for playing music there are two standard options.
the tf3d player and the wmp10. both have problems.
the tf3d player cannot adjust the volume. so you will always have to adjust the total volume.
and both do not have a good library.
i would like a library that shows all the music with artist name and title, and offers you an easy way of playback. with keys you can use with your fingers.
this is an example.

unfortunately pocket player crashes after using it for 1 minute. I do not know why.
so does anyone have a solution, or maybe another player that gives you the same functionality and works.
hi,
if you want to have a very good (maybe the best) mp3 player, you have tu use S2P! and thank A_C for his good job!
cu
I still like and use the original classic HTC AudioManager which runs on the Diamond quite happily alongside the new one.
Very easy to use with fingers and very clear library lists.
Other than that I use Pocket Player and, although slow to start, it has never crashed on either standard or Bepe's rom.
Audiomanager in VGA (bad screenshot - looks much better on Diamond screen!):
It's amazing how you can buy a top end mobile phone with TWO MP3 PLAYERS built in and yet you still have to download third party software to get the job done properly!
It seems that HTC spent so much time pretending to be the iPhone that they forgot to add functionality to such an important feature!
Anyway, I'm off searching for the vga HTC Audio Manager!
as i said, the pocket player crashes on my stock nld rom.
the htc audio manager gives a lot of problems as far as i read in the forum.
the s2p (free by the way) does a nice job.
the volume slider is a bit insensitive, but you can use the up down on the dpad. choosing a number with your finger sometimes makes you choose a number that you did not want, but that is practice

Hi, i've been looking for a nice music player for a vga screen (because i'm not that happy with the htc touchflo3d music player), but i can't seem to find a nice looking, good working music player.
I was thinking, i could make a nice design (i'm a webdesigner/designer) for a cool music player. But i'm not so good with programming. Maybe we can turn this into a project to make a nice diamond music player?
In short, i'm looking for one or more ppl who can develop software for the HTC Touch Diamond and are willing to develop a nice music player with me.
I like the old Audio Manager than the new one built into Touch Flo 3D
I made a design of what i think it should kinda look like. It's a concept and not 100% finished, but i would like to hear feedback

Nice!
A few suggestions:
Something better (maybe a bigger dot) to grab the bar if you would like to drag it back a bit in a song.
Something bigger for volume - to hard to press the right button in your mockup.
Better use of album art - maybe it could be the background wallpaper.
Info on next song.
Sorry, but I cant help since I havnt any programming skills. Maybe easiser to find someone in the developer section?!

yes, well maybe we can use the hardware buttons to manage the music volume.
album art.. as wallpaper it would be stretched and pixelled i'm afraid
Have you tried PocketMusic?
WOrks on VGA.. and it's pretty good looking, methinks.
I too like the standard old HTC Audio Manager player.
There are some cabs floating about which I've used to put it on older devices such as the Jamin and Orbit 1 and 2.
Does anyone know if the cab will work on the TD?
I suspect the resolution will be Ok but am concerned that the DLL files etc may clash with those of the new player.
PocketPlayer and MortPlayer are Ok but a bit fiddly.
I'm concerned because all of the vids I've seen make the new player look very simple but also very limited! Does anyone know if you can list ALL songs for an Artist (ie you have more than one album by say the Clash and want to select from a list of all Clash songs) with the new player on the TD?
Or can anyone try the existing AduioManager cab on the TD?
Many thanks.
I tried all sorts of audiomanager cab and zip files floating around here. The best i got is the audio manager on 1/4th of the screen working kinda. got a error in the title bar though. all other vga versions didn't seem to work..
Hi,
I just update the HTC Touch Diamond ROM to 2.03.707.2 yesterday and installed Pocket e-Sword
However, the screen is not as it used to be. Some controls are smaller and some unusable.

I did mistakenly install QVGA version of S2U2 but then I uninstalled it and reinstall the VGA one.
It worked well previously as attached
Anyone can help?
Thnx.
Had the exact same problem going from 1.93 to 2.03. It has to do with .net framework. I ended up purchasing pocket bible 4 and am never going back to Pocket e-sword. You might want to give pocket bible a try.
Use the attachment to overwriting the cuv.bbl, I think it will be okay.
I have the same problem. Please help.
I don't think it has anything to do with the bible files. It looks fine in other languages.
I installed the new official Sprint ROM version 2.00.651.7 and e-Sword's search options are all shrunk to a point that it is unreadable. Almost all menus and icons are shrunk, squeezed or squashed.
It think it has to do with the MS NetFC. I had to reflash my diamond to the previous Sprint Stock ROM.
Same to me
The same thing happened to me with the new official HTC Rom for HTC Touch Pro.
It's disturbing that now it doesn't work Could anyboyd help us with that? As Pocket e-Sword is a very valuable tool for our daily use.
Thanks,
My Touch Diamond 2 also displayed this symptom, everything on the menu is shrunk. It is not a VGA resolution issue as it worked fine in VGA and WVGA in HP hx4700 and Asus P835. I think it is some settings on the GUI, which I have no idea where to adjust or make changes. Any one knows?
There's a new version (3.1) out! Looks good to me, except for the bible text, which is way too large (on my Raphael that is). I've already contacted the author about this.
Thanks for the notice. Downloading as I type....hope this fixes things. Thanks to Rick Meyers also for following up on the request for VGA display.
Samsung galaxy s and android together is a nonsense
Subject volume
now if i want to lower the ring tone down when i am in office it works simple and easy
but what stupid it is my sms ring is still like a loudspeaker, i have to manually go inside setting and do the volume control. completely nonsense.
after office i put my phone on high but i usually forget to go inside tweak things and do the sms volume up and high ( i missed so many imp text)
and in silent mode if i try to play some game it will have music to start with because the media volume is again different level needs another correction there...
such small things which are very imp and even after 4yrs of android no luck....
come on if i want to link a contact i want to type and search a name and do it quick rather i scroll all the names.
Samsung Android what nonsense... CAN SOME ONE HELP ME & THEM UNDERSTAND
and there are so many such things... to much to type may be someday later .....
such a trivial thing
install this and it will fix your problem

thanks this sounds worth it.............
but this being a widget i am sure it will use continuous ram.
You could also try an app called Quick Profiles - works well and you can create your own custom profiles as you see fit.
Oh thanks ......i like the audio widget but i must give this a try since the audio widget makes my slow phone run even slower......
i read it some where samsung galaxy s was the fastest phone...... why is the ram/rom part always been used more then 70 %..........

all my 7 screen are full of widgets
wow you have a very interesting screen and looks you are pretty tech savvy.... nice
I am driven by tech and speed i hate slow and sloppy things...... i mean this is a wonderful phone better then all my previous phones I phone 3g, E72, bold 9700 .......
but the truth is it is still not perfect it lacks so many details and at times the response is so very slow.
I am waiting desperately for FROYO ...........
I searched for a while but couldn't find many VGA skins for Pocket Player, especially for fat fingers, so I made this one to suit my needs. This is a new skin I'm using mostly for the car. The idea is to maximize screen space with visuals and info, and use the hardware buttons of the FUZE to handle the controls. Just thought I shared...
NOTE:
The skin is named default_vgals.psz so it will overwrite your default installed landscape skin. This way it is automatically selected when tilting the phone. If you don't like that, just change the name ;-).
[EDIT 1/8/11]
1. Added a new version with some tweaks and the MENU BAR at the bottom, which seems more useful than the slider.
2. Also added a small Mortscript that enables selecting between separate PocketPlayer libraries. The idea is to split up large music libraries into different folders and let PP compile individual databases (metadatadb) in each folder. This greatly improves the performance of the application when browsing for music. For example, in my case, PP would struggle with my 3500+ song single library, taking on average 10 - 20 secs between each operation. After dividing the music into 4 separate folders (~1000 songs each), response is almost instant. You need to change the name of the folders in the script to match the actual folders you create, or it won't work. Then make sure you run the library scan on each folder. You get the idea...Try it...but remember to always backup, etc...

So the skin is only for the music program Pocket Player, which uses skins of the format *.psz (just a zip file renamed). The file just need to be copied to the pocket player installation folder, and then selected from the options menu. Also, this particular skin is only for VGA devices (640x480), but I don't know if Pocket Player will try to render it in your device (800x480). That said, let me see if I find some time to make a WVGA version this weekend...no promises...
EDIT!
I download the apk from the link below. No root needed! Works ok. App is a little blurry, guessing it was made for the smaller phone screen.
But hey, FREE MUSIC and no ads. Sweet! Love the "Dial" where we can switch music on the fly. Using it with my car's bluetooth connection.

yeah it works fine, thank you.
I saw a module related to this player in xposed, I think it helps those that can not run it. if you had any problems, maybe that will help you.
With the recent updates to Soundcloud angering me, and Pandora and other similar apps just not as appealing to me, I'm glad to see that there is a version out there for my 7.0 tab 3. I'm going to give this a shot after I finish jailbreaking my 5s (attempting a 7.1.2 update). Now the debate will continue... Samsung Tablet, Digital Camera... should I go for the phone or stick with iFruit... time will tell I guess this October.
Works with no root?
I have an HTC One and I downloaded the app and it installed but when I open the app it says device not supported. Am I missing something or was the "no-root" misadvertised. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
