Is there any smilies on the SMS on the diamond :|?
I found an app called smileySMS but the Diamond didnt seem to like it at all especially when it came to trying to remove it.

First of all, I've been using my wing with Touch-It v2.0 for close to a week now, and absolutely love it.
My only complaint is how the SMS messages are categorized. I've used a Treo, both Palm and Windows versions, and one of my favorite features is the way the SMS messages are put into folders by sender, similar in look and feel to an IM program.
If anyone has any idea how I could get my SMS on my wing to look like they do on a Treo 650/750, I would greatly appreciate any information.
Thanks.
try pocketcm it has sms feature kinda wat ur looking for
Thanks, already had PocketCM, didn't realize it had that SMS feature.
Now if only I could get my default messaging to work the same.
I was wondering if there was an app that lets you have keeps your messages grouped together from the sender like on the iphone thanks
A lot of people like PocketCM. It has threaded messaging:
http://www.pocketcm.com/
You can also search for Palm Threaded SMS .. Its been made to kinda work on the PocketPC.
????
I've got pocketcm And it's a great app. sms works good and looks good and is different......
What is it about the iphone text app that you like?
I like the shogun threaded sms app. It's on the forums here. I think it's named shogun_cingy_threaded.cab.

like he said, he likes the group/threaded feature. and asking where he can find simliar programs like it.
already posted in this thread, try all three of these applications. i am using the palm threaded sms and it works great. it replaces your current default msging app. use it at your own risk, make backup before installing it.
alternatively, u could try touchpal. google to find it...

Hi,
i just got myself a TYTN II but can't find a way of sending any emoticons with my Texts, can this not be done on the tytn or am i missing something ?
Tony
it's not a std part of outlook so tytn must be using a 3th party program to make the characters(thats all sms's consist off) into emotes
find the program and install it and you're set
Smiley SMS is what you're after
Get it from here
Kool little program. it doesn't change anything apart from colon's and brackets (or p's, etc.) to emoticons.
is there nothing that will let you just have the emoticons in the menu when doing a text ?
That link you provided doesn't go anywhere ...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/search.php?searchid=12421425
what is the "kool little program" name?
curious to know myself
you would think that with all the programing that can be for for the tytn that something as simple as having emoticons in a text would be no problem.
Tony
SMS's are all text. I suppose a program could translate them into smilies on your screen (e.g. just like on this board) but wouldn't the receiver have to have a similar program to also interpret them?
yes it would
Bumping this tread as it should be removed or from or updated in Kaiser FAQ due broken link:
Q: I want emoticons for messaging. Where can I get them?
A: You can read about and get them HERE

Hi folks
I've managed to disable the threaded SMS function in WM6.1 as I prefer the old method. However, in WM6.0 I was able to add a recipient simply by typing parts of their name in the "To:" field. This does not seem to work now
Does anyone know how to fix this?
Thanks in advance!
SOLVED!!!
I finally found a solution for this annoyance
Have a look at my HTC WM6.1 ROM : Missing "Fn Space" function? thread for the fix
Hi All,
I am using Indian version of HTC Touch Diamond (2G Version).
I want to filter SMS which are received or sent to particular contact to be moved to one folder. Does anybody have any idea about this?
I have tried SMSOrganizer trial but it crashed 2 times and i had missed my lots of sms, also it was not working fine.
Or simply can I configure like; SMS received from particular contact does not appear on manila 3d app??
Please advice me..
Thanks,
Krups
Nobody having any idea??
Disable "Thread SMS" and then try to use SMSOrganizer again.
I have already disabled SMS threading.. I have downloaded SMSOrganizer trial version.. but it crashes many times... any solution????
Any Alternatives??
Any light weight application to filter incoming SMS for HTC Diamond??
think you will struggle to do this with TF3D handlingling your texts
Therefore I suggest you switch off threaded sms, use TF3D config to remove text messaging from the TF3D interface
Then use the various sms tools - easyhelpers sms security used to work well on my Artemis
Because I like TF3D, I haven't used any such program on my diamond
