I got everything working the way I want on my new Tilt. I already created a thread about email not working and I have already been helped on that one (thanks again).
Since then, I decided to use a new rom (Schaps WM6Pro Kaiser 4.21 WWE Full). I am really liking it.
First thing I noticed is that AT&T's Media NET connection was no more, it showed up as CingularGPRS. Although all the settings were right and I think I have everything setup right (data works great, SMS/MMS, incoming/outgoing email, incoming/outgoing phone calls).
But the voicemail isn't working. Phone rings about 12 times, and instead of going to vmail, the caller gets a "The cellular customer you are trying to reach is unavailable, please try your call again" message.
If I press ignore on the phone, the caller gets a busy tone.
I tried searching (really, I did) and didn't find anything.
Any ideas on how to set up voicemail?
Thanks in advance for any help.
My VM got messed up after AT&T renewed my contract and updated my account. Call customer support, I called them last night.
Voicemail is a carrier issue unless you have the wrong number set to dial your voicemail??

I would have no idea what number its supposed to dial.
But thanks for the help, I will give AT&T support a call and have them fix it.
BTW, is this something I did by messing with the phone, or was it probably not set up from the get go? i picked up the phone a few days ago and never received a voicemail and only found out today because a friend called and got that weird message so he texted me instead. Just dont want them accusing me of any
I have the same problem when ignore (red button) a incomming call.
It works good when I don't pick up, then it goes to voicemail after 30 seconds, but when I push the red button it give a busy tone...
Does someone know a sollution for this?
I have the right number in the voicemailbox settings...
Hi,
I have a CDMA Touch from Telus Mobility in Canada.
The issue I am having is # rings with incoming calls.
I am using latest Jawbone Bluetooth headset, when I have an incoming call, I receive 2 rings and calls goes to voice mail.
I have called HTC Support and Telus support, they have no solution.
Is there a setting to modify the number of rings for incoming calls?

If you're talking about the number of rings before the voicemail kicks in, yes there is a solution if your phone number is in Alberta or BC.
I dont know what Alberta or BC is...
but on my phone i do it like this...
Start->Settings->click phone->'Services(dono if it's called this, second tab)
There is a list, in that list there should be (again, dono the english word) 'forward to'
click Get Settings...
now u can set the number of secunds before it connects the call to voicemail..
with the intervals 5,10,15,20,25,30 seconds (at least with my phone provider)
hope this helps
thanks nisse thats very helpfull.
by the way forward to is call forwarding.
Excellent!!

3 rings delay in incoming call
Hi,
This might be due to another related issue:
There is delay of 3 rings before the diamond actually starts ringing.
i.e, after the caller has heard 3 rings, only then the diamond starts ringing, and by the time you pick the call, there will be many rings and it will go to answer phone as usual.
As soon as there is an incoming call, the light starts blinking. But there is a delay in the ringer/vibrate. You can try this out by calling from another phone.
This might be cause for your issue.
I too am having the same problem, and I'm searching for a solution. Maybe some cab which fixes the 3 rings dealy in incoming call... I'm sure there must be some such cab. Still going through the threads in the forum.
Could anybody please point us to a fix if you know...
Thks,
Sandeep
I've got the same problem on my touch pro..
It's even worse actually - I'm experimenting, but it seems like half the time the phone *never rings* when wifi is on and if it's asleep...
What the???

I think that he's referring to the 3 second delay built into most phones. On earlier devices this was fixed by changing the polling time in the phone programming. (often referred to as the Slot Cycle Index). I haven't tried it on my Diamond as I haven't noticed that much of a lag.
Since I was thinking about it, I decided to try. I changed my SCI from 2 to 0.
I did look and found that I don't have that "Forward to" option in my phone settings. Probably a provider change.
I have a sprint touch pro, and i want to kno how to connect an incoming call to the other line. Im alerayd in one call, somone else calls me i pick it up, but then i want to connect the 2 lines. get it? does anyone kno how to do this? Ive alreayd searched the forums, and i already know how to make a conference call the by ME callin both, but thats a hassle sometimes
as with any GSM and later mobile phone you answer your second call (this will auto put the first call on hold)then dial the number 3 and then press the call button again, this will conference (3 way) the calls.
When you answer the second call, the first one becomes on hold, just go to the menu and hit "Conference"

I dont think sprint have a conference button...
Go walk in to a sprint store and ask them, if they're anything like AT&T, they don't know **** about what they're selling and will have you call HTC. now really?
Anybody having this problem or have experienced it? If you have or know of a solution, could you help me out? Thanks.
All calls made to my GV goes straight to Voicemail. Not a single ring on the phone.
Oh, one weird thing is that I used to have my wife's number on GV as a secondary and weirdly all calls went to her number. I have since taken it off. could this be a clue?
I would try to look in your GV "settings. Check under "calls" tab and groups tab. Good luck
I bet 'do not disturb' is enabled
Yeah...checked all the settings...they all look good. 'Do Not Disturb' is unchecked. I did a bit of searching today...and it seems to be a GVoice bug.
WTF?!?! What the point of using it then? LOL.
go to google voice on pc and set your phone number to it.. it could be still set on your Wifes, also try to make call with it then try to call it and see if that will help out

Cool...I actually haven't made a call with it in a while...(maybe that's why...it's butt-hurt about me not using it to make calls?...LoL). My wife's number has been deleted off of it since I've been having this problem, but I'll try to make a call with it and see if that will make it work.
Thanks for the tips.
Okay. I had google voice for international calls only. I figured that it was for out going calls only. I guess that because of that setting the calls weren't getting through? I understood it as all calls would come through if my google voice number was called...hmmm...guess they should fix that
ok when this one person calls me it automactically rejects the call but i can call them and it perfectly fine. it doesnt reject anyone esle but her. so ??????

Sounds like some how you blacklisted the number from calling you, go into your dialer and go to logs, long press on the contact from one of the times you called them and see if there is an option to remove from reject list
