Same thing
Install
and Soft Reset
Didnt work for me.
the storage cards remained the same.
:-(
Did you soft reset?
Surely did.....
My storage card also became storage card2. I noticed that after a soft reset a new folder had been created on the device called storage card and the actual storage card was being designated storage card2. If you delete the new folder and remove and reinsert your card then it reverts to being storage card. Unfortunately it reverts to storage card2 after every soft reboot.
If you hide the extended rom, delete the storage card folder on the device and then soft reboot, your storage card should be OK again.
It seems to me that the storage card folder is being created on the device in order to create a folder for my email attachments - I store them on the card. If there are other people who have unhidden their extended rom but don't have the storage card2 problem, it may be because thay don't have their attachments set to be on the card.
BTW why do you need to run the new cab file? Why not just remove the original unlocking cab file? That worked for me.

I see what you are saying but mine did something different. I had Mail attachments and camera photos set to save to the mini sd. When I un-hid the extendedROM it moved them to it and the ExtendedROM is a folder and third option if you want to install anything from scratch, and its called ExtendedROM2.
Now without changing any settings, when I take a pic or have a mail attachment it puts them in the ExtendedROM2 section, and it doesnt give you the option to change it. For instance, in camera - options - general - save to : I can choose, main memory or extendedrom2, no memory card option. :?

Thanks for this tip baldboy! After removing some software (Vito Sound Explorer), my storage card2 (my SD card) totally vanished. After your tip I now have my SD card back and am able to save from camera to it again. My Extende ROm is hidden again, but with total commander I can view it when I want. If I want to change it, I just have to unlock it, edit it and then lock it again. Thanks for your help!
Now all I have to do is get the extensions on my SD card right again. edit: did that with Badschwii's myextensions.exe.
Hello!
Will applications which I installed on the ExtROM (after unhiding and deleting the CABs) still work after hiding the ExtROM again??
yes, all apps in EXT ROm that you leave there will work after hiding, deleted apps will off course still be deleted.
Hi Koksie,
App in hidem ExtendedROM will work even need to write/update data?
My problem is I don't use extendedROM because name os SD change and many programs have problems to work... camera save fotos in extROM, etc...
Thanks
Sorry, I am speaking englis not so good.
Extended ROM must be cleared from your data and all utility working to hide Ext ROM.
If I try set IE temp /Storage Card/Temp - I am not able to HIDE extended ROM !!!!
After move temp to original location all works O.K.
When I try to select the option store mail attachments on the storage card I've noticed that the storage is the ext rom and don't the really storage card.
How do I change this?
Thanks
Is it possible that your ext rom is unhidded?
If this is the case it could be that the application looks for all external storage areas of which you have now two
Extended Rom
Strorage Card
If the application does not give you drop down then it asumes that you only have one (Storage Card) as by default the Exteneded rom is hidden.
Anyway that my toughts on the subject, to solve it hide your Extended Rom which is best pratice anyway.
Yes, I don't have a drop down option.
How do I Hide my ext rom?
With the same tool that you unhide it in the frist place!
It should be in a subdir of your programs and be called hide

You want to combine the internal storage and the usb storage into one storage space and the internal and external sd storage become just sd storage?

I would like to do this too, I know it is possible because my Motorola Xoom does this. I was surprised that the ICS update didn't reformat the internal storage to work this way.
The internal "/data" partition stores both application and "user" data and it is done by having a subfolder of the data partition mounted as the "internal sdcard" (/mnt/sdcard) by a special filesystem that strips all user permissions from the files.
That way as far as the OS is concerned all the data is on one unified partition so I could install 20G worth of apps if I liked, yet all the applications that download data or expect music to be on the sdcard have everything in the right place.
The extra sd card shows up as /mnt/external1

I have tried to do this by editing the "vold.fstab" file in the etc folder. However I have not been successful. I can only switch between the internal and external sdcard.
Each time I failed I have to recopy the original vold.fstab file before the Note working again if I am lucky. Most of the time I have to reflash the rom again. You can get some information from the following thread:

Guys, I cant seem to access the internal memory of my phone. The external SD CARD is shown, when I go to the emmc folder its empty (in-real its not, and when I access it from the CWM. The emmc (internal storage) has all files shown there)
Please Help :/
The option to use additional storage/internal memory in the settings is also faded/greyed out.
I was on official ICS before, I have heard it has some different partitions but I used nvflash cleaner and then installed cm7.
How do I swap it because I have gone to setting and under storage and usb, I have change default write disk to SD card yet the issue still persist …all my files, apps folder still goes and stored in internal memory then there is an option under memory card that says format as internal storage .if u should do that all apps folder and activities will be stored in the SD card but u will unable to view the phone internal storage even in the pc, the phone internal memory will not display except only d SD card which is now acting and working as internal and external memory
Pls I need solution for dis ..
Use XInternal xposed module
