Have you read my OM-related articles? In there, I've explained how you can switch OM to full screen mode: bring up the SIP and press Ctl + *.
(You MIGHT also be ablke to do the same on the thumbboard - dunno, haven't tested it. It works on the Universal.)
ive got the esmertec jbed version and opera mini just loads fullscreen by default didnt have to do anything to make it do it

How can I bring up the SIP being opera showed?
I've got a similar problem. I have an htc kaiser. I'm enjoying opera mini very much. I've read the bible mentioned earlier, but I'm not sure how to bring up the SIP (presumably this is the soft keyboard) from opera mini4. I'm not at all experienced i'm afraid, being something of a newbie, so any very simple guidance would be really helpful. I was very proud that I managed to follow the instructions on making a shortcut and getting rid of the security questions though!

Tired of your keyboard givingy ous entencesl iket his? Well here's the cure. This cab is a simple registry edit which will speed up the typing on your hardware keyboard.
1) Download attached file
2) Install the cab
3) Soft reset
4) Enjoy
Credit goes to JohnJonsten for the fix, as all i did was create a cab.
Here is the registry entry:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ControlPanel\Keybd

"RepeatRate"=dword: dec 23
Other Fixes (By Request):
1) Use the Disable xt9 cab
2) Set suggested words to a lower number (personally I set it to 0)
3) Disable auto-correction of words.

Wow looking forward to trying it...does this do anything other than speeding up the kboard? (i.e. disabling T9?)
Worth mentioning too that turning off all the Word Completion options in the "Input" preference will also help some as well. I think all of the above is necessary for things to flow smoothly. I'm trying this right now myself, I am constantly typing crazy stuff on the keyboard for seemingly no reason.
FYI, my Tilt with ROMeOS 4.6 defaulted to 250 and 18, respectively.

This really seems to work well. I'd tried the adjustments to the sliders before, but I still had missing letters at times. I think this has done the trick.

Did your keyboard have lag to begin with? What rom are you usuing? Why would you install a fix for keyboard lag if you're not suffering from it?

It's just registry edits, so you can go back to your setting anytime you want by just changing the registry values to their original settings, without uninstalling the cab. The cab is just for those who don't like to play with the registry.

I'm not sure if there is an update. I believe we already have Opera Mobile 9.5 (beta), which Opera lists as the current one.
But, if you don't care for the default Opera interface, perhaps you should try Opera Mini?

I have to admit that i find Opera Mobile a hassle sometimes. Adding that the data-charges on my subscription is quite substantial I often use opera mini, wich really is getting good these days.
Still looking for the answer. I really liked Opera on previous devices, but really don't care for it on the Diamond. I don't care for the UI, or lack thereof, and the Favorites is a mess. Zooming and panning is a nice feature, but having to constantly adjust to get a decently rendered page is a pain. PIE is much better for me on the Diamond. Better/familiar user controls and better rendering.
I do have IE on a soft key, but programs that auto switch to the browser still call Opera as the default. Opera also eats a big chunk of phone memory. I have tried the 9.5 Beta and it's some better, but not much and does not delete the existing Opera.
So back to the original question...anybody know how to uninstall Opera and change the System defaults to PIE?

update problem ....
The update does not want to start ........ it goes normal until the status bar and it remains at 0%. I use win XP and Active Sync seems normal.
Is there anything i can do?

was wondering if footprints works in this? That is if I took a GPS Photo I can add it to footprint no problem? And in case you mis understand I DO know that if I took a normal photo and add to foot print and then add gps it works. What I want is to take a photo with GPS and then add to footprints. Does this work?

Seems like a good ROM, my only issue is with MMS.
Received mms are absolutely tiny, 4k, however sent mms are fine. The problem is not with the other phone.
This is the same issue I get with most ROMs except for EnergyROM.
Any ideas?

Same issue here: when I press the "globe", I get a pop-up saying: The file "Program" cannot be found. Either it is .... restoring this file".

I did not uninstall the installed version, all i did was download Opera 10 beta 2u and installed it.

Also i notice that the graphics on this ROM is quite good, however when the Sun shines on the front screen you can notice poor quality in the rings. Do you know why this might be?
