Hi, NOOBI questions here:
How do you guys manage your programs tab? As I install more and more programs, everything just gets dump under programs. Is there a way to make subfolders under the programs tab that can also be accessed via the start menu? I'm sure there's a way, I just don't know how. Thanks for your help!
Use File Explorer and got to 'Windows' 'Start Menu' 'Programs'
You can create directories and move the Application links into them.
I find it easier to do this through the Mobile Device icon on my PC when connected with Activesync as you can also create new shortcuts for items this way, something that cannot be done through the standard WM Explorer.
noob question here. just flashed a new ROM & i want to re-load the original ringtones but cant find the right folder to dump it.
can anyone help?

how to access windows folder in Vista device center 6.1
in active sync 4.5 it was easy
Open Windows Explorer. Press ALT. You'll see a menu. Press Tools -> Folder Options. Go to the View tab. Uncheck Hide protected operating system files and also chose Show hidden files and folders. Press OK.
Now you'll be able to see the Windows folder on your PDA.

I ended up creating a text file called Remove Programs.lnk. In it I put:
21#ctlpnl cplmain.cpl,10?\Windows\cplmain.cpl,-6100
I copied this file to the device and ran the Remove Programs, deleted iWeather and all is well now.

I searched couldn't find anything. I want to know if it is possible to put the programs I install into folders in the honeycomb menu, for example put Corplayer in Multimedia. BTW I have energyrom 3.0 build 051209 but that shouldnt be hat important.
yes it is possible, use a file manager such as Total Commander or maybe even just File Explorer goto you program files folder and create a shortcut of the .exe that loads CorePlayer and then move that shortcut into \Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Multimedia and then your shortcut will be visible you don't even have to soft reset
ok thanks man
dont mean to be dumb, but when I use file explorer to cut and paste shortcuts in new folders, they appear in the folder and on the start menu. How do I fix that?

I'm trying to add a .exe to my list of programs on the programs tab of TouchFLO 3D (What a mouthful )
I haven't installed it officially so the HTC detects it (It was just a .exe drag-and-drop to the SD card)
So how do I make TouchFLO 3D detect it so I can add it to my programs list of the programs tab or how can I manually add it? I'm not a noob - I am familiar with registry editing, scripting and so on Thanks.
Bump? Still need help
Create a Start menu link with file explorer (extension installed) and then add it to touchflo program list
Thanks alot for the reply.
It didn't really help though. I tried going to Settings > Menus and it came up with basically the same list of programs as TouchFLO did. I tried selecting file explorer and adding it to my menu, which then shows on the TouchFLO list for adding - But I can't add custom programs because they're not officially installed by cabs (I just dragged the .exe over as said in my previous post)
Bump...
