opera works ok until i try to log into facebook, then i get the old "sorry opera has encountered a problem" and closes.
This has only started happening since a hard-reset which was forced by applying the second tweak in the tweaks thread.
I have also noticed that opera has started taking forever to render pages and sometimes completes loading a page but the screen remains blank, and when entering opera's settings all text is black until i hit a button and then its text will become white and remain white.
Anybody experience similar issues or shed some light?
I currently have no tweaks applied.
Sorted it after another hard reset
after 2 weeks with no problems from opera,it finally happened again!
I dont wanna keep hard resetting everytime opera goes mad.
It is not just closing down when i try and login to facebook but after a few website changes it just crashes out.
Has nobody else had this experience?
Does this happen while you use gprs/edge/3g/hsdpa connection only or it happens with wifi connection as well? If the first, and you are on T-mobile, try disabling the proxy.
cheers for that!
I already had it disabled, but enabling it then disabling it again seemed to work!

Glad you go it to work. I had a similar problem before with gmail.com and few other sites. Seems like the T-mobile's default proxy is unable to handle secured connection.

Does anyone experience not being able to scroll in Messaging, after opening a message and closing it again? It works when first starting Messaging, but doesn't after opening the first message...
Nope - works fine for me. Sometimes the messaging app does funny things. Have you tried a soft reset...and does the behavior persist?
FrankyG
Yeah, I'm soft-resetting all the time. I'll try a hard-reset later this week to see whether it's being caused by some of the custom app's...
Hello,
I have the same problem than you, but i never had an answer to this problem.
If you find a solution, please tell me,...
Good evening
I have the ATT Tilt and I'm sick of it asking me if it's ok to connect to the internet everytime I run an app that uses it. I tried to find something to turn it off but have been unsuccessful. Any ideas?
Thanks!
What program are you using that is asking?
Google Maps, Citi Mobile, Opera Mini, Gmail app, umm, basically anything that isn't an ATT prog.

This is the notifications. Go to Start->Settings->Personal->Sounds & Notifications->Notifications.
Check "Connection Established" and unchecked Display Message on screen. This should resolve the popup.
No not the pop-up, the actual screen that says it's an untrusted application, might cost airtime blah blah. On my D807 one of the options is to allow and only ask once but here i only have to ask next session or next time (as in everytime it tries to connect while i'm using it). Not a huge deal but it's pretty inconvenient...
These sound like java apps.
Yep, those are all java
You say all non-AT&T apps. That's not true. Its only Java appsthat have this...
To do that, you have to do some hex editing...Search for a thread for the Opera Mini browser. THere are step-by-step instructions there to get rid of the prompts, at least in that program...
EDIT: Here's a post I put together to explain how to do this, as simply as it can be explained...

You may not have helped the OP, but this is what I thought he was asking and I needed the same thing. THANKS! I got so sick of hitting "Hide" every time it re-establishes itself.
Thanks much!
I have the Laurentius ROM installed on my Tilt (8925). For some reason every so often the sound notifications for "new text messages" and "new email messages" turn off. It's annoying because I may go hours without checking my phone since I don't think I have received any TM or emails. I thought it might have to do with the way I'm switching between ring and silent (by tapping on the icon at the top of the today screen) but I'm still not sure what's causing it. Can anyone help me out?

Do you have Opera installed?
Yes I have Opera 9.5 Beta installed.
That is the problem then...Opera disables the notifications....if you open the sounds & notification settings then start opera they won't be changed, but you have to do it that way every time.

dammit! I was wondering why my text notifications kept turning off. STUPID OPERA!
This is a known bug with the opera 9.5 beta. The first beta would do this for me however, with the current beta it seems to be fixed for me.
Wow, who knew it was opera causing the problem. Thanks for everyone's response. I'm gonna try the new beta version and see if the issue clears up. Thanks again!
New opera killing internet?
Yea, the new opera beta seems to have solved the notifications bug, yet now it seems to be killing the internet connections after using it and have to reset every time. Is anybody else experiencing this? I've never experienced this until I loaded the new opera beta a few days ago.
I can not view Youtube from the YouTube App .
I tried it with WIFI and GPRs/EDGE , I always get the NO VIDEOS reply.
What was the trick you guys made for viewing this.
I can goto Youtube Page from OPERA though.....
I used to get this problem until one time I decided to just leave the youtube app running in the background and after a time it just started working.
I just noticed mine isn't working. I installed the *.cab file that removed the globe from the Internet tab. Can someone go into that tab, select "All Bookmarks", and go to its properties. Let me know what URL and what not is set there as default.
Yes...screen prints are welcome!
Any more ideas ?????
My YOUTUBE app always show a NO VIDEOS sign ((((
Same here, I see most viewed etc. but when I want to view anything, it loads and then it says can't play video, I flashed a dozen ROM's hasn't worked on neither.
It works after a hard reset, then stops shortly after. I have not worked this out yet.
Can someone extract the YouTube app out of the original ROM, and post? I didn't realize the "Remove Globe" *.cab would kill YouTube for me. Honestly miss it...it helps me kill time in board meetings

I did what you said, before I used to get NO VIDEO sign, now I get a "Can't Connect TO YOUTUBE" sign which may mean something. Because You Tube has recently been banned here for some time due to loosing a court case against some guy.
Can't connect is always better than no videos in my case. I'm hoping to view Youtube when it's re opened here.

Jim You are officially a genius. This has fixed it.
YouTube was working but now it isn't. I always get "no videos" message and i've left it in the background for around 20mins with no luck!
I have 2 videos in the history list ans they work. But I can no longer search and access new videos.
what's going on here?
This also happened to me. Additionally, QuickGPS wouldn't connect to download any updates (this was over WiFi connection since I don't use a Data one).
I got a solution from another thread which was to open IE (Internet Explorer) and navigate to HTC's Website. Once that's loaded, open up the YouTube Player, that's it.
Just a note for those on T-mob, I was getting this but as soon as I turned off the proxy it started working immediately
I think I might have a workable solution for you guys.
This workaround only works with WIFI
Coomunication manager > Settings > WirelessLan > Menu > Wi-Fi > Network Adapters > IEE 802.11b/g Compatible Wi-Fi adapter > Name Servers > DNS
Write down the DNS address ( if you have any ) for any future needs.
Then replace DNS with 208.67.220.220
That's it, now everytime I'm connected to WIFI I can easily watch Youtube APP .
Try it

hmm find that really strange...
My youtube app is working fine....
I really think it thas something to do with the custom rom's.
I just have the original rom on my device...maybe that's the whole problam?
So maybe there has to come a fix 4 all you guys with the custom rom's?

Thanks everyone for posting their solutions.
I have tried the above and it works first time without problems!
There definitely seems to be an issue that needs a fix but for now this is a temporary fix that works and saves you from adjusting network settings.
Strange but true...
Hi!
I had the same problem after updating to german official O2-Rom 1.93. I tried GroinsNZ solution and it worked. Doesn't matter wich connection u use.
I've found out that you only have to start InternetExplorer in background once and then start youtube. It doesn't matter wich page you load in IE.
I tried google.de and this also did the job. After that, also after softreset, it still worked without starting InternetExplorer again. Thanks GroinsNZ!
Greetings, lordcoffee
Thank you all for your help. Really appreciate it. I will try and see how it goes.
Chink
Opeing IE and then YouTube also worked for me. Thanks HEAPS!
Hi,
Just had same problem after hard resetting my HTC pro.
And all of sudeen you tube started to work again, here is how:
1. Switched on WirelessLan, switched off DataConnection.
2. Started Microsoft Internet Explorer and started to browse web
3. Switched off WirelessLan, opened Internet Explorer browsing web, so my data connection was restarted
4. Closed Internet Explorer, opened YouTube app.... and..... abracadabra... everythink works fine!
Dont have a clue why it helped, not a single good reason comes to my mind, but hey, it works fine with T-mobile now.
Hi guys I just got my rog 2 and I'm experiencing a problem with the game genie app. Whenever I launch the game or any app that I listed on the game genie, the game/app will act like I have no internet connection upon launch so it won't load but when I unlisted the app on the game genie it will work just fine. Can anyone help please cause I need the block call and notification feature. Thanks.
Only thing I can think of is the storm network acceleration option in the amoury crate.
I turned it off already but still no luck. The only thing I can do to actually get into the game is by going in and out of the game using recent app button until I logged in then I can play the game. But it's annoying I hope someone could help me or am I the only one experiencing this? Should I ask for replacement then?
Did you try to force stop armoury crate, and clear cache and storage. See if that works.

Personally I have no issues with it, I didn't play a lot of games but it seems to work properly. Having said that I still don't understand the issue you are facing. If the X mode is on the Armoury Crate pop up message will not pop up instead if I want to use any of its settings I can "swipe from the side to launch it". If the X mode is off the Armoury Crate pop up message will show up, all of this has nothing to do with the internet connection whether I am connected or not I don't get notified. Anyway without suggesting things that might waste your time. My suggestion for you is to undo things you did and factory reset your device to the way it came. Then see if that resolves the issue. Clearly your issue is a software thing which means it can be resolved either by you or a future system update.
Or...you are missing doing something!

The problem is only when I open an app with the game genie on. The x mode has no problem and it worked just fine. I think Im gonna wait for an update. Thanks man.
It’s not a game genie issue. The memory cleaner crap causes this. Check that app and tinker with the settings
