I have this problem with my diamond.
When I receive an incoming call it starts ringing, but it rings only for 20 seconds, after that it rejects automatically tha call.
Why does it happen? Is there any configuration to change this setting?

Wow...it was an operator setting...i never modified this setting.
Thank you for the answers. I have disabled all call forwarding.
IRUS mate, brilliant advice, works like a charm!
Much appreciated...I would have never figured that out
I've also have this problem but can't change the length for Call Forwarding. All the other settings yes but there is an option to change the lenth to 30 secs from 20 secs and its rejected. I rang Orange who I'm with and they say its a software problem with the handset, can anyone help?

Hi,
Ok, i tried ringing my kaiser from another phone and realise that the kaiser only actually starts ringing/vibrating and notifying of an incoming call ONLY after 2 rings from the phone making the call.
This has an overall effect on me knowing if i am going to get calls, missed calls and calls diverting to voicemail after 6 rings...
Can someone confirm they get the same problem...

Can't duplicate the problem here! It rings on the very first ring.
Hi
If the phone is in standby (it's normal state after a couple of minutes) then it will take about a ring or 2 for it turn on and sound the notification. This seems normal for all pocket PC phones. SmartPhone's behave more like normal mobiles and ring quicker as they are always on and don't have a standby mode like pocket PCs.
Having a ring tone on the storage card can also slow things down so make sure your ring tones are in the devices memory.
Regards
Phil
Same problem here.
If my phone in sleep/ON mode the incoming call will forward to voicemail.
Outbound call always work.
If I power cycle the phone, incoming call will work.
I think something not sync between the phone and the ATT network.
So ATT think my phone is offline.
Hey all...I probalby should know this as I have uses a PPC device for 2 years...but I don't remember having this issue on my last phone.
When I am on a call and get another coming in it consistently beeps/rings for the call waiting.
I have set my phone up to wait 30 seconds before going to voicemail (as I am not always around the phone). Because of this if I am in the middle of a conversation and get another call, I can't hear the other party (and am distracted myself) because my phone keeps ringing the other line for 30 seconds until the call is rejected.
When using MS Voice Command, I get the same thing with incoming announcements. If I am on the phone with Caller A and then Caller B calls, MSVC keeps saying "Incoming Call from Caller B."
I don't want to turn off Call Waiting, but I would like to change the notification so it is only a beep or something simple every 5-10 seconds and not a continuous ringing or talking.
Is the caller ID ring/tone able to be managed differently from the ring tone/announcement? What is the best way to manage this?
thanks
bumping to see if anyone has advice?
I have Same Problem With BlackStone and this annoying me so much

In the option menu, when your are one the page with number to call, there is a few of possibility:
vibrate in first, then ring (your case)
vibrate AND ring
...
Select vibrate and ring, your diamond will ring immediatelly at the first ring...
Excuse my english, i'm french...

If that is an operator setting maybe it's possible to change it in your operators' voice mailbox settings?
Thank you for your reply, I ve gott another mobile phone SE and it getting the incoming call with the first ringing, but with the diamond it is ringing after 2 incoming signal? I think there is a problem with the setting or some thing else but cann't get it back...any one can help its appreciated.
Its not from the operator and neither from signal setting.
Many have had same problem, i think there is a thread about this some where. I solved it by increasing the amount of time before my voicemail picked up (need to talk with your phone company about that) and using a .wav ringtone format. Sorry no "easy" fix
Thanks Hippo-DK , how can I find that thread? I'm in need to get this broblem solved, how can I do mailbox? or what?
He's right in the fact that you have to contact your cellular provider to increase the rings before going to voicemail, but you can't keep it from waiting 2 rings before actually ringing. It's a problem that no one has found a direct solution for.
My wife has a Touch Diamond 2 with original stock ROM from about a year ago. She has a recurring problem with incoming calls stopping ringing after 3 rings - meaning that she misses virtually all of her calls. A quick test reveals that the caller continues to hear the phone ringing after my wife's phone stops ringing.
She has Call Forwarding (in Network service settings) set to divert calls after 30 seconds, although this seems to reset itself to 15 seconds every time she reboots the phone (??).
She's in the Asda Mobile network in the UK (which I believe is based on Vodafone).
Has anyone else had this issue?
I think all of us(married males)face this problem i e ,our voice is gone when our wives appear.
The issue is your forward settings.

The forward settings are to forward to voicemail after 30 seconds.
???
If you take those setting off, it will roll to Vmail in 4 rings or whatever your carrier sets it to.
The 30 secs is interferring and causing it to roll after 3.

You are you saying that the 30 sec setting is effectively meaningless/useless, and that she only has the choice between 3 and 4 rings? (which is usually too short, as she never has the phone near enough to answer it that quickly!)

Basically yes.
You can contact your provided and I think they can configure it from their end to set for more rings. There is no way to control this from the phone.
If you are in the US, you can use Google Voice. If she sets it up to forward to her cell, it will give more time to answer.
