hey Karkalanand,
i bought it from Chandigarh and ROM version is 1.37.720.2 WWE , the only problem i face is of it being slow after sometime, requires a soft reset everyday other than that no problem and its matter of getting used to the onscreen keyboard. i did install .net 3.5 framework which i guess has better memory management and looks like it improves responsiveness a bit.
Thanks yaar Me_p, i'll be buying it tomo at Kochi, but will come in my hand only on 8th july, coz it will be bought by my relative there who's coming back to my town on 8th...

well then research around and maybe u'll find someone that is in ur location...or better yet just start flashing COMPATIBLE radios when u get ur phone and see which one is best for u
I'm new to HTC and I have now had the Diamond for around 3 weeks, I do understand that no device is perfect when it is first released, actually no device is perfect . Later down the track I'm hopefull updates will be released to rectify some of these bugs we are experiencing! (especially the RAM leak, it's just plain nasty)
Now what is HTC like with there support, what is there timeframe with updates and new firmwares etc. ?

I have no idea but have you checked HTCs website for any rom updates??. A forum member mentioned that there is a new rom out 1.35 i think. Best thing to do is head over to HTC and see if they have any updated roms or check in the rom section of this forum.

Yeh, i checked the site, HTC e-club Hong Kong, no ROM love there.
I hope that HTC will release updates on a more frequently basis, since HTC tried to make the Touch Diamond a real iPhone killer. Weather or not they succeeded in this goal, is open to discussion, but they will loose the battle for sure, if they don't manage to keep the customers happy.
One of the ways to keep the customers happy is to make sure they don't have to wait for almost a year on new updates. The phone was only recently released, so I'm not surprised that is has some minor issues here and there. I would be surprised if it would take months for the first update to appear, since there is more than enough feedback.

I have insider info that the TFLO3D is being revised for better performance due to lag. We should see a ROM soon, either from me or HTC.

I have ROM 1.35 - seem to have many fewer issues than some others on here - e.g. TF3d reasonably respnsive without tweak, no excesive heat, very good voice qulity (inbound and outbound) on the phone, wife works fine etc.
The latest ROM is 1.37 but still not available at e-club for download, if your country do have a HTC service center then you can give them a visit to upgrade.

I have just bought a used Touch Diamond, and was looking at downloading and upgrading the system with the official ROM upgrade from HTC, (Diamond_HTC_WWE_1.93.405.1)
It doesn't give you that much info on the HTC site, and I was wondering if
1 - it will be WM 6.5?
2 - It say 'Orange' ROM, would this revert the phone back to Orange only sim settings, or would I still be able to use my O2 sim card? The phone is 'Orange' branded but unlocked.

I don't think 1.93.405.1 is the current official ROM from HTC. There has to be a newer one like 2.03. xxxxxxxx
Anyway the newest ROM for Diamond is still WM6.1. There is no official WM6.5 ROM.
If your diamond is simlock-free then you can use the orange-ROM with other providers. I had the official ROM from O2 and used it with a T-Mobile-SIM-card without problems.
The only thing is that the provider-settings are false. But there are tools to configure this.
Or you use the official HTC-ROM without branding:

There are also good custom-made ROMs.

At the moment I am using a 'BsB Ultimate 6.6' ROM which is quite good, but I would like one with the animated weather reports (the windscreen wiper) and the book like image viewer that you can flick through.
Any idea which I am looking for by that description please?

I had this ROM on my diamond and I was pretty happy with it. I don't know wich language you prefer.

It's with Sense 2.1 wich runs really good. A network-wizard to setup your provider settings is integrated.

I am comming from HD2 forum. With HD2 was very easy - HSPL and you chow an install everything
But now i want to ask you for your help:
- how to install different ROM. I try to install DE ROM but the software says that is not for my device
- how to install IGO8 that was very helpfull with HD2

For the moment it's impossible to change roms with wp7.
We must wait until HSPL is released (or not )
I have an unlocked O2 UK phone too, my rom it's the O2 UK here in the forum, try that but you will not see any differences.
Regarding iGO8 or other GPS software, they don't work with WP7 for the moment. Hopping to see updates next year.

You really need to do some research. This time last year it wasn't so easy to flash a ROM on the HD2, it took nearly 3 months for that to happen. Also there were regular leaks of the WM6.x builds, without this the "easy" ROMS would not exist.
You cannot compare a phone that is 14 months old to one that is only 2 months. A bit like putting my clothes on a baby, being 6ft tall they're just a little bit big for it.
As mentioned above, there is no Satnav program for WP7, which also is nothing new considering Android, Windows Mobile and iOS didn't have SatNav when they first launched.

I have HTC Kaiser almost new was my brothers old mobile , hah if u see my HTC u won't believe it !!! Still brand new with box , all accessories and even the battery still strong which amuses me
Anyway I wanna ask anyone who has the official window6.1 update for the HTC because mine still on shipped windkw6 and Rom, radio etc ....
And I can't figure out a way to make my HTC recgognizing the 3G sim ,, it's inky working with normal GSM and 2G ... And I have noticed all the download links on this forum were expired long years ago and all mirror for Roms and radios are dead too ....
So if anyone can help me with my small issue by providing working links ,or uploading a working update or custom rom , radio etc .... So I can solve my problem will be appreciated ^_^

A friend has one with broken touch screen (LCD works fine, resistive touch is weird). It has a non-working section, from what my friend told me, I'll try to get it.
