Sorry if this has been mentioned already - cannot find anything in the Diamond forums about this.
In the start menu on my Diamond at the top is a horizontal list of icons which appear to be recently started applications. Whilst this may seem useful, it is not something I want.
How do I remove/disable it?
Thanks
This is something i would like to know too.

OK, forgive me if this has been covered elsewhere -- the search term "all programs" doesn't really get much in the way of specific responses, so someone might've covered this before, but I've not been able to find it.
The "All Programs" -> "Launch Program" link on the program tab of Touchflo 3D is, to my mind, one of the real winners of the whole application. It's got fantastic touch response, it's good looking, and all the apps (including whatever newly installed thing I'm playing with) are nicely displayed and finger friendly.
What I'd like is to be able to direct link to it -- for instance, have the 'programs' button on TF3D home instead link to 'All Programs'... or even replace the 'programs' in my start menu with 'All Programs'...
...but I don't know how it works, and I sorta guess the function is rolled into TF3D, and can't be pulled out. Anyone know for certain?
Thanks!
i'm bumping this cause i need to know aswell.
I need the answer too; please, any help ???
Anyone??????
That would be perfect! But sorry, I got nothing
just a bump for someone more clever
maybe this is of some help??

I have tried a search but (I think) because it requires too many search terms I have been unable to dig up what I want. As per the thread title I want to replace the phone shortcut on the bottom left of the touchscreen with a contacts shortcut as I have seen on a screenshot of a cooked rom. Is this available somewhere as a cab or hiding somewhere in advanced config...? TIA
Look here: http://wiki.xda-developers.com/index.php?pagename=Universal_Registry
Got it thianks. Did you know where to look or search? Be curious to know what search terms you used if you searched.
Edit... Found it in advanced config. Had looked under tf3d, display etc but no joy. I had previously noticed the keymapping option but didnt realize that it included the soft keys. Lesson learned.
Hi, I'm not sure if that is what it's called, but the button in the upper right of the screen that lets you look at all of your current running programs and lets you close some or all is now gone.
I was trying to get SPB Pocket Plus to work and it was having some strange behavior (one is losing the X-Button). I have removed the software, but I still have no X-Button. If anyone can help me to restore this, it would be much appreciated. I haven't been able to find anything through search regarding this.
Thank you!
look for htc task manager and try to reinstall it.
settings, system, task manager, button tab, enable quick menu on today screen
That was it sjm...thank you very much. I wonder what disabled that?
Hi All,
Just updated my Touch Diamond 2 to TOM's new WM 6.5 ROM. I'm happy with everything, but the new start menu is a little awkward. Its very small, and it shows everything. I liked HTC's original TouchFlo 'Programs' tab, as this allows me to add shortcuts to the apps I use most, and hide the remaining ones in the "All Programs" soft key.
However, I don't know how to change it so when I click the Start Menu (or the hardware button) it opens the Programs screen. I'm sure its a registry setting, but I don't know which one exactly.
Any help would be appreciated.
I dunno whether this will be the one for you, but it's worth taking a look at:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\HTC\EnlargeMenu]
"EnableManilaStartMenu"=dword:00000001

Click to collapse
Thanks, but this doesn't seem to work. Even a reset doesn't change the start menu behaviour.
Can anyone else help?
hard reset?
as the title ...
How about this one:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HTC\Manila]
"EnableStartMenu"=dword:00000001
(perhaps in conjuction with the other one)
Hi to all
I realise this is not a specific ROM type question, but if anyone was to know it would be you guys....
(I posted this in General with no responses)
Essentially, i am looking for a tweak that will make the 'Notes' program scrollable (kinetic..) with your finger. I have fiddled with a few Beta programs but all seem to conflict or have other issues, so no joy.
I am thinking there must be a reg tweak or something that will enable it or add it to a list or something (like the g-sensor whitelist) to make it finger scrollable - it seems odd on a stock 6.5 (SEA) ROM that this feature is not already available on this most basic program...
Any advice really appreciated (It's driving me nuts - and i don't have far to [email protected]!).
Cheers
Jabberoo
I would also like to know how to do this, but for RSS Hub's article view. I searched the registry and don't see anything. It seems stuck in "make selection" mode.
Actually, I know FTouchSL (www.ftouchsl.com) works but my problem is that it messes with all sorts of other apps on my phone (including HTC's stuff). I'd like to use it for just a few apps but it works by an exclusion principle ("blacklist": ignoring apps you don't want it to apply to) rather than inclusion ("whitelist": applying only to specific apps). Of course, I'm interested in the latter. The problem is, you have to go through the tedious process of excluding EVERY SINGLE APP you don't want it to work with!
I've emailed support at ftouchsl regarding a whitelist so we'll see if something turns up.
But if someone comes up w/ something to be able to finger scroll in Notes, I'd be VERY interested!
BTW, I have a GSM Raphael.
Wrong section, and a double post.
Closed.
