Tilt will not vibrate on incoming call!! - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

For some reason, my tilt will not vibrate when I receive a call. I have it enabled in the sounds. I have done some things in the registry that could have screwed it up. Is there anything I should to make sure I have or does anyone know what I can do? Thanks.

Next time, make a back-up before you mess with the registry just in case you have problems. Revert back! (Hard reset maybe)

When I go to the comm manager, I can change the sound to vibrate but the phone doesn't vibrate. The speaker picture turns into the phone vibrating picture but there isn't any physical vibrating. I don't know what is going on.

TyTN2 going silent

Hello all,
I have noticed the following problem lately on my TyTN2 (original Norwegian ROM): After a while, the phone goes silent. It doesn't vibrate or ring when I receive messages and phone calls.
This seems to apply only to the ring/SMS tones. It plays sound files fine, and I am able to make a phone call.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any solution?

Check that you didn't change the settings in the Sounds and Notifications settings menu.
Make sure that under the Sounds Tab the Programs box is checked along with the Notifications box.
I forgot to mention that after a soft reset, it's back to normal.
It seems like the settings aren't changed.

Many Problems with Kaiser

Hi,
Good day, I have HTC Kaiser with official Windows 6.1.
My problems are :
1 ) Sometimes when my phone ring and I reject the call it doesn't reject it. it keeps ringing until the network disconnect this call. I solve this problem by soft-reset.
2 ) I need to change the default input method from Arabic-Keyboard to English-Keyboard. I did this some time ago but it return back to Arabic.
3 ) I sync my mobile at home and work. Every time I have to uncheck Contacts form sync menu and check it again to make sync work.
4 ) It's not a problem but I bought a bluetooth hands-free device and I would like to know what's the best way to use it, is it by turn device bluetooth on all the time. I need some tips a bout this.
Thanks a lot.

How are you attempting to reject the call? If you press the red hangup button when the call comes in but the phone keeps ringing and the call doesn't go through to your voicemail box, it may be a faulty button on the phone as that button should silence any incomming call.

If you have the HTC official ROM in World Wide English (WWE) that includes an English keyboard so if your settings aren't sticking, a hard reset may be the quickest way to solve the problem.
3 ) I sync my mobile at home and work. Every time I have to uncheck Contacts form sync menu and check it again to make sync work.

See if the above hard reset has any effect on this too. As I only use Activesync for file transfer, I cant help with that one.

If you're expecting to receive calls through it all the time then you need to have the TyTN IIs bluetooth enabled all the time, how else is it going to communicate with the phone otherwise? To anticipate your next question, yes that uses lots of battery power so you may need a spare battery or two when you're out and about handsfree (or you could just use the wired headset that came with the phone for no additional battery drain).
As for the ring vs vibrate and ring, if you've setup a customised ring for certain individuals, that would explain why it behaves differently when a call comes in from one person compared to another. Are these sim contacts or outlook contacts?

Hi, when I want to reject the call I mute the phone by using the wheel button then press the red button "reject button" or touch the screen on "reject" word. None of the above work. They all failed. The phone not ringing but the call doesn't end. This happen from time to time. Not always.

Yes, my ROM is WWE and I installed FJE application and I want the default input method to be Keyboard.

[Sprint] Ring & Vibrate no longer sticks

Hi,
since the new ROM upgrade for Sprint Diamonds I have an annoying problem: In Sounds & Notifications I set my Phone to "Ring and Vibrate" on incoming call. Each time I do a soft reset, it sets itself back just "Ring".
It's bugging the heck out of me, since if I forget to set it again, I don't know someone is calling when it's in my pocket.
I looked at the registry and only found ways to make ring, then vibrate or visa-versa. But I need to to vibrate the whole time it rings.
Can anyone help me with this?
Thanks!
I too have the exact same problem... Any ideas yet?

Stopped ringing - avoid hard reset?

My O2 XDA Ignito (Touch Diamond) has stopped ringing. No ring or vibrate on incoming calls, despite these being enabled. Selecting to change the ringtone gives me a preview which the sound works fine on. No selected ringtone will work though. It doesn't work after a soft reset.
Didn't stop working after anything other than normal use. Have the standard ROM and Slide To Unlock and a few other programs but otherwise pretty standard.
Anyone know of a quick fix avoiding a hard reset?
Im not sure about the Ignito but i had the same on my Orange Diamond and it turned out, quite simply, to be the ring volume setting in the settings menu. Scroll all the way along to the last but one tab and its under the sound settings. Ive noticed that mine has a tendency after while to set itself to zero, it seems to be after its been set to silent for a period of time!
