Just curious - how many people in the US are going to drop $1,000 (479 GBP) just to order this thing today, when they can probably get it for $300-$400 (either from AT&T or a reseller in a couple of weeks)?
Maybe y'all have more money than me, it just seems like kind of a waste....

I have waited this long....I think I will wait some more.

hehe im ordering mine tonight. I cant do a upgrade as im on a employee type plan where we pay for our eqiup so why not.

TyTN II Arrived

Today at noon UK time I received my TyTN II. Oh wait, let's rephrase that. I was so impatient that I went and picked it up from the local DHL facility ;-)

I had an e-mail from the courier yesterday to say that they'd be delivering mine today. Unfortunately I'm in meetings all day, so there was no way I could be at home to take delivery.
Took all my effort to change the delivery date to tomorrow, so now I'm going to be 24 hours behind everyone else :-(
Happy Kaiser-ing to everyone who got theirs today though. I'm off to play with my dumb old Hermes for the last time....!

i ordered one from devicewire.com to hongkong day b4 yesterday and just tracked the DHL and called, they will deliver my phone in 10 hours!!!

Would i be right in thinking that if i 'need' this phone ASAP, i'm looking at no less than £450?

New Tilt Owner

Just got my Tilt from AT&T today. Will be playing with it for the next few days to get it set up the way I want.
Couldn't pass up the deal on the unit. It is a refurb from AT&T. Paid $100 for it off their website with a two year contract extension. Best part is they also gave me a $100 credit of my next bill. So hows that for a deal?

That's how I got my Tilt and I'm very happy about the deal. The Tilt still frustrates me a bit but I think it is more WM than the hardware.

Yeah that's what I thought when I got mine. Here I am a year later, and I still haven't gotten it like I want it. Never will. That's what's so fun about these damn things. Constant enjoyment.

Congrats mate...i ordered mine last night from mobilefun...thinking that they might be in stock today. Rung them up this morning and asked them, told me that they are expecting stock tommorrow but seeing as i placed my order last night...theres a good chance that i wont get it till next week. So i cancelled with them and ordered with Clove, spoke to the guy there and he said they definitely have stock so should have mine by tommorrow fingers crossed.
Cant wait till i have it, for past few weeks ive been umming and ahhing about buying one but thought i might as well...if i dont like it, ill just return it for a refund.

Clove.. they do next day citylink. So unless you live way way out in the sitcks somewhere you'll definatly have it tommorow

Who did you order from? Was it inside the sealed box, or outside it? (wondering if the retailer added it, or it came inside the box in your market).

Yeah but i meant the one being uploaded is 1.37.707.1 which is newer than 1.37.405.1. Although it sounds to me its just a build version increase and probably no noticable changes.

Yeh i ended up ordering from there this morning as well, mobilefun just told me that its highly unlikely that i would get my diamond by this week etc. So cancelled with them and went with Clove who said ill have it by tommorrow.
BUT just received a call from them, seems like my cc people wont authorise the transaction which kinda sucks because last week i paid £2k towards my CC...so the balance should be clear to authorise the purchase. Rung up my cc company and they are saying they havent received any payment. So now i gotta pop down to my bank today and see the bank manager and find out why the hell my cc company havent received any payments from me. Fustrated isnt the word lol...oh well hopefully by tommorrow it should be sorted out im hoping...means that ill have to wait till Sat for my Diamond..thats if they deliver on a Sat...clove that is.

I used to have a couple of others but i cancelled them as the APR rate on them were terrible. Plus im no good with CC's...so one is more than enough for me.
I spoke to Clove and they said that if my cc is cleared by tommorrow morning, they can deliver on Sat but ill have to pay for Royal mail special delivery as Citylink do not deliver on a Sat. Said it will cost me a couple of quid extra which i have no problem with. In a way id rather it be delivered by special delivery as they do deliver on a sat 99% of the time and they usually deliver first thing in the morning.
Plus im not a fan of citylink to be honest, have let me down plenty of times in the past.

TBH, I wanna wait until it drops down a bit more. Baring in mind that this was £315 on Expansys just one month ago, the price has been sliced more and more every week. This is a heavily underrated phone overshadowed by SGS2 and Sensation and I expect it to crash down to the sub £200 barrier.
The question though is: When?

I don't think it will any time soon. Next year maybe?

I am afraid even at that price with no 2.3 on-board and no sign of an upgrade any time soon then it's still a no go from me.

I grabbed one off Expansys yesterday - can't wait to slap on a CM7 nightly when it arrives
