would it be possible to create a command line shortcut to delete the currently active email in TF3D?
I get lots of junk mail and I'd like a quicker way to get rid of it. A soft key on the email tab to call the shortcut would be even better!

I know that this was addressed before, but after searching LITERALLY for about 30 minutes I cant find the registry edit needed to make the email tab in HTC Home default to Outlook (and not whatever the last previously used messaging program was). Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
bump, someone please reply
bumping..........
I recall this being discussed quite a bit in the Hermes forum, and my conclusion was that the email icon has a mind of it's own and is not controllable by any reg settings or xml file. On my Hermes, it would always open the last one I used, but on the Tilt (with a later build of HTC Home) I always get the 'select an account' screen.
no matter, use the hard button for messaging. easier to hit without the stylus anyway. just keep hitting the button to cycle through your messaging accounts.
while looking for something else, i stumbled on this tidbit...
When I press the Email button on the "Home" tab, it takes me to my MMS/SMS messages. How can I fix this?
This is a known issue with the HTC Home Plugin. The workaround is to create a POP account on your device, then press the Email button again. It should now take you to your email messages. You can then remove the POP account if unneeded.

Is there away to delete emails without having to go into the account, and delete the message from there?
I can see the message is junk mail and would really rather just have a quick delete button!
also, is there a way to turn off Delete confirmation on SMS messages?
To delete a mail you have to open it and then Menu \ Delete. I'm agree with you than a direct option to delete it was very good
I would also like to be able to mark them as read... the same way it happens with text messages
Totally agree! I would like to see one of the soft-keys have a 'delete' function...
When I open an SMS by touching the message on TF3D it opens another dialog than from the SMS inbox. I prefer the thread dialog from SMS inbox. Is there a possibility to tweak TF3D to uses this application?
Your question is a bit unclear. On my Topaz the threaded inbox is being used by default when thicking a message from the TF3D inbox.
Yes, you are right but try the following
- from TF3D open the SMS inbox (you will see the list of all recieved SMS)
- click on an SMS
Also a thread presentation will be shown but different from the one out of TF3D.
I assume from inbox it uses the WM email application. For example now you can use the pre-prepared short texts as within the email function.
Is it understandable what I mean?
the 1 from the TF3D sucks. lets say you're text'ing & accidentally close the SMS, your SMS wont be saved automatically in the draft folder.
Personally, I ditched the TF3D after a week of having it. it looks nice, but quite redundant for what I need.
I don't really use my phone for email, I really only use SMS. So when I'm in my SMS inbox, if I slide my finger to the left or right then it will switch over to Outlook inbox. This can get very annoying, especially when I'm trying to touch to select one of my messages because it will sometimes accidentally slide to Outlook instead. Is there any possible way (registry edit?) to disable this sliding to switch inboxes thing?

Click to collapse
Search for a thread for "biotouch" i know that program when disabled disables the scrolling but - i think im not sure
Finally upgraded from S3 to S6 Edge. Love the phone, but I use 5 email accounts for my work and get tons of emails. I had a simple Delete All checkbox on the S3. It seems that the S6 allows a Delete All function in the Trash folders, but not in the active folders. Is there any way to do a batch deletion here? I don't mean "click each email, then press delete". I mean press one command, or an overriding checkbox to select all. Thanks for your help.
