Hi,
Is there any way to get the phone to automatically turn on the speaker when i take out the stylus?

Dear all,
hope someone can help.
I have tried everything but can’t get the mute function to work when you lay down your phone upside down or when you lay the display side down on the table. Even when I lay it down it still rings loud.
Does anyone have an idea what it could be?
Hi.
To use the mute when flipped functionality, you don't leave the phone upside down. You leave it face up and turn it over when it rings. It's the action of turning it upside down that mutes the call - not being upside down itself.
If you want to mute the phone so you don't need to do anything when you get a call, I'm afraid you just have to mute it.
My screen always stays on when I am on my bluetooth headset on my captivate. After about a minute, it idles out for a split second but then turns itself back on automatically. If I press the power button to turn off the screen, it will only turn back on immediately. Is there any way to turn off the screen while on bluetooth? (a setting, hack or app?)
+1 on that...
I have my phone in my back pocket, click on my ear piece to make a bluetooth call, finish the call, then click the ear piece disconnect....the screen stays on and i start butt-texting/calling/surfing/etc.
any help would be awesome.
thanks.
edit...sorry. wrong forum.

I don't want to turn off the proximity sensor because if I make a regular call without bluetooth, I still want it to turn the screen off.
I've tried screen off utilities, but the screen just turns back on again after blanking for a split second. Plus, I have to do it manually during a call.
During the call it happens that speaker turns on automatically and/or switch of the microphone.
Any thought?
I could swear their used to be a setting in the phone app to automatically turn off the screen during calls. I can't find it in the version with this device, and although the proximity sensor works when I'm holding it to my ear during a call, when it's in my pocket the screen stays on, (or if receiving a call/connecting while driving it turns on), leading to the mute, bluetooth, or end call buttons being randomly pressed during calls and causing issues. Am I just not finding the setting, or is it gone, or is there some other way to shut off the screen automatically when a call is connected? ( I know, don't leave the phone in my pocket by driving, but looking for something a little more functional here). Thanks!
