WM6 Recognize Phone Numbers in Calendar?

Has anyone discovered a way to get WM6 Pro to recognize phone numbers in calendar entries, and make them clickable links? It seems that the smartphone version has the functionality, but the Pro/PocketPC version does not. Pretty lame, if you ask me.
Anyone think it's possible to create a cab/utility that enables it?
You can enter tel:123-456-7898 in the notes area and it will create a link similar to smartphone.
Still looking for something like this for the location line in the calendar.

I tried this and it doesn't seem to want to call. Any tips? It sounds so simple it is hard to see how I could have mucked it up...
I have had to enter a space or a hard return after the telephone number to get the link to work.
I desperately need this too!
Is there a utility/hack out there that will do this? As the original poster said, this is available on Smartphones! I can't believe MSFT didn't implement this!
While I'm at it, how about a feature that can detect Access or Pass codes for teleconferences? In other words, if the number appears as 1-866-000-0000 PC:12345 it should automatically dial 1866000000,,12345#
This is basic stuff that this OS should have... What a downer.
If you type in 'tel:' directly before number you should see the link, eg. tel:123765887

6.1 SMS to iPhone

I am going to have to evaluate an iPhone in work as we maybe getting them, however I need to work out how I can export my text/sms/mms mesages from my phone into a format where I can then import them into the iphone.
Any help is appricated
I am also using one of Duttys ROMs
Not going to happen . There is no cross-platform software that will allow you to take text messages from the Tilt to an iPhone. And MMS isn't even supported on the iPhone...
I know MMS support was vacant on the iPhone, oh well I guess the directors can't have their sms messages moved
Kimbie
Hey i can do mms on my iphone, and not the email way. anyways yeah theres no way of importing the messages from one platform to another. I guess just write them down or something.

That's like saying "Remote Desktop is not supported on stock AT&T tilts."
Me: I have it working.
You: That's cause you hacked it.
No matter how it works... it works.

I disagree, I had to install a cab (which is free from MS) to get remote desktop on my kaiser (which is allowed by the MS EULA, and is within US laws. It is not against ATT's TOS either). Just because they hid it on you, doesn't mean you can't use it.
I also had to flash a hacked firmware / activation crack to get my iphone hacked to install any third party software. Unfortunately this is against Apple's EULA, and the law if you live in the US, and I am sure ATT would be pissed about it too, somewhere in their TOS.
I'm not saying most people care about these things, I am saying that they are different, especially for business users.
Apple is a closed platform compared to WM.
Windows Mobile is meant for people to install all the 3rd-party programs they wish. The iPhone isn't, and needed to be hacked to "allow" it. Not much more to say, no comparison can stand.

Bring On Google Earth Already

Hey Guys,
Does anyone know if google will be releasing google earth for the touch pro/diamond? I can only assume the reason they hadn't yet developed google earth for windows mobile because there wasn't any phones that were strong enough to run it. Well, pretty sure our phones can run this now.
The iphone has it as does android at least I think android does.
Here's a link to the ap for the iphone.
http://www.google.com/mobile/apple/earth.html
Hopefully they have already developed it and its just a matter of releasing it. I used it on my fiances iphone and its awesome! Take not I am NOT talking about googlemaps.... I'm talking about google earth!
What is wrong with satellite view and the search option of Google Maps??
They (google/ms) need to fix VGA support b4 releasing a new program. I cant standit how small the roads and texts come out. Also, you can't zoom in as far as you could in a nonvga screen. And no, its not a VGA issue. If google wanted to, they could zoom in ALOT more, just that the picture would be pixelated. But they actually stop the ammount of zoom.

Hmm, I have the same zoom levels on my pc as I have on my Raphael.
(comparing them at this moment, it's just the screen size that makes a difference, the area shown on a 23" is much larger )
Well with google earth on the iphone it actually uses the accelorometer so when you tilt the phone the picture will actually tilt on the phone too. It's pretty neat. You can see that feature in the video on that page. Regardless I just would like google earth on the PPC as opposed to google maps.

Searching for applications

Hello. I have been searching the internet, without any luck though of finding the programs i want.
First, i want a program, like ShopSavvy is for the Android, where i can use it on my touch pro to scan barcodes of products and find the best price.
Second, i am wondering if there is a way to have Google Street View on the touch pro. I have already seen KDKobes Google Maps Street View 2.3.1, from our forum. I was wondering though if there is an "official" or "fully working" program, as in KDJobes program unfortunately, location-data support and GPS integration aren’t working with this version of Google Maps.
Third, i want a program, like I-phone has, for Drinks (bartender?), same cool skins and graphics environment maybe?
Fourth, again like I-phone has a program where you record a song on the phone and then it goes through the internet and finds you possible matches.
Please, bare with me, as i a m new and maybe i didn't have enough luck or "easiness" finding these type of programs i want. Yes maybe i saw some "looking like them but weren't afterwards the programs i wanted, cause their functionality wasn't after all what i was searching for and was mislead by their Title Name.
So if you please know any "freeware/ or have to buy" programs that are exaclty as the one's i have described please feel free to post and tell me.
Thank you very much in advance,
Chris
let's see
1. barcode readers:
i-nigma barcode reader
QuickMark 3.3
Aura - but donno if this still works.....
2. Street view is officially supported by the latest Google Maps
http://www.google.com/mobile/default/maps.html
3. didn't heard of such a program for wm
4. i know a program it's called Music ID
hope that helps try to search harder next time
search diamond beer for a drink app that turns your phone into a glass of alcohol , if you mean a bartender then just do more searching also the site Fuzemobility.com is now your best friend go there all the time look at everything there . if you still haven changed ROMS on your phone i suggest you go get NRG's new winmo6.5 build 3.0 ROM . it has alot of improvements over the stock ROM , anymore questions just ask me
Is there an app that uses the GPS to track how much you've cycled and your speed etc? I think such apps exist for the iPhone but I'm looking for something for windows mobile.
gotta love fuzemobility lol

Just giving you a heads up don't go looking for everything that the Iphone has for your phone. Most of the time it will not be there. on to you questions
Shop savvy is a great program. Our closest thing is "Barcoroma"
Google street view. I use google maps from NRG'z Rom and I can get street view on it.
Drinks IDK your on you own for this one
Song recognition. Well try out Music ID works great for me.

Where does everyone go to get there the PPC software?
I go to http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com/en/index.php, although its not complete list and new releaase of an application can take a couple of days to make it to thier site. I find the site easy to navigate and search. The catagories and rating system help for filtering.
about the drink mix
i suggest watching this topic http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=496880&highlight=drinks
perhaps something will be done.

TFL London Tube Updates / Route Finder

Hi guys ...
anybody know a good software which basically provides you with the information / service you normally get on the TFL website? I m not just looking for an app that tells you if there is good service on all lines but ideally an app where u can ask how to get from A to B and it shows you which tube or bus to take.
I googled for it and there are quite a few apps. from different companies and they all cost money too. Anybody know an alternative? If you think about it all you need is a application that connects to the search function of the tfl website.
would be a cool panel too if somebody wants to write it.
Let me know
