I have read a lot on these pages about tweaks and enhancements you can make to your Diamond. I am considering trying a new ROM, but have also read about the TF3D Config tool. Can I just download this application and install it on my phone without changing the ROM? I am new to all this so don't want to get into anything too technical. How simple is TF3D config to use? Will it void my warranty etc? What could go wrong with installing TouchFlo 3d config?

I tested several roms and then came back to original rom.
Obviously it is at your own risk!
You can install TF3D also with the existing rom, you'll have a general improvement of the whole sistem.
Have a nice testing!

Hi. I'm a new owner of a HTC diamond, and I've just updated the rom and applied some tweaks. Just a question:
I'm noticing I disabled the fade and scroll effects for blocks background, some glass effect and animations in general.
Do you know how re-enable TF3D effects?

un tweak it then...or do a hardrest if you can un tweak it

No, fading effects were removed in latest updates to speed up transitions.
It's not due to tweaks, it's due to ROM update.
To get them back install older version of Manila with fade effects.
IMO are the effects a part of tour TF3D theme and not tweakable with a registry key.. I noticed the missing of the effect after I upgraded to the 1.93 ROM (htc). Have you tried a different theme?
I'm using HTC_Black_Colored theme, and there are no effects.
So if I want them back I have to downgrade the rom to a 1.93 previous version. Will hard reset recover the phone rom to its previous version?

Files in ROM can not be overwritten. The one in ROM will be kept and the new one will be copied to device and user, so it will double the space used.

this version enable transition animation between tabs. (no more effect) test it . u will see this
Tried 2 Times: setting, today, elements, uncheckd tf3d, installed cab, restarted and reactivated tf3d. Nothing.
(I'm not using and ENG rom)
all worked great for me. specs as per my siggy.
turn off TF3D in today options. Installed, Soft reset, Turn on TF3D in today options. Bad-a-bing, scrolling and effects again.
Maybe there's been a misundertandig: for "TF3D effects" I'm referring to the fade to black and slide effect for cubes background, and not to tab's slide effect.
swtos 0.98, is a 1.93 rom that has touchflo 1.0.1630.30. ie the stock effects. its smooth and the fastest rom here! so go flash and be happy again!!!
Is there a way to install the HD TF3d I saw in some ROM, just using a cab... so ... without flashing the whole rom for who want to keep the official one?

You're looking for Manila Loader and HD Manila to make it work properly.

What ROM did You use Sir, if it's WM6.5, then there is no way to disable it, just flash other ROM. But if it's not WM6.5 ROM, can You share it

May be it is HTC Menu Enhancement? Than you can disable it by newest Advanced Config.

Thank you for this 21632 test rom version, this rom now includes htc mega lockscreen and the video mode already functions for the first time since build 23001 aside from other noted enhancements
Noted bugs are the following:
1) Day appear only as a box in the titanium and during lockscreen mode
2) Day and am/pm in alarm and time settings also appear as a box
3) Calculator does not function
4) When language is shifted to chs language boxes will appear instead of the language selected

ok, ROM is flashed on my Himalaya. works fine, but HTC lockscreen looks like not complete work , font is ugly.

-Removed the opera browser, because many users don't use it and because it reserves a lot of internal memory. Installing on a storage card after the flash is the best thing to do).

-Increased PagePool from default to 15MB, showning a good increase on speed.

Downloads
First, you need to download the SSPL ROM Flashing Wizard from here
After that, select the rom that has the most suitable language and version from the folder:

Language Codes:
0407 = German Language
0408 = Greek Language
0409 = WWE Language
After you have downloaded and tested a Rom, please post back your experience with my rom. This way, it will be a lot easier to track and correct all the issues.

How to flash
*After you have downloaded all the necessary files from the 1st post, put the two files together (the sspl flash .exe file and the NHB file).
*Then run the .exe file. Make sure your running it with administrator rights or it will not work.
*Click the check box and hit next.
*Then, you need to be sure you have at least 50% battery left on the device, connect it via usb to activesync mode. Remember that the device should be on in the whole flashing procedure. Once done, hit next
*After the computer has veryfied your current rom version, hit the update button.
*Hit next and again next.
*You should now see a dialogue on the computer screen about the % of the flash completed. On this step, a box may appear on the device indicating that a file called enterboatloader wants to run. Touch Allow or whatever similar. This MAY happen if you have the original htc rom installed on the device.
*Now the flash will start. DO NOT interact with the device, because if something goes wrong, you will brick your device.
*When it reaches 100%, a message will appear on the pc indicating successfull installation of the rom. In this step, the device will restart and it is ready for use.

FAQ
How do I enable the Facebook Tab on the HTC Sense?
In the start menu, there is an icon called FixStartManila. You need to hit this icon twice, because there is a little bug. After you press it twice, restart the device. To disable, navigate in the Rearrange Tabs in Settings.
Note: After you have enabled Facebook Tab, the FixStartManila icon in the Start menu is useless and can be deleted...
How do I apply the violet wallpaper in Home Tab on Manilla (for those who are not so experienced with the HTC Sense)?
On the home tab, touch Menu, Home Wallpaper, weather wallpaper. You will find that wallpaper in this list. Select it and you are ready!
[FIXED]What is happening with the Black-violet theme in the specific version of a language rom?
Right now, I am having an issue with the WWE and ELL languages, in which the Black-violet theme for the Manila will not start . If you have any suggestions on what may be wrong, please PM me.

I uploaded some screenshots of my rom.
New version of my rom. I have removed the ULDR sector to free some space and from now on, my rom will come on 3 versions per language, one with the Cookies Home Tab, the other with the CHT removed and the other with the black-violet theme for the Manila only (see screenshots). Also added GERMAN Language! Try this out!

Can I use the defaut theme, when I use RUU_Signed_0407_1.3nohometab.nbh ROM? Because I like the original design and I don't want the black-violet theme.
Is it possible to deactivate Arkswitch?

Hello sorry for the delayed reply, but I was too busy with my job.
Regarding the version, I have uploaded 3 versions. The blackviolettheme rom has the violet sense theme, the hometab has cookies home tab v2 and the last named nohometab has all the ccustomization of other versions, but the stock htc theme. Choose the last If you don't like the violet them, but I'd suggest also to try cookies home tab vet, as its pretty much fast now.
To disable Arkswitch, run it, hit menu and then options. then disable the "Run on boot" and you are ready to go.
I am currently having a problem to download other language stock roms to develop and so I can't make other languages RIGHT NOW. I will make some in the future.
Actually my language plan is to go with French, then Italian and Spanish. So check this thread regularly.

This rom is for htc HD Mini, I have just included cookies home tab and edited the HTC Sense to fit all these. Just download the Cookie home tab version and start tweaking....
