Try more ROMs.
If the volume key is still not working, try flashing to stock ROM
If it's still not working, then you may have a dead volume key. If such case happens, then to the phone shop it goes for repairs.
It's common sense. That brain in your skull is still working, no? Use it.

Is the problem that the vol key does nothing at all, or that it, for example, now controls up and down? That happens on some ROMs. Try one of Williyung's ROMs, as found HERE, and see if it works.
Another solution (assuming non-faulty hw) could be to use the X1BH app to remap the keys to something that works for you, although I'm not sure if you can map volume up and down.
HTH.
thanks for your help i will try it but in this case i cant flash any new rom "how could i boot my phone with no volume keys???).
let me see what to do.

Since yesterday I have the following problem:
If I take my OB from the power plug and close the screen with the "lock" - button (top right) to turn off, the Screen remains black.
I can press any key but nothing happens!
Only when I take the battery out and re-launch it works again OB. At least until I turn off the screen again. However, the mobile is connected to the AC adapter or via USB connected to the PC, I have no problems until now!
I hope anyone cold help me!

At least you also mention your system configuration, Stock ROM, CM build, kernel, etc.
I´m using the CM71 Nightly withe the Nova2.6.35.7 v11c Kernel. The build No. is GWK74.
Can you take logs? First you have to activate log module via Nova Application, then reboot.
I made the log file.
Where can i find it to post it here? By the way: sometimes my phone shows me the cwm bootscreen but i´ve done nothing to reboot!!! Its like i discribe in the first post.
Yes, here? upload it to pastebin, dropbox, box.net or else. If you can't post link because having less post, remove your http:// at front of your link, or code it with
Code:
I mean where can i find the logfile? Where is it stored on my phone?

Ouw, sorry, you can catch log with app, like this one https://market.android.com/details?id=com.nolanlawson.logcat
Make record with it, then reproduce your problem..

okay lemme get this straight
aprold said (i believe i red it somewhere), when the first time you flash his v11 kernel, the G button wasn't assign to anywhere
and when you reboot, the system replace the keylayout with his keylayout
with the null G button variable, i believe this make an error and create an empty keylayout to the hard button
at least that's what i tought
Ok! i´ll try it! Where can i change the setting of the "G" button? is it in the Nova menu?
yes,it's on the Nova Setting
but i'm not saying it'll work 100%
just trying to help
It looks like it is working! Let´s see what happen the next few minutes/hours/days!
Thank u all!!!
It was the G button! Thank u guys for the great help!!!

You probably disabled animations in the developer's options. Just enable them to fix this

This issue cannot be solved by Reflashing ROM by wiping data (experienced )

i just went through this problem on my bravo so i want to share the solution.
actually i searched the XDA but didnt get the solution.
"think again before going to hard reset or clear cache, there might be some easy ways to get rid of it "
i got this message whenever i receive a phone call.
This error message is a common complaint among Sprint users, but it can easily be removed by taking the following steps:
method #1
1. From the Home screen, hit the Menu key.
2. Tap on Settings.
3. Select Call settings.
5. Select Reject with message.
6. Count how many messages are in this section.
7. Delete them until you have less than five.
After reducing the number of messages to fewer than five, you should be able to receive calls without an error message compelling you to force close the call.
method #2
Something I've also had to do to get the phone working again was going into the 'manage applications' screen and clearing the data for the phone application. This can be accomplished as follows:
From the home screen, press Menu
Tap Settings
Tap Applications
Tap Manage Applications
At the top, tap the All tab
Navigate to and tap your equivalent of the phone app (may be called Phone or Dialer)
Tap Clear Cache and Clear Data as available
Turn your phone off, then back on.
Another means of resolving those app errors, hope this helps!
method #3
didnt work above methods? strange!! hmm
100% solution
1.go into recovery
2. go to wipe/format option
3. clear cache
4. hard reset( not necessary, try only clear cache if works)
5. reboot.

Does it do that only when not touching the screen? If so, maybe the settings got screwed somehow. Go to Settings>Display>Sleep and change the value. Maybe that helps.
This is not the problem. And it dors not happen everytime i usr my moblie. But it happens mostly evrrytime i use any app. U can say that i am not able to unlock my phone because it is locking just after i unlock it. This is a new issue im facing coz i didnt find any solution over the internet.
If i helped you please hit thanks
So you're talking about screen lock/unlock feature.
I would recommend you do a factory reset and start from there again. Just try it first before install any app and see what happens.
