As in title. I checked a couple of threads, but there were only a couple of guys asking for a solution... but no aswer given. In settings menu, we can change the wallpaper, but all it does is changing the Home menu background.
I personally think it should change all of them, so that they would all look better.
Is it possible using a reg tweak, overwriting some files etc?
There is not yet a solution for.

Hi,
I was searching for this, but i didn't found aswer
I would like to ask you, if i can change background image in "Programs" and "Settings" on HTC Herald, WM6. I'm bored with that white bcg, could i change this bcg by registry modify or change any pic in system folder?
Thx!
I've never heard of being able to change this. I dont think its possible
Hi everyone,
I'm having great difficulty in programmatically altering the current WM theme in a CESetup dll (C/C++). There seem to be a whole raft of registry values which need altering in order to reset the theme from T-Mobile/T-Mobile2 to the Windows Default. To give you an idea of what I'm on about, the one's I've tracked down so far which appear to influence it include:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Today\Skin
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Today\UseStartImage
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Color\BaseHue
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Color\SHColor
HKLM\System\GWE\SysColor
I also remove a couple T-Mobile's gifs in the \Windows dir which are removed when you switch themes through the Settings -> Today screen.
However, all these changes only seem to change *most* of the theme elements, images and colours to the Windows Defaults. The background image on the today screen and the background colour of the start menu are a couple of the obvious remnants.
I seem to have looked everywhere, but is there a simpler way to achieve a theme change, perhaps through a Windows Mobile Configuration Service Provider or some other less than obvious way? Not only would this be a benefit in actually changing the theme correctly, but hopefully it would make maintaining this dll much easier as WM versions advance.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Adrian
I Use Theme GenCE to modify or create a theme. It is very user friendly, works great and a freeware.
Download HERE
There is a tutorial on how to use Theme GenCE in the wiki...
Thanks for your reply, Reaper. I've looked over the tutorial and grabbed the program; it looks like a possibility.
However, I really wanted to avoid creating a theme; after all, I simply want to invoke the Windows Default, which I understand is stored on ROM. I am however running out of options and time; creating a theme to emulate the Windows Default theme may be the easiest and quickest way out of this, although it seems ridiculous that it's this difficult to change the theme to the default programmatically.
If anyone's got any other suggestions I'm all ears. Also, if anyone has any suggestions as to where to acquire all the parts required to build such a theme to emulate the Windows Default theme (such as background images, colour schemes) I'd be grateful too.
The only other solution I can think of is to enumerate all registry keys, and all files on the filesystem, prior to changing themes through the settings menu, and again afterwards, and doing a diff of the two, so I can see exactly what needs changing. However, even this isn't ideal, given that hardcoding all these locations isn't easy to maintain, and there are so many keys and files that need changing.
I'm really struggling to believe there isn't a simple one-stop switch to revert to default...
Okay.. I am normally pretty good with stuff like this but after 6 hours of trying I have found this site.
I have downloaded the programmes but none seem to leave me able to change the theme on my diamond. It will change the top and bottom bar but the home screen will not change.
Can someone please email me or spell out for me on here in simple terms how too.. as I seem to be having a really blonde day...
oh also looking for some Subaru themes thanks.
and sorry in advance if this is in the wrong place.
If you want to change ONLY the home screen back ground.. then use the wallpaper option instead.
SLIDE to Settings option from the homescreen and you will see WALLPAPER as one of the options.
Tap on that.
If you want to change the entire THEME.. here is how it is done:

Hope this helps.
About the Subaru themes... errr... I would suggest just putting up a wallpaper.
Might just take a while for someone to come up with a Subaru theme.
All the best

Any help would be appreciated. I have took everything off and reinstalled it and it still does the same.
Hey guys, I know this has been posted before, and i feel bad for making a new topic about it, but i've tried searching and cannot for the life of me find the topic. I don't even know the proper keyword to search.
Anyways an answer would be greatly appreciated.
In the touchflo 3d tabs, I know how to change the main wallpaper, but how do i put individual wallpapers for each tab?
Do i need 3rd party software? or is it a reg edit?
Thanks in advance!
no one can help me out????

hmm, thanks for replying, although it didn't really provide a solution to my question.
is there even a solution or it's not possible?
Do you mean the few dark grey squares in the backgroud that show in different tabs? My belief is that you can't change the wallpaper there because it's not a simple wallpaper image file that is there (my belief is the background is built up by one single square image file). But you can change the color of the squares (from grey to red or blue) or outlook of individual squares (from rectagle to circle, maybe? but it may look silly to do so).
Well at least not for now, but I am sure somebody is hacking the phone hard enough to make it happen one day .
you need manila editor to change the square appearance, btw. Look for the "square" image file in manila editor and change it to whatever color/shape you like. Try, if you don't like it. Switch it back.
Hi!
I feel like I have exhausted the internet looking for an answer to this and thought you guys could help.
All I want is to use a custom icon for folders. That's it. I am aware of many apps that allow you to change app icons, but not folders.
I know this is possible by changing the launcher, but that sound scary to me....
Thanks!
