The App links can be changed by HTC Touch Settings.
When you make a contact and it has one phone number + name it will directly dail, but when you have adres e-mail second phone numer etc. the contact page will pop-up.
I am running one of the cube cabs from here on xda. my tilt does not have any icon for htc touch settings.
that's too bad about the contacts. the htc home plugin will dial the first # listed, only brings up contacts when you hold down on a pic.

Well the HTC Touch Settings you have to download and install apart from the Cube. And it depends what cube you use. When you use Touch Commander (this one has a easy set-up and works 100% and you can edit it easly) or Flash cube, the HTC Touch Settings will not work. So you have to have the official cube like Duttyroy's
im using the cube from dutty's thread, and I've been looking everywhere for the touch flo config file. anyone have a link for it? thanks

Hello,
is it possible, to add a name for each the mail-account on the Homescreen TF3D? (See atachment)
For example:
I have 4 mail-accounts and dont see witch one is it.
It would be useful when you see the account name, if you from top to bottom scrolls.
For suggestions, I am very grateful, thanks.
Greets Ddriver.
When you have messages, the account name appears in the bottom left of the TF3D envelope in big black text. It's not showing in your attachment because you have no messages
Yes sure, I know.
But I wont to see witch account I have to control for send/receive. ;-)
Is it possible to manage with the registry?

If you find out let me know
I'd like to know if there's a way of re-arranging my e-mail accounts (envelope symbol) on the TF3D email tab?
I'M USING SHAKS v4.30 ROM.
I know this can be changed, and to my embarrisment I cannot find it on here anymore on how to do this. Could anyone please tell me the reg value I need to change to not have my TD show surnames first (who tought up this idiot setting to begin with?).
you can change it, go into contacts, edit and change it in "file as"

funny enough, that doesn't really matter. At least not with the built in BT carkit in my C4 picasso. It will still show firstname/surname.
If there is indeed a registry key to change this, I would like to know. Perhaps that DOES give the result I am hoping for.
how i writr my contacts is as follows ( works in outlook contacts aswell ) where you have to put first ,name ,middle ,last, etc just write the full name in the first name column e.g you would write the name John Smith ,with john in the first column and smith in the last colume ,but just write john smith in the first column and it should be ok .hope you understand.
This is a way of entering/adding NEW contacts to the phone. As I understood, sjaak1234 wants to change this display mode for the contacts already in the phone. Manually editting of each contact is not a good way to follow...say you have 400 contacts...edit each one of them? Gee...I event don't wanna think about it.
An easier way (as I did it in the past since I couldn't find another way) is to export your contacts from Outlook into Excel, than concatenate the two text strings "First Name" and "Last Name" into one single text string (under "First Name" for ex) and import back the file in Outlook. Then, by syncing you should get the adress book properly sorted and displayed. It should take no more than 10 min.
That's in Outlook But that setting does not exist on my phone

If you want your Contacts to be displayed as First name then Last name, use this cab else this one for the reverse.

Carty..
That's great,

Patrick

Thats a standard feature, you don't need to install anything to get that.
In that case I realy don't understand what installing the cab has added

Hi,
Is there any way to select multiple people easily when sending out sms messages?
Thanks
when u write a texts and type the name in the "To:" box and then select the name, the phone puts ";" in and you able to add another name and so on
Hope this makes sense and is what you asked
Marty
Thanks for the reply, what i was reallyt after is there a way of selecting multiple contacts in one go. For example is there a way to pull up my contacts as a list with a tick box next to it, so i can jsut tick the ones i want to send it to, or do i have to select is one and then back to the main text screen, then add another person. etc
you may have to use a 3rd party app to be able to do group sms in that way.
Thanks Marty for the reply again, does anyone know of any third part apps that may be able to do this.
Thanks

Hi pau1200,
Maybe Flexmail can handle this.

Hello,
I am using HTC Diamond 2 for 3 months already. Recently i had restored from backup all my contacts and since then in Htc SMS all names start from First name then Surname. Before Surname was the first.
When i am creating new sms message and search for contact all of them are in Surname,Firstname form. But when i point one i need it is changing by itself to Firsname Surname.
Is there any settings or tweak to change this? I need Surname to be the first, it is more convenient for me.

I do not know how to do all contacts at once, but individually you can go to Windows (Not Manila) Contact manager and select a contact\edit\file as.

Thank you Bruce for reply.
No, this does not work. I already have all contacts in Contact Manager as Surname, Firstname. Same in HTC SMS when i browse for contact to create new sms.
The name's order changes by it self in a second, right after i had add it to new sms. Also i had tried to use Vito SMS chat and there is no such problem, in all names Surname are first one. So, i guess, it is problem with HTC SMS.
Any clue?
In htc people tab all people, select contact, edit contact, scroll to bottom, select more, on 2nd page click in the field "File as". You will need to do each contact individually.
Thanks Codehunter for reply, but your answer is basically the same as Bruce's ones. I had already all my contacts with FileAs field looks like Surname, Firstname and this does not help me.
