Yes you need a Bluetooth GPS receiver, no additional software, just TomTom and the map you wish to use.

Only if you stream it from an internet broadcast via WAN or GPRS.

What is this XDA Developers or XDA Users? It should be able to write a radio app that gets the radio signal from the device.........
I actually made a program that lowered the frequency the phone is receiving, but due to its digital nature, I only get DAB radio.

software is useless if there is no hardware to support it -.-

You're a member of this site. Why don't you jump on writing that app for us?

The most simple answer is : go to buy a FM/mp3 player with bluetooth enabled and pair it with your O2 XDA mini-S.
This is what i am doing with my Asus.
Why dont you buy a nokia HS 12W bluetooth handsfree it has FM in it and works with the mini s ?
fm radio
you also might consider to buy the htc P3300.
it has fm-radio on board as well as gps
fm radio
this is probably useless and off topic but i did come across this fm tuner application for the Eten G500 described here
http://msmobiles.com/news.php/5193.html
Obviously is useless on my GPS free Prophet, but i did wonder (probably stupidly) whether it might work on a HTC with built in GPS??
I think it can be downloaded from here
http://www.eten-users.net/index.php?showtopic=2634&st=15
fm radio
though on checking that link don't think you can download the file anymore
so instead i've attached it below
View attachment Eten_G500_FM_Tuner.zip
at least, i think i have......
be interested to see if anyone can get this working
OH, what about using my Wizard as a microwave, or turning the camera into a 10 megapixel camera by applying a genious patch... quite funny thread!! LOL
Are you guys serious??
very nice thread!!!!
don`t want hardware dependent stuff, i just want a genius patch for dual booting....
So i can keep my rom and also try other roms...

Well, perhaps not 100%, but (and forgive me for being a little ignorant) if you can activate GPS (as is being discussed on the Hermes forum) then would that mean you could also receive RDS?? sorry for the basic lesson needed....
funny thread !!
i'm looking for a patch to extend my storage memory ... nobody ?
maybe there is a patch to get tivo on there too. haha

cause the Hermes has a GPS capable Qualcomm chipset (though it's not evident whether it has a proper antenna) but the Wizard doesn't have either that or a FM tuner...
Anybody know why fix for camera for HTC TyTN II is gone from HTC e-Club? Best regards...
No idea, on the french website it's also gone, I'm left with the BT fix that's all.
Is this the cab you are looking for?

i think that's the reason why they dont have it in their eclub anymore. anyone who wants it is already getting it from xda devs. i think their future updates will just be a link to xda devs
^^^^^^^^lol
It is possible that they found a bug in the update so they pulled it and fixing the problem.

From HTC you surely could expect something like that.
But for now I don't encounter any problems with the new fix. In any case one could always roll back to the old *.dll file..
Maybe they will finally fix the camera lag? *sigh*
It is back... Do you think that is the same file?
art12345, post the direct link, we'll check it.
here's the european one
yep, i think it's the same. here it is anyway.
Same dat as before on the web page (7th of march).
YEah its back
do you know why they disabled the link all that time??
Here is it:

Regards.
It is exactly the same file. Byte by byte.

is that right ? It just A/GPS ready? i dont get it?
thx
No need to worry...it does have a gps-reciever built in!!
yes, it has got a built in GPS-receiver, all you need is a GPS software to use it.
thx, thought it was a bit odd. whats that dewd on about then!!?? lol
Is it possible to use the Diamond as an external GPS device for my laptop, when I'm on the go? This would be great, since I am about to purchase a small netbook, and would like to do this instead of using the phone as a navigation. Also, in the upcoming months, I plan on removing the stereo from my car and installing a "Carputer" in-dash. It would be nice to use my phone as the GPS device for this application as well.
Thanks in advance!
the program is called gps2blue
and does just that
How do we find that?
[EDIT] Found it.

I'm very eager to open it and check the connection/s but still hoping that it's just a radio problem, tried changing to other versions.. right now radio-1.65.16.25 is installed on my device.. is there a way to find out what's the original radio for my TyTN-II? p/n= 99HCY140-00. thanks.. hope we can figure this one out..
I can confirm ear piece does not have any cable. Maybe is just poor contact after all the years. Just a simple contact cleaning may just do if you are taking it apart DIY with reference to the service manual.
