Just rooted 5 days ago with AOSP baseband version 2.42.02.10.29, Kernel Version 2.6.29.2, Mod version aospMOD 0.9.9.2 and am just finding my phone is bugging out!
OK!
1. The lock screen. Initially to unlock the phone, press on it and slide it to the right. Now, when I press on it, instead of being able to slide it, it jumps around to the left back and forth and is VERY difficult to slide to the right. It acts like it's avoiding me and trying to escape. Took me over a minute to unlock my phone this morning. When I first rooted, it was easy. Now, not so much.
2. Thrilled that I can now voice-dial with my motorola blue-tooth, I am getting the weirdest thing. When my blue tooth is paired and connected, if someone calls, the phone doesn't ring at all, it just rings through the bluetooth (well, the voice notifies me) and I get "call on line one". I have set my contacts for individual ringers so I know who's calling by listening to the song, but now, no ring at all through the phone. Phone is completely silent. If I unplug the bluetooth, the phone rings, but when bluetooth on, no ring. This never happened before. I have triple-checked all the settings and cannot make sense of this. Before, I could have the bluetooth on, and the phone would ring according to the individual ringers.
3. When someone calls and I talk to them through bluetooth, if they hang up and I don't immediately end the call through the bluetooth, my music player leaps into life and starts playing through the blue tooth. Not fun to get a deafening song blasted through your eardrums - this is the music player that was loaded when I rooted, I have again checked all settings and cannot figure out why this happens. So now, if I don't end the call immediately manually, a song starts blasting, and I have to unlock the phone (which is tricky at the moment), open up the music player and manually stop the song and exit out of music player.
My loaded apps are as follows (ones I got from Marketplace):
adobe reader
alarm clock
Astrid tasks
B-Folders
Barcode scanner
convertpad
google sky map
home switcher
latitude
maps (google maps)
memory (game)
Multicon
navigation
news and weather
places

Solitaire
Swiftkey
Titanium Backup
Uninstaller
Vizbattery
Wordup! (game that I am absolutely hooked on)

Thoughts anyone??????
try a full wipe and reflash the rom/gapps, etc.
Thanks. I might try that if I get desperate, but it's such a hassle, wiping everything and then getting the phone back to the way I like it. As a last resort, sure... but I'll see what happens. Just so you know, suddenly, after not using my phone most of the day, the ring tone suddenly started working, so that with the blue tooth on, the phone's ring tone actually rang - so that's a good thing, even though at the moment, I can't unlock it at all - the unlock button just leaps away from me when I touch it. oh well.
Any progress on it now that a few days have passed?

I think I'm going nuts. I am finding my Tilt to be in vibrate mode, but then I check the settings, and it is in fact set to ring. A soft reset and it rings.
Also, I have found that sometimes if I have the blue tooth on, but not synched to anything, I notice a call coming in, it not ringing, and I see the earphone icon at top of ringing screen. It thinks it is connected to a BT device.
Anyone else experienceing this?
you sure you dont have some kind of "sound profile" program running like phoneweaver?
While I have quite a bit of stuff installed, I haven't installed any that I expect or know is a sound profile.
I have SPB Pocket Plus and Mobile Shell; and HTC Today screen stuff.
Last night I was watching a movie(Pandorum, you naughty minds) and to hear the sound, i had to take the phone OFF silent mode, but suddenly a friend message and the damn thing beeped really loud....WTF..how to put the phone on silent...and watch a movie or listen to music..i used the entertainment panel BTW...
You could try a program like core player. Perhaps it has a setting for separate sound. Otherwise, silent means SILENT. And that for all sound I guess
Or, you could go to comm manager and turn OFF the phone. So no phone calls to silence
yep.. the second one works...u mean the off line mode rite..nice.makes more sense..
You can just turn off rings and not other sounds (there are two sliders in volume control).
I think this silent mode is great, i had symbian phone before and some apps were playing sound even there was silent mode, but WM effectively blocks all sound.
Messagesounds are systemsounds..and not muted if you only put your phonesounds into silence. Thats how windows mobile works.
You can go into sound settings and change the settings for email, sms, calls ...all one by one
So when watching a movie just turn sms and email off (you can mute calls via volume -quicker)
If you do this regularly you should use a profile app -there are loads
I use G-profile -to turn on BT for the car (and disable S2U2 at the same time)...
or at night -with one click all sounds (sms/email/calls) are off but my alarm still sounds to wake me up as I can leave volume on full
Edit: Ignore this post
Solution: Read it to me app was set to auto-on on bluetooth.
Problem has been fixed.
Solution left for reference.
Enjoy your laughs
Hello, all
I have an odd question
I have noticed that when I turn my bluetooth keyboard or mouse on (Logitech android keyboard, and android keyboard mouse) on my GTN7000 running stock ICS, the phone begins reading my texts aloud to me, even on silent.
But when I turn these devices off (BOTH of them, either being on will still trigger the problem), the problem goes away
This is a huge problem since this makes the phone worthless unless on airplane mode (which isn't bad but means I can't look things up on the web etc) while taking class notes, which is why I bought the keyboard in the first place.
This has been driving me nuts for the past four hours
This occurs even if I have disabled notifications in the status bar.
I have disabled text to speech
I have disabled call notifications
I have cleared all defaults for voice search
I have tried turning down all volumes.
I HAVE noticed that when I set the voice engine to something else (eg google voice engine to samsung vlingo) the voice engine changes.
I have also noticed when using driving mode on, I get two voices announcing the same thing at the same time.
please help!

Just recently I discovered that Find My Device no longer Rings on the Phone (Note 3)
It only Vibrates
I've tried the following:
Uninstalled Gear Manager 1.6x
Revert to Galaxy Gear NA6 Stock ROM
Reinstalled Gear Manager 1.6x
Turning up Volume
Changing Ring Tone
Problem Solved:
I discovered the solution by partial accident.
After I realized the Find My Device wasn't going to work, I proceeded to use TasGear to launch a new Tasker Task that I would make to have my phone play a sound.
In making this task in Tasker, I found that whenever the Stream was set to Alarm, no sound would be produced. This would be the case in Alert, Music Play, etc.
So I went into the Stock TW Alarm clock to trigger a Timer alert to see if it would work.....it worked
Then I tried setting an Alarm in 1 minute......it worked.
Then I went back on to the Gear and selected "Find My Device"..... It now works.
Then I went back into Tasker to see if when Stream is set to Alarm would work........It now works.
Samsung Software, what a waste of time.
There is definitely a bug in the code. Beware.
I don't understand. Can you give me instructions on how to make my find my device ring again? It's very annoying when I am trying to find my phone and it only vibrates
Sent from my SM-N910P using XDA Free mobile app
I had the same issue for a while and decided to play with my system sound settings. I changed the sound settings where it says music, video, games, etc were turned down so I turned it up and now it works. The find my device only worked when my ring volume was up and never knew why it stopped working when it was on vibrate. I am thinking this is the reason as it now works for me.
I'll be darn if I can figure out what is going on here.
4.1.2, stock except for custom kernel brick bug prevention.
I've had this rom running since it was released (this is a note international, GBT via amazon, used in the states)
Never had an issue, but I've started to notice a couple missed calls. Today, I saw what was happening.
Incoming calls, the ringer only rings for maybe 1/2 second, phone continues to "ring" but you never hear
anything! It's like it has been silenced as if you quickly pressed a button. That's how it acts without bluetooth.
If I have my bluetooth (jawbone ERA) turned on, SOMETIMES, if the screen is off, it NEVER rings, on the speakerphone
I'm using to dial my Note, I hear it ring 2 times, then go directly to voicemail. Sometimes it does that, sometimes it does
not, otherwise, the phone ringtone plays for a split second, headset continues to ring normally. Screen shows the incoming
call, but no ringtone. I haven't tweaked, installed, updated anything to cause this. Just one day it started doing it.
I'm about to do a clear reset, but it's just a PITA to set it up. Device is going on 18 months old, first issue I've really had
with it other than a bad USB port or a worn battery.
Any clues?
edit: Found the issue...I use call control as a phone number blocker. In settings, I had on for blocked calls, "remove partial ring" turned on. Once that was turned off, everything started working.
