Title Bar Date - Tilt, TyTN II, MDA Vario III General

The date on the title bar of my today screen doesnt show up right and I'm wondering how to change it. For example, today's date shows up as "5/14/0" rather than 5/14 or 5/14/08.
How do I fix this? I think its a registry issue. Also, this problem isnt ROM-specific.

start settings system regional settings

Thanks for responding. I actually tried that but it doesnt really resolve the issue. For some reason, the title bar isnt allowing enough space for the date to complete. I'm thinking it must be a registry issue.

try to edit the registry:
HKLM\nls\overrides
edit the SSDte value to ddd, MMM dd, yyyy
note:
dd - date
ddd - day (i.e. Wed)
dddd - day (i.e. Wednesday)
MMM - Month
yyyy - Year
then restart
you can make it shorter if you don't write the yyyy
i think we dont need to know the year

True. I'm willing to do w/o the year. Its weird that the last digit wont show tho. I take it nobody else has that problem?

How to Change Upper Battery Meter?

Alright it is getting on my nerves... I would much rather have a clock there than a battery meter.
Does anyone know how to change the battery meter back to a clock while on the today screen? This is the first time I am seeing this, on the new QTEK ROM that is, before I had a stock 8125, and I like this ROM but I don't like that one little thing. So if anyone knows how to fix it I would really appreciate it
Later; Lew
In future put question marks at the end of thread titles unless you actually do have the answer.
that's part of the AKU2 rom. i truly don't understand what the deal is, the clocks is RIGHT there below it. i like the new icon just the way it is.
the deal is that the clock, for many, is actually not visible - last time I checked some screenshots of it
And yes, they added the clock to the Date item for the Today Screen - but then that now takes up 2 lines, etc. etc. no point in re-hashing it
Thing is - some people like it, some people don't. The latter group is looking for a solution
I must say this ROM is worth dealing with it, but the reason I dont liek it is because my today screen image sometimes makes it hard to see the white clock, where as in the taskbar its on a solid background.
I will make note of the question mark statment, sorry for getting hopes up
LAter; Lew
You can atleast set the clock to show up in the battery meter's place while in other programs than the today screen.
Settings - System - Clock and Alarms - More then Check the box.
yeah, had to check that option in the past anyway (at least on my stock Qtek 9100) to get the clock to show up in all apps. But it's still annoying that it effectively disappears once you're on the Today screen. What if you don't use the new date/time plugin (for whatever reason) or any other time indicator? Now you have nowhere to look on your PPC for the time when it's on the Today Screen. Remember the little registry edit to put the date in the taskbar clock, with the byline "so you can get rid of the date item on your Today screen and free up space" ? Well, not anymore.
If nothing else, they should have made it an option somewhere.. possibly they did and we're just yet to find the registry setting that does it, but who knows :|

Poor question about battery icon top bar

Hello guys! there's anyone know a way to delete the icon battery on the top bar? I have installed batti 2.2 so now I dont need this battery icon (that sometimes appear and disappear while I use the pda).
thanks
stefano
what a pity! No tweaks, right (for now)?
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Shell\ShowTitleBarClock
value="1" Time
value="2" Date
value="3" Date and Time
value="0" Nothing
When "3" also only Time
When key is not there, create it.
hello! thank you for your help but I had already test this tweak but without any effect. I had put the 3 value but nothing.
tnx
stefano
option "3" date and time doesn/t work
Create key:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell]
"TBOpt"=hex:\
13,00,00,00
Works fine on diamond.
13 does give date and time (other values do different things I forget - search!)
Set date format in settings/system/region, else there's another key you can edit to set your own custom format:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\nls\overrides]
"SSDte"="dd/MM"
"SDate"="."
"SCrcy"="R"
"IDate"="1"
"LCID"=dword:00000809
"S2359"="pm"
"S1159"="am"
Requires a reset to see changes - but diamond reset is pretty fast and u pretty much have to do it every day anyway...
PS: I set d.M as my format, but see a square (or part) after the month. Can reduce with spaces after the M, but it's not great. Any ideas on how to get a clean d/M, or d.M, or non truncated d-MMM format?
PPS: Search the forum if you don't know how to use a registry editor...
Thank you! Please, there's a value to remove the icon battery without substitute it with the date and hours?
bye!!!
stefano
Hi,
I use Resco Reg editor and I just want to know how you create that :
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell]
"TBOpt"=hex:\
13,00,00,00
If I create it as a key, i will have [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Shell\TBOpt]
and then, how I create the value 13,00,00,00
Is it a DWORD key on hex ?
It doesn't work for me sorry
You can use Advanced config for this. Search for this program and there will be an option to choose what you want(clock, date, time etc).

yeah, I looked, but it's okai if you want change the battery icon to date icon... but just dont remove the icon... It's strange

Use Advanced Config. 2.2 works with Diamond
nothing... I have already try this option of adv conf... but if I set "NO", the icons battery doesnt disappears!
thanks
stefano
Are there any small .cabs that remove the battery icon and replace it with the time? I would rather not install advance config that can change 200 things for this one little tweak.
i would like to see the battery/clock/sound icons out there.
SO silly to have a sound tray icon...since you access it with hard button.
Battery, there is much bette options than the default one.
Clock, well...

Xperia keep reverting time 2 hours back

Since dayligth saving time switch (or whatever is that called in english), my xperia keeps rolling back time two hours behind.
I set rigth time or use timesync, but after some time, clock rolls back 2 hours ago.
Please help, my X1 is now unusable as alarm clock.
have you synced it with your pc?
yes, but time changes when it's not connected to pc.
Look in Settings/Phone/Time Zones.
Is the option "automatic change time zone and clock" off?
There is no that option in my rom.
Look in a registry editor for nitz
There should be two locations
HKLM\Software\OEM\PhoneSetting ShowNitzPage = 1 in DWord
This one probably set to 0, therefore you don't see the option.
HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL NITZEnable = 1 in DWord
This one is the key that enables/disables the actual setting.
ShowNitzPage is already 1, but there is no tab for time zone.
Option is disabled.
Also, timezone dont get changed. It always stays at +1, just clock is reverting.
Anyway, seems it fixed by itself rigth now (clock didn't changed for hours), but what exactly causes that? I remember seeing simmilar thread on X1 forum, which means i'm not alone.
That has happened two times ot me and I never figured what was the reason. It fixed itself both times...
Problem happened again today and i figured out that i was lazy and didnt set xperioid clock and it seems it changed WM clock to its time which was wrong.

[Q] 24 hour clock?

Hey there,
I just got my Topaz back from warranty as the digitizer was "broken".
They reinstalled a new ROM, which seems to be quite good for a stock ROM.
Anyhow, I went to Settings->Regional to change the clock to 24 hours (hate pm/am) and for some reason, it's all greyed out. As in, I cannot click it at all.
Any idea?
What's the value of:
HKLM\\nls\overrides\STFmt
'Hmm where can I check this HKLM\\nls\overrides\STFmt?
Through registry, using a registry editor.
h:mm:ss tt
Try to change it to:
HH:mm:ss
The 24 Hour thingy is now ticked in Settings, but it's still pm/am clock...
Have you made soft reset?
Yup, done a soft reset, still the same in Sense clock.
Have you deleted the "tt"?
Try also:
H:mm:ss
I've set it to hh:mm:ss and now it works.
Just, if for example the time is 08 in the morning, it won't display the 0. Yet, when it's after 12:00, as in 13:00, it will display fine.
Thanks for your answer.
Write "HH", not "hh" and delete "tt", if you haven't done it yet.
Use
hh:mm for 12Hours clock
HH:mm for 24Hours clock <-Case Sensitive
tt means AM/PM
H = No leading Zero (8:05)
HH = Leading Zero (08:05)
Registry Editor: here or here.

[Q] Date Format

Hi .. just curious on this one.
If you pull down the quick notification area on the top left area there is the time, day and date info displayed.
Just curious to know if there is anyway to change the date format here? I have changed the system date format to date, month but it's showing as month, date instead on this area. Others are ok.
Thanks a bunch!!

It can't be change while rooted your device.
you might be disasemble framework.apk and change xml properties connecting notifications date format.
Thanks .. I guess I'll just stick to the current format.
But strange why the date format is not universal across the device.
