Hi guys ...
anybody know a good software which basically provides you with the information / service you normally get on the TFL website? I m not just looking for an app that tells you if there is good service on all lines but ideally an app where u can ask how to get from A to B and it shows you which tube or bus to take.
I googled for it and there are quite a few apps. from different companies and they all cost money too. Anybody know an alternative? If you think about it all you need is a application that connects to the search function of the tfl website.
would be a cool panel too if somebody wants to write it.
Let me know
metro is free

Hello,
I'm using the Trial Version of the "Ultimate Search" Application ( http://www.gx-5.com/products/ultimatesearch ) and I really like it. It's a great help in my everyday situations when I want to search for something real quick.
Sadly the Application is more or less designed for the US. Dictionary, News, Movies, etc. functions are searching on US-specific sites, so that I cant use those functions as a German. The bad thing about the application is, that you cant edit the sites the program searches at.
Would it be illegal to modify the program? Does anybody know how to do that,... so that for somefunctions the sites can be edited?
Best
Don
Go ahead and mess around with the program. That's really what this forum is all about.
what are you trying to say?
I'm not asking for something illegal here! ...it would just be nice to be able to tell the program at what sites it is supposed to search at,... so that people outside the USA can use the full potential of the program also. Is there anything wrong with that?
Has anyone heard of ViPR. its suppose to be able to scan an image and search for it on the internet. its said that its available of cell phones in japan. is there a was we can get this on wm devices?
Link to Video of ViPR
Hmm so I could take a pic of a McDonalds sign and then it would google that or something?
yes they have versions of it for the iphone, And from what i read microsoft has it too but i dont know where to exactly find it. i did find a demo of ViPR but it only works with a few types cameras.
Is sadly not available on the HTC Diamond as yet. This was confirmed to me by Orange today. So yes it appears that all Orange Diamonds have just had generic HTC branding on them. No idea from them either when the device will support TV services...
This may be a repeat thread if it is, does anyone else know any more about this.
Orange TV
It is available. Have tried free channel when on 3G. You have to find a link from the orangeworld.co.uk homepage to mobile TV, not always easy. The lack of orange software means there's no link preloaded but once you find it you can save it as a Bookmark on Opera. Its a very long address otherwise.
and the link is?
Yes. Link please
orange theme
its the one with the floating clock
i have just tryed to attach to this but fails
if you want it pm me with email and ill send it to you
Link or screen which should lead you there is www.orangeworld.co.uk/r/orangetv/
Try that on Opera and click around from there.
Try it a few times. It doesn't always seem keen to let you in. Orange Customer Services couldn't tell me the address.
I think the link should be
http://orangeworld.co.uk/r/orangetv/
but I just get a 'link not' recognised.
Thats it! Works fully well but glitchy and intermittent. I think mobile tv has been intermittently allowing access. More than just address issues.
Can imagine they are still testing the system so allowing connections like you say. I'm personally looking forwards to when Orange start broadcasting Mobile HD, continental european Orange users have had this for a while..

Wont this just kill your download limit for the month?

Also interesting...
the link in previous posts now does work on my device (latest rom also installed). Sorry to see the video is a paltry 177x144px and 128kbps stream. Pretty unwatchable and not really worth the subscription to be fair.
Hello. I have been searching the internet, without any luck though of finding the programs i want.
First, i want a program, like ShopSavvy is for the Android, where i can use it on my touch pro to scan barcodes of products and find the best price.
Second, i am wondering if there is a way to have Google Street View on the touch pro. I have already seen KDKobes Google Maps Street View 2.3.1, from our forum. I was wondering though if there is an "official" or "fully working" program, as in KDJobes program unfortunately, location-data support and GPS integration aren’t working with this version of Google Maps.
Third, i want a program, like I-phone has, for Drinks (bartender?), same cool skins and graphics environment maybe?
Fourth, again like I-phone has a program where you record a song on the phone and then it goes through the internet and finds you possible matches.
Please, bare with me, as i a m new and maybe i didn't have enough luck or "easiness" finding these type of programs i want. Yes maybe i saw some "looking like them but weren't afterwards the programs i wanted, cause their functionality wasn't after all what i was searching for and was mislead by their Title Name.
So if you please know any "freeware/ or have to buy" programs that are exaclty as the one's i have described please feel free to post and tell me.
Thank you very much in advance,
Chris
let's see
1. barcode readers:
i-nigma barcode reader
QuickMark 3.3
Aura - but donno if this still works.....
2. Street view is officially supported by the latest Google Maps
http://www.google.com/mobile/default/maps.html
3. didn't heard of such a program for wm
4. i know a program it's called Music ID
hope that helps try to search harder next time
search diamond beer for a drink app that turns your phone into a glass of alcohol , if you mean a bartender then just do more searching also the site Fuzemobility.com is now your best friend go there all the time look at everything there . if you still haven changed ROMS on your phone i suggest you go get NRG's new winmo6.5 build 3.0 ROM . it has alot of improvements over the stock ROM , anymore questions just ask me
Is there an app that uses the GPS to track how much you've cycled and your speed etc? I think such apps exist for the iPhone but I'm looking for something for windows mobile.
gotta love fuzemobility lol

Click to collapse
theres an app called track my run floating somewhere between here and fuzemobility.com
Just giving you a heads up don't go looking for everything that the Iphone has for your phone. Most of the time it will not be there. on to you questions
Shop savvy is a great program. Our closest thing is "Barcoroma"
Google street view. I use google maps from NRG'z Rom and I can get street view on it.
Drinks IDK your on you own for this one
Song recognition. Well try out Music ID works great for me.

Where does everyone go to get there the PPC software?
I go to http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com/en/index.php, although its not complete list and new releaase of an application can take a couple of days to make it to thier site. I find the site easy to navigate and search. The catagories and rating system help for filtering.
about the drink mix
i suggest watching this topic http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=496880&highlight=drinks
perhaps something will be done.
Hey,
next week I visit NYC and I'm searching for an app which doesn't need internet access but can help me in the big city
Normally you can use Google maps, but I'm from Europe so it will be very expensive to download the maps etc. It is possible to get a GPS navigation with hints like restaurant, clubs etc? A metro plan and other stuff?
regards,
ne0n
What phone do you have?
Sorry, I forgot it. I have a HTC Touch Pro 2.
I would suggest TomTom for wimo. Its nice and easy to use, however it is not free. If your looking at saving the wallet, try EarthComber. (google earthcomber windows mobile)
It's free, works well and is pretty straight forward. However its not a digital travel guide, its GPS software with POI's.
If you need a metro guide just download a separate app, I do not know of any offhand and anything I would suggest would just be from google results, and searching yourself is half the fun!
Other than that, you are not going to run out of things to do. A computer or friend is going to be your best bet if you want to find things that interest you, but if you need reviews or suggestions check out Yelp!
The only thing your phone is going to be able to do is find out how to get there from your hotel.
Best of luck and safe travels!
