I wish to use my PPC phone for playing MP3 and GPS navigation at the same time when I am driving. But it was a no go for my current Hermes + BT GPS setup as it cannot handle both application together (not to mention when call comes in, it completely hang and need reset!)
May I know Diamond's hardware is fast enough to handle below scenario without lag ?
1. Playing MP3 and GPS navigation turned on
2. Whenever there is an alert from navigation S/W(for turn, notification), pause MP3 and play the prompt. After that, resume MP3 playback.
3. When there is call in during MP3 playback and navigation, allow me to accept the call. At call end, resume MP3 playback and navigation.
Did anyone try this ? Thank you !
i tried it out with the radio and that works
Same here, just returned home from driving with both the FM radio and GPS on,
no problems at all.
Sound is not muted during driving instructions though.
I confirm, can listen to mp3s and GPS at the same time, the music IS NOT muted when prompting "After 300 meters turn left"
When playing MP3s and receiving a call, music is paused, then when call is ended, music restarts where left off.

Last night I was watching a movie(Pandorum, you naughty minds) and to hear the sound, i had to take the phone OFF silent mode, but suddenly a friend message and the damn thing beeped really loud....WTF..how to put the phone on silent...and watch a movie or listen to music..i used the entertainment panel BTW...
You could try a program like core player. Perhaps it has a setting for separate sound. Otherwise, silent means SILENT. And that for all sound I guess
Or, you could go to comm manager and turn OFF the phone. So no phone calls to silence
yep.. the second one works...u mean the off line mode rite..nice.makes more sense..
You can just turn off rings and not other sounds (there are two sliders in volume control).
I think this silent mode is great, i had symbian phone before and some apps were playing sound even there was silent mode, but WM effectively blocks all sound.
Messagesounds are systemsounds..and not muted if you only put your phonesounds into silence. Thats how windows mobile works.
You can go into sound settings and change the settings for email, sms, calls ...all one by one
So when watching a movie just turn sms and email off (you can mute calls via volume -quicker)
If you do this regularly you should use a profile app -there are loads
I use G-profile -to turn on BT for the car (and disable S2U2 at the same time)...
or at night -with one click all sounds (sms/email/calls) are off but my alarm still sounds to wake me up as I can leave volume on full
Just rooted 5 days ago with AOSP baseband version 2.42.02.10.29, Kernel Version 2.6.29.2, Mod version aospMOD 0.9.9.2 and am just finding my phone is bugging out!
OK!
1. The lock screen. Initially to unlock the phone, press on it and slide it to the right. Now, when I press on it, instead of being able to slide it, it jumps around to the left back and forth and is VERY difficult to slide to the right. It acts like it's avoiding me and trying to escape. Took me over a minute to unlock my phone this morning. When I first rooted, it was easy. Now, not so much.
2. Thrilled that I can now voice-dial with my motorola blue-tooth, I am getting the weirdest thing. When my blue tooth is paired and connected, if someone calls, the phone doesn't ring at all, it just rings through the bluetooth (well, the voice notifies me) and I get "call on line one". I have set my contacts for individual ringers so I know who's calling by listening to the song, but now, no ring at all through the phone. Phone is completely silent. If I unplug the bluetooth, the phone rings, but when bluetooth on, no ring. This never happened before. I have triple-checked all the settings and cannot make sense of this. Before, I could have the bluetooth on, and the phone would ring according to the individual ringers.
3. When someone calls and I talk to them through bluetooth, if they hang up and I don't immediately end the call through the bluetooth, my music player leaps into life and starts playing through the blue tooth. Not fun to get a deafening song blasted through your eardrums - this is the music player that was loaded when I rooted, I have again checked all settings and cannot figure out why this happens. So now, if I don't end the call immediately manually, a song starts blasting, and I have to unlock the phone (which is tricky at the moment), open up the music player and manually stop the song and exit out of music player.
My loaded apps are as follows (ones I got from Marketplace):
adobe reader

Barcode scanner
convertpad
google sky map

Thoughts anyone??????
try a full wipe and reflash the rom/gapps, etc.
Thanks. I might try that if I get desperate, but it's such a hassle, wiping everything and then getting the phone back to the way I like it. As a last resort, sure... but I'll see what happens. Just so you know, suddenly, after not using my phone most of the day, the ring tone suddenly started working, so that with the blue tooth on, the phone's ring tone actually rang - so that's a good thing, even though at the moment, I can't unlock it at all - the unlock button just leaps away from me when I touch it. oh well.
Any progress on it now that a few days have passed?
after updating my firmware to 14.3.A.0.757 I started experiencing this problem:
When I'm playing music any type of alert sound is extremely low, almost inaudible. This also includes google maps navigation voice. I usually pair my phone with my car via bluetooth while driving. If I'm not playing music then the turn by turn voice guidance sounds fine at full volume.
Is anyone else experience this problem? or know how to fix this?
to do a simple test just play music and turn on voice guidance to a random place, see if the volume dips low when you start the navigation
Thanks!.
I am running Audible 1.7.0 Build 3055 on Lollipop 5.0.1 and when I am listening to a book, notifications will pause the book, but will not play over bluetooth. This happens when I am using Google Maps navigation and other notifications as well. The book will pause, long enough for the turn by turn directions to play, then unpause but I cannot hear the navigation audio. This doesn't happen when not connected to bluetooth. Any ideas?
Hi Guys,
I have a few problems with using bluetooth earphones on my note 8, I'm hoping you guys could help me with this:
1. Is there a way to remap the buttons from my bluetooth earphones. Right now a single press on the play button plays or pauses music, but when i click it twice it calls the last called number. Usually this is supposed to skip to the next song. (Skips songs on wired earphones)
2. I usually make and receive a lot of whatsapp calls, but the bluetooth button which I use to answer normal calls doesn't work with whatsapp. It starts playing music rather than answering the call (Face the same problem even with a wired earphone)
3. When I get a normal call while on whatsapp call, the whatsapp call goes on hold until I finish the normal call. Things are fine till then, but once the normal call is over, the bluetooth earphone disconnects from the whatsapp call. I have to open whatsapp and press the bluetooth button again to connect. Gets quite annoying when you're driving especially.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. I would appreciate any help possible.
