Hello. I am having a little problem with my Tilt where whenever I plugin my headset the voice speed dial program alwals loads up automatically. I am currently using the HTC Official 6.1 Rom but this has happened with any ROM (Cooked or stock.) I often use my Tilt to listen to music and purchased a headset to plug into the usb port, the voice speedial program launches and continues to launch non-stop even when I press cancel.
How can I fix this or disable the voice speed dial program to stop this. It is annoying since it continues to open if the head-set is plugged in and when I put music on it attempts to call several contacts.
Thank is advance

This is one of several problems with my AT&T Tilt. My 30 day return policy ends November 8, so I'm trying to figure out which problems are specific to my phone and which are just Kaiser in general.
Voice Command on my Tilt works great via Bluetooth hands-free mode to my Parrot MK6000. I push the MK6000 Talk button, VC chimes over my car speakers, says the name I'm calling, and asks if I want home, mobile, etc.
The problem is that after I make the A2DP connection to the MK6000, the Voice Command audio prompts do not play if I use the MK6000 Talk button. Even so, the icon displays on the menubar and it accepts voice commands, but without the audio prompts, I don't know if it's dialing the right contact and/or if I need to say "Yes/No" or "Mobile/Work/etc." unless I pull out my phone and look at the screen, which is inconvenient and dangerous while driving down the highway and defeats the purpose of hands-free mode. Never had this problem with my 8125 and the same MK6000.
The prompts do play through the MK6000 after A2DP connects if I use my mapped Voice Command button on my phone itself, but again, that requires pulling out my phone.
This happens with both Voice Command v1.60.4622.0 (my original) and v1.6.17913 (announce patch) on Helmi Kaiser Dynamic Big Storage. Not sure if it happened on stock AT&T Tilt ROM.
Anyone's Voice Command audio prompts missing after A2DP connects?

I have the same problem with the iTech headset.
Thx saint. So it's not just mine.
Maybe I'll have to dig around in the registry and see if I can find somewhere that my MK6000 and/or Voice Command is mapped for regular Bluetooth but not A2DP, but I suspect that will be a fruitless venture. And it would be a lot easier and more productive if I still had my 8125 to compare registries, but I washed my 8125 in a load of laundry a month ago (and hence the Tilt upgrade).
I just upgraded to 6.1 (no bloatware and kaiser tweak installed), and when I try to use my Motorola BT handsfree, it no longer allows (initiates) voice dial.
When I had 6.0, I hit the button and it would start voice dial. Now when I hit the button, it connects and I see a microphone appear on my Tilt for a split second and then it beeps and disconnects.
What do I not have right, understand or am failing to do?
Thanks
Never mind. I see it's been replaced with MS Voice Command. Nice.
I have a Tilt and am currently using the latest Hyperdragon III rom, but this has happened with several of the most recent roms.
it used to be that whenever i got an incoming call i would have both ms voice command announce the call through my bluetooth head set, while the phone would vibrate and play the ringtone through its normal speaker.
now, for some reason, in this latest batch of roms, i'm getting both the msvc announcement and the ringtone through my headset and the phone only vibrates. if i turn the headset off, then the phone rings like normal.
this gets to be a problem when i have the headset in my pocket, i start to miss calls!
has anyone else had this problem?
edit: also, something that's bugged me forever, the T key seems to always miss presses. i have to really jam on it to get it to register. if i'm not thinking about it, i'll send out texts and emails with no Ts in them at all! is there a software fix to this or is it a hardware issue?

Hardware. As to BT, I've always had that behavior (all sounds in headset), so don't have much to say, seemed normal to me.
I had that same problem, but I used the MSVCtoggle.cab and it switches it from headset to phone and vice versa.
I believe you need to go to "Voice Command" under settings > system, then select "Notifications"
There are settings that allow changes in how notifications are handled via your speaker and/or your BT.
Hope this helps.
The problem isn't the calls being announced via bluetooth, it's the fact that the phone now only rings into the bluetooth headset.
in previous roms, it used to be that when a call would come in, my phone speaker would ring and i would also receive the MSVC announcement via the bluetooth headset
now, in newer roms, the phone speaker does not ring, and i got both the ringtone and the msvc announcement via the bluetooth headset.
i don't want msvc to announce the calls via the phone's speaker
same thing happens with messages and the announce new messages feature. I get the sms read to me in my bluetooth headset, but the new sms tone also plays through the headset.
edit: if i turn off call announcements, then the phone rings through the regular speaker. i get no call announcements, but hearing the ringtone is much better! i'm using msvc 19965
same problem, please help , it is geting to be verry annoying (((
thank you
p.s. using tilt, original rom, voice comman 1.6.19214

I searched and found only old information from last year on this...
Does anyone have bluetooth headset-initiated voice command dialing working with their Captivates?
If so, please tell me exactly how you are accomplishing this -- what bluetooth headset, what ROM, what apps, your procedure for initiating a call from your bluetooth headset.
I'm not interested in any procedure that involves looking at or even touching the phone itself. I need a solution that will let me place a call to the contact of my choice solely from my bluetooth headset -- just push the button on the headset, tell it who to call and reliably make the call to the contact and phone type (mobile, home, etc.) that I tell it.
I am currently using the new Andromeda ROM but would be very interested in hearing what new ROMs do this well.
Thanks!
I am running Paragon ROM and I am able to make calls through my car stereo via Bluetooth voice dialing. Leave the phone in my pocket, hold a button down on my stereo until the voice asks for a command, I then say "Call Contact". If they have more than one number it asks if I want to call them at home work or mobile. I say "Mobile". The voice then repeats "Call Contact mobile"
I am running Paragon RC5.1, but Bluetooth voice dialing has worked for me since I first flashed with RC3.
Hi all,
I have an O2X and a JVC KD-X50BT digital receiver installed on my car. With this setup I'm supposed to be able to play my phone's music through car's speakers using the bluetooth from both devices and also answer or make phone calls, everything without the need of getting my phone out of my pocket. Since I installed CM7.2 a few days ago every time I pair both devices I get a message in the receiver "WAIT VOICE Optimus 2X" and I can't do anything, it seems like the receiver is waiting for me to say something. If I click "Back" button (it's the only button I can click =S) in the receiver the message disappears but the music won't play even if the player in the phone shows the music is playing. The only thing I've found that I can do is go to the properties of the BT pairing connection in the phone and disable the "phone" profile leaving only "Media" profile enabled. By doing this I'm able to listen to my music but I lose the phone capabilities in the receiver. If I enabled again the phone profile the music mutes and the "WAIT VOICE" message appears again.
With CM7 comes installed the Voice Dialer app. which if I open it while paired with the receiver the message "WAIT VOICE Optimus 2X" appears and if I close it the message disappears. I have tried uninstalling this app. and also TTS Service and Pico TTS but nothing works. I really don't need and don't want to have voice commands, for that I have the receiver which comes with a microphone and a lot of options for calling.
This never happened before with the stock ROM and yesterday I tested with a second Android phone with stock ROM and it paired with no problems and with both "phone" and "media" profiles, no "WAIT VOICE" messages or anything like that, everything just perfect, music, phone calls, messages, everything.
So, before CM7 everything was perfect, any ideas? maybe a service running in the background that launches some kind of app or something when it pairs? an app that makes the receiver think that I entered in "talk" mode so it is waiting for me to say something?
Right now I have a piece of useless technology installed in my car that I can't use and I'm not going to sacrifice phone or music capabilities =/!
