I have T-Mobile with the Data plan proxy. Problem is when I try to stream from my PC, Core Player 1.2 pops up (my default) and the connecting to MODEM bubble comes up instead of DATA. PIE works fine for the internet, but my streaming from Orb or m.youtube.com doesn't. It does the same thing with WMP. It tries to connect to MODEM, and then it hangs for a few minutes, and says it can't connect.
Isn't it supposed to connect to T-Mo Data for streaming? It worked flawlessly on my Dash and my Cavalier. I can't figure this out. Anyone have the settings so I can stream?

Look for a cab called RvBCrS_HTC_Streaming_Media.cab, or PM me with your email and I will send it.
I'm having problems with Orb also. I don't even know which player to use. I'm using Dutty's 6.1 rom, installed coreplayer tcmp and streaming and non seem to work? Only WMP seems tp play the files and even then its sooo choppy its unbelievable.
Did you change TCPMP's defalut files that it plays?
Thanks pyro, but it's still trying to get online using wifi? I'm using the Data connection. It keeps trying to connect to modem when CorePlayer comes up. Am I missing some settings?
As far a a good player goes, use CorePlayer 1.2, it has Qtv and works great.

I've been trying to get orb to work with CorePlayer 1.2 but all that happens is the program locks for about 10 mins and then it returns the error that WMV9 is not supported and that there is an audio codec error. Then the programs shuts down. Anybody have similar issues? Any known remedies. Also in the orb stream options i choose to transcode to Windows media is this correct or shall i use something else?
TIA

I second that. I had to go back to TCPMP.
TCMP wasnt working for me either wat setup did you use?
tcpmp works fine for streaming... you just have to go into the file associations page and check asf, avi, http, etc...
in orb, you'll need to go into settings->streaming and make sure you are using windows media. by default, orb uses flash.
w/ my 3ghz p4, the picture quality is really good even @ 80kbps ( what I use with Edge for non-buffering video )
sdp picture quality is pretty bad. lol 'n right now, my kaiser w/ htc's streaming app doesn't even connect w/ the new AT&T rom.
Just wondering if you've played around with the buffering option, cause i cant get it to work over wifi. It plays but is soo choppy its un watchable
It still tries to connect over the tmodem connection. IDK if it is supposed to do that. I even hard reset. Does anyone know what settings to use? I have the 5.99 data plan. For internet it still uses the data connection, WTF?
I have streaming media cab, checked all file associations in coreplayer, made sure that orb is streaming in WMV. IDK, maybe we can't stream on data connection on the Tilt? Any help would be appreciated. Oh, and I did all of the above, and it still doesn't work.
I recently flashed my Kaiser (AT&T Tilt) with Dutty's latest WM6.1 ROM (19199) and Radio Version: 1.64.08.21 and I am now unable stream files in Pocket Player over AT&T's 3G network.
I can stream the files in Pocket Player when I am connected via USB or via WiFi, but not via 3G.
This seems to be specific to Pocket Player, as I can stream the same files via 3G using TCPMP without any issue.
Finally, I know that Pocket Player is accessing the net ok as I can browser podcasts / opml listings in Pocket Player's Web Guide.
Anyone out there have WM6.1 & PP who might be willing to confirm that they have the same issue?
Jereme
I seem to be having the same issue. I cant hear any of the stations from the web guide. It seems to be connecting ok just no audio. I can hear local files just fine though and other streaming a/v programs seem to be working ok too...
Sux - this is one of my favorite things about the phone...

What are you using to stream? HTC Media?
Are you sure that your settings are correct to connect via "WiFi" or "The Internet" or whatever you want to use?
Have you downloaded TCPMP with the Flashvideobundle?
Are you trying to stream RTSP????
hi i`m back i`m normaly using media player with wlan is working perfect but with umts it doesn`t work als the same problem with checking email.
i`m using links from a pdasite to watch tv so it wil automatic open media player
Hey there,
I can't play any streaming video content from the internet over UMTS/HDSPA.
On my tytn (win mo 6.0) it wasn't any problem. On my diamond after connecting and buffering, it finally says "playing" but the screen stays black and the time playing indicator keeps displaying 0:00.
Streaming audio is no problem. The problem occurs for streaming video, like live TV.
I don't want to try other programs but MediaPlayer, since on my tytn Windows Mobile 6.0 it works perfect which makes me think on my Diamond with 6.1 it should be able to work as well...
Does anyone have any idea what could be the problem for the Diamond?
Guys, I would like your opinion / advice on -
I have a Windows Home Server which streams Video to the TV via a Media Centre Extender. I would like to stream Music all over the house from the centralised Server. I have an old Diamond and a couple of Kaisers lying in the house which can connect to the Server over wifi + HTC Network plugin. None of them would be having a SIM card inside. I am going to use Coreplayer as the network player to play the music files on the Server.
Is there any other solution or this is the most optimal solution.
Secondly, is there a dock which has built-in speakers or facility to add speakers as well as charging for the diamond?
Any idea / help will be appreciated.
Thanks,
