Hi
I opened Phat pad which said there was a known issue with finger scrolling and Phatpad and asked me if I wanted to turn off scrolling. This has now been switched off for everything except touchflo and programs like Opera but things like inbox or text in messages doesn't scroll anymore.
Does anyone know how to switch it back on as there doesn't seem to be a setting anywhere????

OK I have installed pocketcm .19b everything works fine but when I go to sms the program just shuts down. Any ideas?
Has anyone got this to work on a TReo 750? The sms section just shuts down Pocketcm.? anyone
I have the same problem, I hope someone answers soon.
Do u have to scroll down to SMS or is it already on the screen for you?
In the contacts it depends on how many numbers are stored, home work mobile etc. After I scroll down to SMS then select it it goes to the sms screen then shuts down back to home screen. I am using the default windows sms right now until this gets resolved. This is the last thing I need to make it look somewaht similar to HTC touch
Anyone? No one has gotten this to work on a treo 750 yet, the SMS portion that is? I think i will try to ask the guru's in the main forum section.
Why would you want to use the SMS in PocketCM when the Palm SMS is superior?
Just go into options and disable the PocketCM SMS.
Do you find opening e-mail on the Diamond is kind of slow? It takes a good 3 to 4 seconds for an e-mail to show up on screen. A big sluggish for a 500MHz+ device, don't you think? Any solution? Would changing the mail application to some other 3rd software improve on this issue?
It takes around 3 seconds on mine too, but I think this is because you're not actually opening messaging. The application is only 'looking in messaging' and allowing you to do certain things with that 1 email. When you close that 'preview' messaging isn't open. I think that accounts for the delay.
Maybe also it depends how many emails you have in that inbox?
I think its not the opening the full message that's slow...I think its "closing" the TF3D or getting it off the display that's actually slowing down everything. For example, if you go into the start menu then messaging it'll load much quicker than if you load it from HOME SCREEN.
This is my biggest irk w/ the device!
From the TouchFlo interface when you look at email you can normally see if its an email you want or need to read and you do not have to actually read it. so is there a hack, tweak or setting that will make the indicator or the counter to disappear if you look at it in Touchflo without having to actually open it? Normally I will got thru my emails in Touchflo without ever needing to actually open the mail program.
Would like to know this as well. Same behaviour as with the SMS screen.
Are we the only ones that think this is a problem!
Seriuosly...I'm having the same problem. I tried to use all the configuration programs available but it seems no one has made modification for that feature...
I got tired of seeing "RE:" all the time instead actually seeing the message like SMS so I removed the mail tab from FLO.
I really like the diamond (Ignito) but using it to dial people (in touchflo) or contacts (via Windows) is a nightmare. far too often I end up dialling someone when I'm trying to scroll using the touch screen. And the basic Windows contact manager is all too small scale to use without a stylus.
Has anyone got any advice or better still an alternative app that will let me use the touch screen and a big list in a reliable way. My daughter's Samsung Tocco is just a dream to use in comparison.
Thanks
Mike
You can use Resco Contact Manager. The beta is free and usable with touch function. Try it! You can enable/disable Resco Contact manager to handle calls, contacts, etc in settings
http://www.resco.net/pocketpc/contactmanager/default.asp
The Screenshot is on the website as well.
Thanks Satus - will try that now

personally i never use the contacts tab to dial out. I just press the phone key then use the dialer keypad to start typing the first letters of the person im trying to dial then hit call. much faster than trying to scroll and no need for the stylus..
tried Resco contacts last night and I love it. Scrolling seems somehow much less sensitive and even if you do make an accidental press, all it does is pop-up the contact with 4 big buttons for dial, sms, email, and something else. If you hit the big back arrow in the corner it takes you back to your scroll list at the point you were previously
Thanks again Satus

I don't really use my phone for email, I really only use SMS. So when I'm in my SMS inbox, if I slide my finger to the left or right then it will switch over to Outlook inbox. This can get very annoying, especially when I'm trying to touch to select one of my messages because it will sometimes accidentally slide to Outlook instead. Is there any possible way (registry edit?) to disable this sliding to switch inboxes thing?
