Hi,
I have read a lot on these pages about tweaks and enhancements you can make to your Diamond. I am considering trying a new ROM, but have also read about the TF3D Config tool. Can I just download this application and install it on my phone without changing the ROM? I am new to all this so don't want to get into anything too technical. How simple is TF3D config to use? Will it void my warranty etc? What could go wrong with installing TouchFlo 3d config?

I tested several roms and then came back to original rom.
Obviously it is at your own risk!
You can install TF3D also with the existing rom, you'll have a general improvement of the whole sistem.
Have a nice testing!

He already left the HD world and entered the HD2 world

Its from KWBR himself.
This was his latest attempt for a 6.5 version of Topix (he did a very good job )
Super, I'm flashing
well it's the same as topix 3.1.2 but with windows 6.5. you get less ram available. the rest is the same. it is stable but no real plus.
i have finally flash it this morning and currently working great, except it reboot itself after i hard reset, after that it seem to be ok...i got to say, i'm surprised to see the smaller file size (maybe due to the new manila)...
looks like i need to redo all my wallpaper cabs and clock as well as the previous version of topix i'm on is using CFC compressed, even without compression TouchFLO is working fast...
kudos to KWBR, i can only imagine what KWBR can do with HD2...
edit: it comes with a slightly older ROM version than the topix i used, the % of memory after reset is around 38% without any program installed...

It runs flawlessly and much faster then the many 2.5 Roms i've tried!
I didn't like the old black & white icons, but this thread fixes that for me !
Together with this background for all tabs creator and Gfreek's Taskbar it is the best rom around!
I'll keep an eye out for any bugs i might encounter, but so far none !

the beta 4 is win 6.5 with the old manila 2.1 not the sense one, while Topix 3.2 has got the HTC Sense, similar but not the same as the Vanilla series Rhodium Port. so there is still the distinction there.
you might want to try Topix 3.2, its as fast and as stable as Vanilla Series.

just been doing some early spring cleaning in my PC and discovered this

the last one Lucarp78TS.cab will make the slider transparent
to increase Font size in SMS tab
to increase font size in SMS tab (ditch those reading glasses)
copy and paste this to windows directory using Total Commander then SR
search for teh mp3 trimmer as the one that is cooked with the rom is broken

to me this (almost forgotten) work of KWBR. is the perfect combination
Win 6.5 v21877 and the old Manila 2.1.
the Leo (Manila 2.5) ROM port is just too taxing for the HD and it was not
just made for it.
But as I have a commitment also to test these - Leo (Manila 2.5) ROM port -
Miri's Leo ROMs for the HD is also an excellent effort at this attempt.

Hello guys,
I try since two days to cook my own rom with VK (i already have made cooked rom for trinity in the past).
I'm using OEM from official rom and the same for XIP and SYS.
Ext packages are from LEO with manila 2.5.1922.
My rom is booting but Sense doesn't launch. Always "tap here to launch HTC Sense" on the today screen.
All apps cooked can be launched.
When I go to \windows to manually launch manila.exe, it's say that this application is probably not signed or some files are missing...
Is there something particuliary needed to cook sense (or need I to hide tab like it was for old touchFlo 2D ?)
More abused : can someone share his manila files in EXT folder ?

Make sure you have StartIconLoader that corresponds with that version of Manila set.
I can get Leo 1922 to work perfectly on my own ROM, but I have this exact same issue with Manila 2011.
From my working ROM I turned off Leo Manila and StartIconLoader and turned on the ones for Manila 2011 and it won't work.

So, StartIconLoader have the same version as all manila packages.

Thank you for this 21632 test rom version, this rom now includes htc mega lockscreen and the video mode already functions for the first time since build 23001 aside from other noted enhancements
Noted bugs are the following:
1) Day appear only as a box in the titanium and during lockscreen mode
2) Day and am/pm in alarm and time settings also appear as a box
3) Calculator does not function
4) When language is shifted to chs language boxes will appear instead of the language selected

ok, ROM is flashed on my Himalaya. works fine, but HTC lockscreen looks like not complete work , font is ugly.

LOL yeah you're new indeed, but mostly to HTC phones !
Manila (aka Touch Flo or Sense) can't actually be downloaded at all.
It's intimately included in the system, though it's still actually launched as a Windows Mobile Home plug-in.
To be able to use any version of Manila, you must absolutely flash your ROM with a complete new system version as a whole : Windows Mobile (any 6.x version) PLUS Manila (any version from 1 (original HTC HD factory version) to 2.5 (actually Sense extracted from a HD2)).
I guess this thread will be removed by the moderators anyway (the rules say "no general questions here")...
