have this problem?

tap and hold on it and click "hide always"
A while back, i started off with the HTC Task Manager and then switched to Wisbar Lite. With HTC's neweset Task Manager, i went with it instead of Wisbar Lite.
Are there any finger-friendly solutions other than the HTC manager?
WKTask's built in brightness control doesn't work on Raphael, at least not when I tested a few weeks back. Anybody have luck getting that to work?
EDIT: version 1200a brightness control works!

Hey guys,
Here is the promised fix for the TF3D landscapemode. This is for english ROMs only. For any other language you have to fix the Program Files paths.
This SHOULD work on any english ROM with TF3D.
1. Install cmEXlandscape.cab
2. Install SecondToday.cab
3. Softreset
Note that this is only a WORKAROUND, so there may be minor bugs, but in general it should work fine.
http://rapidshare.com/files/183521003/cmEX_landscape_WWE.rar
---> Don't close Second Today. Best if you add it to the exclusive list of the HTC Taskmanager.
bye
Ah, that's interesting indeed... Will try it out. Thanks
what exactly does this workaround?
tnx for your work
A step in the right direction anyway...works reasonably well.
Very Nice!
I'll give it a shot later today

ehm... I mean what tecnically does. How it works
running secondtoday with rltoday in background. mortscripts makes it active windows when device is put into landscape and minimized when going back to portrait.
What happens when I will minimize all windows (red button press)?? What if I am not using the TF3D Panel (for whatever reason)
It will minimize SecondToday if you press the HangUp button. Not running TF3D won't run the script at all.

No, TF3D is running all the time.
Slow? Not really. Not much slower than on a Touch Pro.
Perfect Works like a charm!
I find myself sliding my keyboard out much more often now. Heh
EDIT: Donation sent =)
first of all sorry for my english
and this is a great application!!
i added second today in exclusive task manager list,
But.. every time i slide out the keyboard to landscape mode it always kick back to portrait mode.
i soft reset then tried again and it works in landscape (but sometimes still kick back to portrait) and when i slide in back to portrait it show me a weird today screen (see attached file)
could u help me to find the solution chalid?
thanks in advance
cheers

Understood.
Is it possible that Jack's V1.06 ROM does not work with this workaround?
If anyone is using these .cabs with Jack's, please shout it out! We'd most likely have an answer then.
This does not work with the TF3D Panel... does it?
