i was wondering on if/how i could change a few settings perhaps by tweaking some databases. i want to remove the ringtone fade-in, and perhaps change a few color schemes. also, with the install "stock lockscreen" as an option, could i modify this file to create my own lockscreen without the problems of 3rd party lockscreen apps have? i've also done some searching but i guess it doesn't exist, but i'll ask anyway, is there hupsa or screen notifications for froyo? thanks for whomevers time.
How do i enableRecentApps in a theme ??
I have a theme i like and the only thing missing is the Recent App function...
I have enablePowerControl|enableRecentApps in notification_config.txt
But i can´t figure out how (or what) to mod in the framework-res.-files in order to get this to work...
So pleace help me a little with this, as i have created my own little theme from copying different parts i´d like from various other themes...
The REAL problem i have is that i´d like to have 5 rows in both the app drawer and main screen, and at the same time transparrent drawer...
but i have not been able to find that without at the same time to loose the Recent Apps function...
Perhaps this is a noob, but then i´m sorry, i just like to learn a little about this...

Hi guys Im looking for guidance, I know it's possible to break open an apk file, find the .png being used for the icon and replace it with another .png. Can someone please guide me on how to do this, where to look , what to do, framework ect, I ve used the search button - but havn't found a definitive guide - looking at changing dock icons, txt, home ect and app icons. Ive found Android Asset Studio, which can be used to reform the icons for android - but unsure on the whole process.
Can someone shove me towards a definitive, easy to follow guide or produce 1 or give me a guide on at least 1 dock icon (software needed ect, ect)

what's in your mind? Do you want a single APK that overwrite every .png files?
Do you wanna change the icon time by time?

In any case, if u wanna get custom icons and replace them, u can use as WORGERM wrote, desktop visualizer.
A very easy app that allows you to insert custom widgets on homescreen (u can choose how big they have to do 1x1 2x1 3x1 etc) and the possibility to change the icon (choose it from your SD card) and the application to start when click on the icon.
To get the specific icons for replacement, i sugget you to use Photoshop.

I'm trying to figure out if I can create a EmotionUI theme which also changes the icons of individual apps.
Is this possible?
I know some system icons are named as for example: com.android.browser.png
Would I simply have to find the name for the app icon and change it to for example: com.whatsapp.png?
I don't know how to find these values if this is the way to go.
But I would very much like my theme to be able to change ALL icons I could possibly make for the apps I have, not just the system icons.
Also is there some sort of emotionui forum this question should be posted? I couldn't find it...
EDIT: I also found out I am unable to change theme. I can change the appearance of the current theme I'm using by taking stuff from other theme's, but when I apply a other theme the theme will stay on the current one and doesn't switch. This includes the lockscreen theme and some other things I wish to still change like fonts and such.

EDIT2: Okay it seems like this method is working. I just use an apk extractor to check which value an app has. For whatsapp this was indeed com.whatsapp.png which worked. However for com.android.vending.png which is google playstore, that one doesn't seem to work. I would like to find out why...
This way I can have all my icons in a custom theme
EDIT3: after my factory reset in my other post I couldn't change the themes anymore.
