[REQ]Move incoming/outgoing SMS - Touch Diamond, MDA Compact IV General

Hi All,
I am using Indian version of HTC Touch Diamond (2G Version).
I want to filter SMS which are received or sent to particular contact to be moved to one folder. Does anybody have any idea about this?
I have tried SMSOrganizer trial but it crashed 2 times and i had missed my lots of sms, also it was not working fine.
Or simply can I configure like; SMS received from particular contact does not appear on manila 3d app??
Please advice me..
Thanks,
Krups

Nobody having any idea??

Disable "Thread SMS" and then try to use SMSOrganizer again.

I have already disabled SMS threading.. I have downloaded SMSOrganizer trial version.. but it crashes many times... any solution????

Any Alternatives??
Any light weight application to filter incoming SMS for HTC Diamond??

think you will struggle to do this with TF3D handlingling your texts
Therefore I suggest you switch off threaded sms, use TF3D config to remove text messaging from the TF3D interface
Then use the various sms tools - easyhelpers sms security used to work well on my Artemis
Because I like TF3D, I haven't used any such program on my diamond

currently trying magicall.. works perfect for calls.. SMS some issues . I think due to wm6.1 threaded sms
running htc kaiser dutty rom 6.1
anyone got same issue or found ways around it (not disabling threaded sms)?
Been using magicall on my kaiser 4 about 6 months. V.happy with this app, no probs at all.
Using t-mobile uk rom - no threaded SMS so can't comment on that - sorry.

Same problem here. SMS filter worked fine in rom 6.0 but not after flashing to 6.1. Filtered SMS don't trigger the usual notification sound but the message is still in the inbox instead of trash and marked as unread.
How does it work?
I Install Magicall v 2.2.2 on my Uni Tomal 8.5 ROM. But seems it doesn't work correctly. Can anybody tell me how to set for sms auto reply? Please help me. Thanx in advance.
Reg,
Irman
Using Magicall for about a month with no issues, mind you only use it to block calls, was using CallFirewall b4 and didn't like the way it still showed missed calls on homescreen.

Outgoing SMS saved in inbox

Hi,
I just discovered that all my outgoing SMS messages are stored in my inbox. and send items. This is a bit annoying. Did anyone find a solution to avoid this.
I should just be stored as send items.
Thanx in advance
Robert
Do your sent messages arrive to the destination number?
If not, I'd suggest to check your settings. Cause in that case there's a reason that they don't appear in sent items.
i believe that it is the threading feature of wm6.1. if you install advanced config and the diamond config file, you can turn it off.
Yes, the messages do arrive. I will try to turn the threading off. Thanx!

Try Diamontweak
Hi,
I had the same problem and after installing Diamontweak that allows you to easily deactivate sms or text threading everything was OK. This small program also allows you to tweak your Diamond with many other features.

Cheers and have a good day!

WM 6.5 and SMS List

From when I've installed WM 6.5 (all cooked ROMs) I've got a problem reading SMS.
To read an SMS I do following actions:
- enter SMS List
- select a sender from SMS List (Threaded active)
- read the message
- return to SMS List
and many times the Experia froozen itself for 5/7 minutes when I do last point...
From TaskManager I've got running just this programs/services:
---------------------------------
filesys.exe 24MB
gwes.exe 8MB
shell32.exe 7MB
device.exe 5MB
Biotouch.exe 5MB
services.exe 3MB
cprog.exe 1MB
connmgr.exe 300Kb
NK.EXE 16Kb
I've tested all WM 6.5 ROMs in this forum. Currently I've installed "WM 6.5 Jack Lite": just Windows without any program or customization. Windows is 5.2.23025 (Build 23016.5.3.0).
I've got 8000 SMS managed in Threaded View (in SMS List). Can be this? Original ROM (WM 6.1) don't have any problem to manage 8000 SMS in Threaded View....
Someone have a trick or can confirm this specified problem?
8000 sms
woooow
yeah, 8000 SMS but I think WM 6.5 can freeze either at 500 or less...
I only gets around 200 sms in 1 threaded sms .. the WM 6.5 also froze on me too
I'm using Valkyrie FS 3.0 (not the LEO)
its seems to be a WM6.5 problem, not depending from the ROM you still using.
WM 6.5 build 23071 seems to have fixed this problem.
I've passed directly to 23071 from 23016 so I'm not able to say if some release beteween those two has same problem as 23016.
Well, I've got someting like this aswell, but not really freezing.
When I'm about so write an sms I go to the sms list, pich my contact and the list opens up (threaded) but from the point where this list pops up it takes a really long time before I can even start typing, I think it's loading the sms-list still. Have about 100~ sms with this contact where I get the issue.
Still I want to keep the messages since I need them later on, and I use the Leo sms client (latest).
Does anyone know how to fix this, or make the messages store someplace else so the client just loads like the past 3 messages?
Thanks in advance, Anton.
Hi,
I´m also having big trouble with the sms function.
I think (I might be wrong) that the problem is LEO. I used PIM restore to import my old sms and it simply doesn´t import it right in the database.
if I enter the sms program via HTC Sence (pressing an sms), it actually works, but it loads all sms from the contact everytime, which means it takes forever if it is a frequent sms conversation.
If I enter the sms program via titanium, it either doesn´t show the messages, or it sorts the messages by name/contact rather than by time, which means all messages from "me" ends up either first or last in the thread.
However, the valkyrie firestorm ROM works with pim (at least for me) after a second reset. Flash it, do the regional settings etc, do pim restore and then soft reset.
I haven´t tried myphone backup.
fugatto
@Fugatto: to restore with PIMBackup you need thoose actions:
1) disable ThreadedSMS with appropriate Registry Key or some program (need reboot)
2) restore PIMBackup file
3) after imported all SMS you can re-active ThreadedSMS (need reboot)
4) open SMS List and wait SMS be ordered by contact (for 10.000 SMS I need to wait 4-5 hours)
Warning: No Fingers were hurt in the making of these 8000 SMS

Missing sms in sms threads on WM 6.1

I have HTC WWE 6.1 rom on my ATT tilt and text regularly, have around 3000+ sms on my tilt.
Yesterday, I received a message from someone and it looked like it came from a different number and it started a new thread. Then I realized there wasn't another thread which have older sms, but then I noticed they are in inbox if I use the non threaded sms (done using kaiser tweak).
Considering (after searching forums) there is a limit on sms in single thread I am continuing with the new thread. However is it possible to have these sms in my inbox even with the sms threading ON.
Any help would appreciate. I need to look back on these sms very frequently and for the same I have to disable threaded sms and then look into the inbox which is very cumbersome.
It seen to be a common problem on WM6.x
Don't know exactly what you mean about the new thread and something, I think I have met a situation of similarity.
I got an ASUS P750 and tests it on WM6.1 & WM6.5. Once the number of the sms reach some thousands in a single thread, new sms income will be no longer be reminded and to be shown with the sms threading ON, though it can be found in the inbox while sms threading mode turn off. It seen to be some runtime memory limitation of htmlnote.dll which handle the sms and locate in the XIP of rom.
It bother me a lot, does anyone know about how to figure out?

ROM FULLY without HTC messaging

Lo all, I know you'll probably say 'use the search function' but I have and can;t find and full answer.
Question:
Is there a way to fully disable HTC messaging and not just so you can press the all messages buttonand see windows messaging program.
So if you are on Sense Messaging tab and you recieve a message from someone, you can click on it and it will take you to WM threaded messages for that person?
Hope someone can clear this up, I'm so confused with what these 'disable HTC messaging' actually do and how much they actually disable.

I advise you XannyTech roms without HTCMessaging
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=565290
But these still have HTC messaging when you click on the SMS. I have been using Xanny's ROMS.
The only WM messaging they have is when you click on 'all messages' button.

He says he have 4 Versions:
With HTC Messaging
Without HTC Messaging
With HTC MESSAGING + MSVC
Without HTC Messaging + MSVC
I suggest to check or learn before you write things which are not true.
Without HTC Messaging means, that default SMS program is not HTC Messaging. However this program is called by other Manila's features. For example contacts from Call History. Once run, you can have possibility to switch into SMS of the person etc etc.
Note, that WM has build in call history, contact list etc - those features are still not replaced making HTC messaging stil alive.
HOwever, versions 'without HTC messaging' has the same functionality as stand alone mod: replaces all HTC Messaging shortcuts found in system by Mobile Outlook. And yes, it calls MO while hitting SMS from Manila SMS tab.
Well I'm using a without ROM and have on several occasions, they do not call the WM threaded sms from Sense SMS Tab when you click on a message. They still call HTC messaging.
Only when you click on 'All messages' does it launch outlook.
I would like to know if there is a way to call WM Threaded SMS program from HTC SMS Tab when you click on a persons sms.

PS who were you talking to when you said: 'I suggest to check or learn before you write things which are not true.'
I agree

I also have tried to find a solution that disables more of the HTC UI but no luck. I would also like to disable their contact manager!

1) Uninstall any messaging related cabs (including the Zenyee or Static cabs)
2) Disable Sense
3) Use Total Commander to Delete the "ManilaFull.xml" in the "\Windows" folder
4) Install the attached cab that corresponds to your device (GSM or CDMA)
5) Soft Reset
6) Go to "HKLM\System\Inbox\ExternalAccounts"
Rename "SMS" to "SMS.htc"
7) Soft Reset
8) Install Arcsoft MMS software (go here if you need it)
9) Soft Reset
10) Enable Sense
Please let me know how it works for you guys!
I'd like to give credit to fone_fanatic, dagrim1, and xwpx520 for finding this information
with thinkblu method, there is one and only bug only, it didn't show bubbles showing how many unread message.
Tha main process there seems to be the :
6) Go to "HKLM\System\Inbox\ExternalAccounts"
Rename "SMS" to "SMS.htc"

However I don;t have this registry setting which is why this doesn;t work for me.
