Open the "Phone" program (dialing pad), got to Menu -> Options
Select tab "Band", "Select your Network Type" should do it

All I see is the big 3G icon, is there a registry edit to show me the H icon when I am on HSDPA?
Don't need registry edit - just go into Windows directory and scroll down to "HSDPA Switch" - tap it and check box. You are all set to go

Are you sure you just don't have HSDPA access?
I use KaiserTweak to turn on the HSDPA icon. Check it out here.

Found the file but that just turns hsdpa option on and off not for the icon
In the stock tilt rom it just displays 3G all the time. There is a reg edit to allow it to show the H icon also.
I really dont want to install kaiser tweak last time I did had to hard reset my phone.
-Finally after searching alot more i found it
To restore the "H" icon when HSDPA data is in use, there's a registry tweak - thanks to HiwayFuzz for the tip:
HKLM\SOFTWARE\OEM\RIL and set EnableHSDPAIcon to 1"

First you don't install KaiserTweak, it is a stand alone app that simply runs on your phone, if you buggered your device then you probably set something that you should have left alone. KT is a fabulous utility.
Second, I'd pat you on the back for using the seach if you hadn't first created a redundnt thread!

I am trying to find a way of assigning the hardware key to launch the backlight application. Preferably the button the the top left of the device which is currently used for the voice speed dial.
Any ideas?

I changed mine from Voice Dial to Comm Manager by going to the button icon in settings and there is a list there, Im not sure what programs are on there but its a start.

Thanks for the advice, unfortunately the backlight option is not on this menu. I wonder if it is possible to add it via registry entry or some other means.

hmm i kno there is some kind of "display off" program u can find, then u can go under the buttons settings and select that program to be under a certain button... see if u can find it, ill try and find a link for it and send it to ya.
Hello all,
I prefer to use Spb Plus "close" button as opposed to HTC X-close. Unfortunetly the two icons overwrite each other, even though Spb "add on" is the utility that is actually working.
Question is how do I remove/deactivate HTC X-close?
I am using Duttys latest 6.1 ROM (thanks Dutty, again!!) on a Kaiser.....

flashing rom and radio wasn't a big deal, only take my advice newb and hard spl and jocky's security unlock first, then you're pretty much safe trying whatever. I would first try dutty's latest rom with its own radio. It's da bomb.
I just installed Dutty's Diamond Rom! I didn't like the start menu, so I installed QuickMenu 2.7 and now I have two, even though my QuickMenu is set to overwrite the default menu!

So If i click the windows icon it opens the start menu, and if I click I Start it opens the other menu. Is there a way I can turn the Windows default one off?
Disable Large Start Menu
Goto: Start, Settings, Personal, Large Start Menu.
No Large Start Menu
When I navigate to Settings > Personal, there is no option for large start menu! I click Menus but that has nothing in terms of disabling it. Sorry for the trouble!

Hmm... I'm not running Dutty's ROM currently.
Maybe the setting to disable Large Start Menu is under TouchFlo settings.

Also, if you open quickmenu start bar, and goto quickmenu->option-> and then on the general tab check "replace system's start menu". That does the trick too!

I'd like to know how what to do to active the 3G button in Com manager?
Indeed, I've made this button appears in my HTC HD, thank to Advance config tools (based for Diamond at the beginning) :
Advanced cong tools -> menue -> more parameters -> com manager and then choose 3G instead of Flight mode.
But in Com manager, I can't disable the 3G button, because when I click on it, it changes of colour (because I clicked) but nothing else...
Is something to do in the registry? I've got reg edit task manager to do something into it.
Can someone help?
