Open Touch was my first rom and I've stuck with it since. Very Stable and Fast! I'm currently running ver 4.0 lite and I love it.
I second that, open touch is absolutely amazing. If you dont want to miss any apps, then go for the biggy. Good luck
Any and all of the roms fit your preferences. There is an automatic configuration program that works wonders.
If you are really picky, you can make your own rom with either Ivan's EasyBakeOven or hypercore.

Hi. I am using EnergyROm for quite some time now and i think it runs out of memory very quickly
I want to flash my HTC Diamond with a more stable and recent ROM, wich one you guys recomend to me.
Thank you in advance.
Morssa
It's really hard to recommend a ROM because there area lot of great ROMs out there, the best thing to do is read through the threads in the ROM section and see what other users have to say.
Fast + Light

Yeah..thats difficult to choose the most stable n fastest ROM for diamond. Trying is believing..Just try some ROM and get your answer..

or you can see the pietrulli benchmark.

Does anybody has this rom?

???
just wondering what roms you would recomend, thinking of darkys extreme?
any good?
cheers
Never used Darky's rom so cant really comment on that, but i use docs, excellent rom and so easily customisable in the rom kitchen. highly recommended
ok cheers mate, i had darkys 8.0 and that was good but i see his new one is out n thought i would see what everyone thinks? hmmm descissions, i have been running "all in one" rom which is also good but im a serial flashers n never satisfied lol
Now i'm using Darky9.0.2 Extreame Edition it's pretty good even if i still not use lag fix so It's very very stable and faster than stock rom.So now I applied with SpeedmodK12Q (latest) and it's so good with enable with TWeak All.
Kitchen build your own .

Hi salmanrkr,
If it's speed, stability & battery backup is what you are looking for...then stick on to your stock ROM..believe me it's the best...
Also, you need not have to flash your ROM to run an Android in your X1....You can boot Android from within the Windows Mobile by having the Android OS files in your SD card...Basically there are 2 different types of Androids..one which require an ext2 partition(which is more faster) & one which doesn't need any partition(which is easier to run)
It seems that you are a fresher...so better try the second type..the one which doesn't need any partition...I recommend for you the F1Froyo 2.2.1 .Visit the following thread for the description and download link...(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=844033)
Do keep in mind that Android for X1 is still under development..so don't hope for a bug free and stable android for X1..
And if you really want to Flash a new ROM for X1, you can try the 826x series ROM...or the Energy ROM..both are Windows 6.5 Build with slight difference in Interface..Both have Sense, a cool interface seen in HTC Devices...visit the following threads for the description & download link..
for 826x series ROM-(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=734175)
for Energy ROM -(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=562935)
Note : You can have your Custom ROM + Android in your X1....Also plz do keep a backup of your Stock ROM before flashing your device with a Custom ROM..
Hope this helps...
Thanx alot!
But which files to be downloaded? its lil mixed up!

I have tried both the builds...and from my experience i found the second one i.e. F1 Froyo .2.2.1 more faster & Stable.
So my recommendation for you is the F1 Froyo 2.2.1..
Here is the direct link to F1 Blog, where you can download the original file : http://f1series.blogspot.com/2011/01/f1-froyo-221.html
Thnx & Regards...

great answer , cleared all my doubt also. very neat
hi,
whats up?
ok so i have darkys rom v9.4 and i want to try a new rom called pilotx because im not really happy with the battery life and speed, and i got a little bored
so anyway, im kindda new to this flashing thing and i dont want my phone to become unusable for the next days so i wanted to know how to change roms the quickies and painless way possible.
do i just copy the files to the sd card, wipe and then install with recovery?
thanx
yes that is what you do BUT !!!
also remove the lagfix (if applied) before flashing the new ROM
Ok thanx.
So when do I need to use Odin?
And is miui a good rom for the sgs? Do you recommend it?
i use MIUI now and its awesome !!!
it has a few bugs still but is more than stable for day to day use.
biggest issue is battery life - its about 1 full day with heavy use. 2 days with normal use.
you MUST follow the instructions perfectly, it can be a little tricky but will definately be worth it.
Hi, i have DHD and this is my first request!....after a OTA's upgrade on gingerbread, i downgrade my device with this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=905003 and i've 2.2.
Now what i've to do? i need a rom stable and fast, simple and without many effects, but essential, that allows me to have a long battery usage. I would also increase the wifi reception of the DHD...
What do you recommend me to install and wich guides to follow?
Thanks but I'm really inexperienced!
The most common answer: Read the different ROM threads and try some.
But my advice to your requirements is to try mike1986's Gingerbread release.
Stable, Up2date, ready for daily use..
You will find the thread on your own ;-)
ok very thanks, but i'm a new by....and this world is too big and new for me!...i don't know what to looking for, and where....
did you suggest to me mike1986's Gingerbread release....there are other ones?

Well bro let me tell.few things...as u r new
1. The most stable rom u can hv isby coredroid v 6.3 and its preety sleek andwith htc sense.
2. No matter what dt play with anythng flashing radio etc...

http://www.dkszone.net/downgrade-htc-desire-hd-from-1.72-1.75-firmware-to-1.32.405.6
i followed this many times..... and it works like charm....after achieveing rooting... then install rom manager clockworkmod and backup the device in this stock stage...then copy the coredroid 6.3 rom and rock the show.....
